week/fruit/edd: 17/onion
appointments: Nothing until week 20
team: Pink
milestones: Nothing recently; waiting (impatiently!) to feel her move.
symptoms: Not much now. Cravings and exhaustion have dissipated (which makes me paranoid). I do feel the need to pee constantly, which is getting annoying.
rants/raves/vents: I've been trying to ignore it, but I'm starting to get nervous about COVID's impact on delivery. I know it's still a few months off, but I'm getting sad thinking about how different things might look. My mom and I are so close; I hate thinking that she won't be there and might not be able to see the baby for a while.
gtky: 4th of July plans? We might take advantage of a 3 day weekend and start on the nursery. Hoping for good weather to so I can relax around the pool, too.

week/fruit/edd: 19+4/crepe suzette/11/15
appointments: a/s on 11/29, reg ob 11/30
team: finding out
milestones: almost halfway 😱
symptoms: mood swings, which h is getting the brunt of. energy is up and my overnight sleep has improved.
rants/raves/vents: rant - also stressing more and more about delivery. trying not to think about it. my state is on a downward trend right now but i’m nervous for the fall. rave - h finally gets paid for the first time since march next week. i’m looking forward to finally starting to furnish this house - maybe some baby stuff too. im hoping it will help me get a little more excited about this pregnancy.
gtky: 4th of July plans? we usually go to h’s brother’s lake place for the day but that’s probably not happening this year. i’m just excited h actually has a long weekend.

Anatomy scan was yesterday. I will not be having a November baby. The placental flow was not good. I'm only 20w5d but she is measuring more than a week behind. They are not sure how long she will be safe inside or if we will make it to viability. It's just a wait and see game. They also don't have an explanation for why this is happening. She does otherwise look good and I'm doing ok. If we make it to viability the game plan is to admit me to the hospital for close monitoring and she will be delivered as soon as the situation worsens. It will worsen. Right now we just need time and growth. She is very active which feels comforting and heartbreaking all at the same time.

week/fruit/edd: 18 weeks; Sweet Potato; 12/1
appointments: Next appt is my anatomy scan on the 15th
team: Green but wavering 😬
milestones: I’m feeling movement daily and most of the time can get baby to respond when I poke and prod.
symptoms: Some heartburn and exhaustion but otherwise I’m doing alright.
rants/raves/vents: My SIL who is due end of Dec found out she’s having a girl! We were hoping that we’d either both have girls or both have boys but my gut is telling me that mine is a boy. Guess we’ll see!
gtky: 4th of July plans? The 4th is MH’s bday. We were supposed to go to my parents’ house for a cookout but canceled when my mom learned that 2 of her employees have tested positive for Covid. Now we’re unsure of what to do and it’s a 4 day weekend for us!

I'm so sorry, sarahwithanh. Hoping you make it as long as possible! Did they put you on bedrest?

Fearsy, it would be so hard to stay team green now that you know what SIL is having! I swore we were having a boy (even started referring to baby as our boy name). But surprise, we're team pink!

I'm so sorry, sarahwithanh. Hoping you make it as long as possible! Did they put you on bedrest? No bestest yet because it won't help. Weekly scans until she is viable then admission and daily monitoring plus drugs to help development. Tomorrow is another scan. Sorry I posted and have been absent. It's been a lot.

So the scan was the best we could have hoped for. It is the same as last week BUT not worse. This gives us a whole nother week and a chance. We also got a lot more information and a basic plan in place. I will likely be admitted next Friday which brings me to 23w. The hope will be for viability and after that we hope for as much time as possible but right now she is ok and we take it day to day.

Thank you guys. 23 w 3d today. I'm in the hospital now until I have her. They won't let me go a day past 32 weeks but ultimately it's critical and week to week. So far I've gotten steroids and magnesium to help with her development. She is doing ok. The flow is as bad as it will get really but the placenta is holding up enough that she is fighting. She is feisty and has had good biophysical profiles so far. Plan for now is daily intermittent monitoring and if her heart rates start to be concerning she will be delivered. Also get daily ultrasounds. But hopefully slow steady growth and a long boring stay

I'm sorry you're stuck in the hospital with this worry but it sounds like you are in good hands. What are you doing to pass the time? Do you have a lot of shows to binge on?

Coloring books, cross stitching, games, and more. We planned pretty well for this. Still harder than anticipated.
