Weeks/Due Date/birthday - May 15/will be 6 weeks friday The Good - he seems to have mostly settled into doing one 5-6 hour stretch per night the last few nights, which feels great. Fingers crossed that it continues. My big kids started ymca day camp this week and they’ve been happier and sleeping better, and it’s been great to catch up on stuff I needed to get done. Also house cleaner came back yesterday for first time since early March and I’m loving the really clean house. The Bad - Baby has a clogged tear duct again, and is generally pretty fussy when awake during the day. I’m still working quite a bit most days - virtually of course, but that’s adding some stress. Milestones/Appointments - nothing till 2 months. I bought a cheap baby scale on amazon to keep track. To Do List - address birth announcements, find next size clothes for baby. This is one of the pics from our photo session.

sdlaura that is the sweetest picture!!
Working meaning back to work for your job? Don’t you get six weeks at least? That’s impressive and also sounds tiring, how are you feeling?
E has had a clogged tear duct off and on since birth and it’s looks so uncomfortable! I forgot about that since DS1 also had them a lot in the early months. I use breast milk when it’s bad and a warm cloth in the mornings but everytime I think it’s gone it comes back 🙁

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - 1 day old/ 6/23
The Good - baby is here! She is the sweetest. We got home today around noon, rested for a couple hours and then the big girls came home to meet their sister. We have had a great evening at home passing the baby back and forth.
The Bad - my back hurts where the epidural was and from positioning while pushing, my lady bits are sore and swollen as to be expected. Baby had me up a lot last night so hopefully she does more sleeping tonight than she did last night.
Milestones/Appointments - first appt is Friday morning for baby. I need to call to get into the chiro either tomorrow or Friday.
To Do List - snuggle this baby.

So sweet trtlcrzy!! Also we have the same boppy cover, even though my last 3 kids are boys aries I get 13 weeks of maternity leave. But it’s my fourth leave with the same firm, and they’re still paying me 100% which you don’t have to do here, and I’m a partner/owner in my firm and I have clients that I know the most about. It’s also a weird stock market/investment environment where clients need more hand holding. I’ve done a few pitches for new business, which today was, and if I win new business I get a bonus. So all of this is to say that I don’t have to work, but there are lots of reasons to work a bit when I can. Now that I have childcare for all 3 older kids and DH is also working from home and can help with the baby some, it’s really not too bad.

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - May 22, almost 5 weeks
The Good - he's such a sweet baby. He's starting to sleep longer stretches at night. Unfortunately for me, the longest one is early and I'm not ready to sleep myself at that point to take advantage of it lol. He's growing great now. Saw our doctor yesterday and he gained 18ozs in 2 weeks. He's also grown 4cm since birth. He's having more awake time during the day, but no real pattern yet.
The Bad - it's so hot and humid this week, we are struggling. I suspected H has a posterior tongue tie plus a lip tie (they did a quick check at birth and said no ties, but you can't see posterior, you have to feel for it). Anyway she checked and sure enough he does. We have a referral to get it fixed but not sure how long it will take with everything going on. On the plus side he is gaining well now, so if it takes a little longer we will be ok.
Milestones/Appointments - next appointment is in 3 weeks

Well all that complaining I did about being the last one to have my baby worked. I went into L&D for some bleeding and it turns out my blood pressure was elevated and not coming down, so I am being induced! They just put the cervadil (sp?) in, so now we wait... !! 🥴🥴

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - 3 weeks old/June 3
The Good - He's much more laid back than DS1.
The Bad - I'm pretty sure he has reflux because he refuses to sleep flat on his back most of the time. He doesn't really spit up (fingers crossed it stays that way - this will be a first for our family!), but he is clearly uncomfortable when he's laying down flat and usually starts crying within 10 minutes. It makes nighttime sleep really rough.
Milestones/Appointments - next check up is for 2 months in early August. I was able to schedule it at the same time as DD's 9 year check up, so that's one less trip to the doctor's office for our family.
To Do List - I've been trying to do one thing a day (little sleep = low expectations), and I really want to get our living room rug vacuumed today. That's as far as I've planned.

Weeks/Due Date/birthday - May 22/ 5 weeks tomorrow
The Good - She’s been a pretty good sleeper at night.
The Bad - Still spitting up a lot which has made so much extra laundry.
Milestones/Appointments - She had her 1 month check up on Tuesday. She’s gained 1 pound since birth.
To Do List - Figure out what I need to pack/buy for 1 week at the beach with an 8 week old, 2 ,4 and 7 year old.

Yay twopeas - good luck!! magaroni we’re still planning to go on a weeklong vacation this summer (in August) and I’m sure it will be daunting to pack. I’m planning to have some baby stuff and groceries delivered directly to the rental house.

Good luck twopeas! trtlcrzy your girls look so proud! txaggie08 unfortunately, those sleep problems sound like what my daughter had. We eventually started her on reflux meds and it helped some. Probably uncommon, but she actually ended up having a milk soy protein intolerance so I had to cut all that from my diet. Hope yours is simply some reflux!

hangry His poops seem normal and we haven't had any food intolerances in the past or on either side of our family, so I'm also hoping it's just reflux too. DS1 had reflux but it was obvious by how much he spit up, so that was easier to diagnose.

Just checking to see if there’s a new baby twopeasNo baby yet. I haven't even been checked since they put the cervidil in 11 hrs ago, when I was only "a fingertip" dilated. I have to have dilated some by now though, because I've been finally feeling contractions for a few hrs now. My induction with DS1 lasted 33 freaking hours, so I'm not expecting this to be over anytime soon!

My induction took way longer than I was hoping but much shorter than my first labor.

PDQ Baby made his dramatic debut this morning. 25 hrs of induced labor... only a little shorter than my first, lol. Beck.ett Co.le 7lb 9oz 20 in He was sunnyside up so needed vacuum assistance to make it out, which is why his head is swollen & bruised. He is currently in the "special care" nursery to monitor him for respiratory distress because his heart rate dropped for 11 minutes while pushing so they couldn't get him to cry, and his color was not great at first. I'm hoping he'll be back in my room with me soon!!

Congratulations twopeas! He's so handsome! This LO was also face up with a conehead at birth, but it went away really quickly. Hopefully it's the same for you.

Congrats twopeas!!! My first was vacuumed out too which caused bruising and they said likely had some impact on him developing jaundice. I don’t remember the relationship. So keep an eye out for that. I also had 4th degrees tears because of vacuum. It sounds like you didn’t, thankfully!!

Yes, his levels for jaundice are slightly elevated due to the bruising and also because my first was jaundiced (no vacuum) and I guess if one kid has it, it's more likely for subsequent kids. So far we haven't needed to treat it, so hopefully those levels stay low. I'm not sure what degree tear I have, but my Dr did an episiotomy and I tore, and it took him awhile to stitch me up so I'm sure I'm a mess down there, lol. He said, "sorry it's taking awhile, I'm just trying to make it look normal." 😳

I didn’t even bother looking for a long time because I was scared. By the time I did, things looked pretty normal.

V is a little jaundice but not enough to require the lights. We are keeping an eye on it, but she’s for sure yellow. I also was told that it can run in families. Also, that is the last thing you want to hear someone say when they are stitching you up. 😬

I’m back down to prepregnancy weight, but don’t be jealous cause I only gained 14lbs and my baby was 8. I still need to lose another 30+lbs to get to a healthy weight but I’m not in any rush. Also, the hakaa is the world’s best invention. Today is V’s due date, so glad I got a bonus 5 days with her 🥰
