They can have Wyoming. It has a lot os space right? No way Wyoming is beautiful. Put them all in like the desert or something. They can have North Dakota. I’ll move.

I find this confusing since it hasn't been spreading like wildfire among kids in daycare. This is true. Schools have been closed but most daycares here have been open since June and some never closed. The after school program through the school has remained open since March for all daycare for working parents with older kids. There have been no positives. My oldest has attended this summer and while staff wears masks, kids don't. Many other daycares in our area have stayed open and despite some major spikes in our area the past couple of months, they have not had any infections. Not saying it might not happen, but it does give me some peace of mind as we are both healthcare workers and the option of keeping 3 kids at home isn't possible for us.

Gohmert’s taking hydroxychloroquine, and without a trace of irony, tweets about how he hopes his tweets won’t get flagged because this is a private decision between him and his doctor.
Swalwell called him on it in the best way.

The camp in Georgia was a sleepaway camp where no one wore masks, so that eases my worries a bit.

My 72 year old mother called me this morning. The superintendent of the school district she used to teach in called her and asked her to be a long-term sub this fall. She is fairly healthy, but she lives with my 78 year old dad, who has numerous serious health issues, in a midwestern red state with few cases in their area.
They will be attending school in person.
She really wants to do it.
I feel ill.

This is what the seriously data-privacy-paranoid Germans have done. We have hit the critical mass on downloads, but if depends on positive people putting their positive test into the app (where it has to be confirmed by authorities), then the notification goes out to everyone your phone has had bluetooth contact with in the last 2 weeks. So far they're having a very hard time saying whether it's working because the data protection on it is so strict and there have been so few cases. So, good and bad? Our cases are increasing again, though, so we should be able to see how effective it is soon. the fact your bluetooth has to be on all the time, is why this won't work so well, as lots of people turn off bluetooth to save battery, and to keep from being "hacked" of their data/virtual wallet stuffs Battery life is my legit concern. I am already terrible at keeping my phone charged.

Well that article about kids is incredibly unsettling. Ugh. They didn’t monitor transmission rates, though. So that’s a glimmer of hope. Is anybody studying transmission rates in little kids? This is clearly an area we NEED information in.

Utah is sending students back to school under what is called a modified quarantine. If a teacher or student was exposed to Covid they can still go to school until they experience symptoms or a positive test. Yep that’s the state I live in. I’m terrified to go back to work now. 😢

Right. There is no way that kid didn’t have a test result pending because it’s so unlikely they had symptoms and got a test and results back in the span of an 8 hour school day. WTF to everyone who knew
