3 more days of work then I am done for the summer. I have PD to do, a few zoom meetings and tomorrow we are having a pick up parade for the children to get their belongings.
I gave DD the week "off" last week. I heard "I'm bored" and " what can I do" about 10x a day. And I was pretty lax about her screen time. So now she has a little checklist of things that she needs to do.

Thanks for asking. She's doing well other than some separation anxiety. I'm hoping it's just a transition thing since she went through so much change in such a short period of time.

I'm not feeling good this morning. I'm not sure why, but I feel like I could sleep forever and I have a pretty big headache starting.
We decided to visit my dad down in west Texas the 27th for a few days. I don't really want to go, but it's been a really long time and he has a new serious medical diagnosis so I think it's important. The drive is long and hard on the boys and therefore their parents and it's going to be hotter than balls. James is super excited though.
I am beyond ready to get back to my normal job...like I'm honestly not sure how much longer I can continue what I'm doing. My mental health is suffering.

I’m in Arizona where everyone acts like Covid is a thing of the past even though we appear to be the number one hotspot now.
I still take my kids to daycare because it’s impossible to get my work done and my work is essential in getting kids fed right now.
I have been trying very hard to work on my mental health by walking every morning and having quiet time before I start my day. I think it has been helpful.
My kids seem to be doing well now that they are in a routine. Both of their birthdays are in July and I have no idea what I’m going to do, if anything.
I sure hope a year from now looks way better than now.

kam3100 You are right about the quiet time in the morning. I had to get up early yesterday because I had to go in to work. It was nice having the time to myself. I might try to do it a few times a week.

kam3100, I hear you on all of that! People here are totally ignoring the fact that COVID is still present and growing, but I send my little guy to daycare because I don't know how else to function. We have been getting up early since November to work out at home. It's so nice to just get it over with before anything else gets in the way, and leads to some quiet time before the kids get up (that we've lately been using to work). We're having a zoom party for the big one - mailing a packet to each friend with supplies, and doing bingo, a drawing lesson, and singing Happy Birthday. Also a new bike, since hers is getting tons of use right now. The little one will be happy with his sister and cake!

I just joined this month and the accountability has been great for me. I only workout three days a week and haven't adjusted my diet at all, but I hope to incorporate some strength training into my routine soon.

This morning I taught DS3 to drink the milk from his cereal bowl. He was scooping it up with his spoon so I showed him how to just pick the bowl up and drink. At first he was blowing into the bowl, but quickly figured out how to drink. We've introduced open cups a few times, but it's probably something we should work on more now. I like having the option of an open cup when we're away from the house so we don't have to rely on having a sippy cup wherever we go.

I know I need to make changes to my diet. Last time, I lost weight without exercising so this time I want to do both. I told myself that I would start 3 days a week, but decided to do a BBM challenge which is 6 days then rest

Haley is not a fan of milk in her cereal. She does pretty well drinking from a cup. She thinks she is so cool if I give her a little cup with a splash of OJ in it when we have breakfast on the weekend

Running sure does work up an appetite! I’m allowing myself to work exercise into my routine before being too critical of my diet. A better diet also comes naturally with working out because I feel better on my runs when I eat better. Good luck on your challenge!

ohreally I am not doing any crazy diet changes right now. Mainly watching my portions (like putting a few chips on my plate VS bringing the bag to the table 😉) and cutting back on the sweets at night. H has been grocery shopping and he comes home with cakes and ice-cream. It's there so I eat it.
