It’s hard to believe that it is June.

Slow here?! Did you all go to a FB group?! Ha
How is everyone? DS used the potty at school 3x Thursday and once at home today. I’m hoping him being in the preschool room will help with it. I didn’t expect him to be on a similar timeline as DD was just because he is a boy. He is talking so much too.

B uses the potty at school but gives us the big no attitude at home so we aren’t pushing it too hard. He’s moving to a new house, getting a twin bed (instead of the crib) and becoming a big brother in the next few months so I figure we would have regression anyway. Also we’re crazy AF trying to buy a new house right now.

We found a lot of issues on the inspection so we sent a request to the sellers for $12k to go to fixing things and are waiting on their reply. We know they are doing something because they want to include their lawnmower as part of the deal, but we are still waiting. The goal is to get $6k+ back because the crawl space has mold and needs a bunch of repair and we at least want them to fix that. I’ve been stress eating for a week 🤦♀️

On the potty training topic; C is fully potty trained. Even nap and night trained. We actively day trained and she just did the night time part herself, almost easier than the day training. We don't actually do any active night training, we just let that develop naturally, but DD1 definitely took a lot longer. C only has a handful of pull ups left in her drawer then we aren't even going to bother buying anymore. I couldn't tell you the last time she woke up wet 🤷🏻♀️

Good luck with the house rooskie! I hope the sellers are willing to work with you, especially since there’s mold.

That’s awesome that your little is fully PT’d cnf! C is not showing any signs of readiness, other than hiding while he poops in his diaper. We’ve tried putting him on the potty a few times and he smiles and giggles but just doesn’t pee.

We are still trying to get DD1 night time trained. She wakes up dry about 50% of the time and we tried a star chart if she did a week straight, but unfortunately it wasn’t consecutive and she is confused why she has more than 7 stars but can’t wear underwear to bed yet.

I’m really hoping the teachers are encouraging it and seeing peers helps.

Fuck this morning the president of my company sent an email that they want to start reopening our office and my manager wants an in person team meeting tomorrow. I’m really dreading starting to work in an office building again. I’m really nervous.

Are the cases in your area going up still?

Ds2 has his 2.5 y/o visit last week. He’s growing great but I did ask for a birth to 3 referral for speech. He has a million words but he’s pretty hard to understand. Thankfully the almost 6 y/o can understand and translate for us!

There were another 200 positive tests in my county today, but no deaths...

I was really hoping my second one would be easier than the first to potty train. Sigh.
At least sleep is good? We just transitioned her to a toddler bed, and she sleep in it without any issue. She tried to get up once when we left the room, but I saw it on the monitor and told her to go back to bed. She did, and she went down for her nap. lol.

They pee right before bed, sleep through the night, then often don't go to the bathroom in the morning until they've already been up for hours. It boggles my mind.

My C was excited about the dentist and loves brushing her teeth... but balked when we got in there. She clung to me so hard lol. She didn't want to open her mouth for them to count. But she got through it, and was fine after.

He did great, other than shitting in his diaper near the end and stinking up the room.

Does A sleep with a pull-up or nighttime diaper still? Ds1 would saturate his every night, so we thought he’d never be night trained. We kept waiting for him to wake up dry and it never happened. One night we decided to just try going without it and he went all night with no accidents. It was like he subconsciously knew he could just pee since he had a pull up on, and once it was gone, he did fine without it.

Are you feeling better about going back to the office? They seemed receptive, but after talking with one other concerned coworker after who knows more about the other office, it sounds like even though they say the right wear your mask if within 6’ of others, many including higher management don’t. I know my direct manager has significantly doubted covid numbers and accidentally sent me the article about our county removing the mask mandate, so I’m skeptical that he will enforce it. We agreed we would try to keep windows open for natural ventilation instead of AC (though summer will make that hard). I might move cubical to give me more distance since technically it’s just under 6’ where I currently am. They are letting us transition 2d/wk initially, but yesterday the email came out that our office will need to be FT in the office starting July 13. I don’t love it at all.

We have tried just undies and she still pees the bed. She knows she is supposed to try to hold it and she understands, she just sleeps through. We tried nighttime wakeups for a bit, but it didn't seem to help, and just woke everyone up. We are giving it a bit more time, the pediatrician doesn't start to work through it until at least 7, I think. Apparently H, and prior to him, FIL, both peed the bed for a long time as well.

I’m here. Nothing special happening. We aren’t doing anything about potty training here. One thing I learned with N was to wait until he was ready. N day and night trained in one day. I’m not pushing E until I really think he is ready. He likes to pretend he’s peeing but that’s about it. Good luck with the house rooskie. We just refinanced our house. We knocked 3 years of payments and 2% interest from what we were paying. The interest rates are great right now.
