onyx wow that is really important!!! I donβt know too much about it just that it can make pregnancy very difficult. I hope you can work with your doctor and come up with a great path forward. I had never heard of it until they told me they were testing me for it. Iβm thankful to have an answer though. I know other posters here have definitely had it if you want to ask. Theyβve talked about it on the GD board.

CD4 over here and had a pretty productive appointment today. I have a huge 5 cm leftover cyst, so no treatment this month while we wait for it to resolve. So boo.
But this doctor was new to me and typically works at another location. He was really thorough since weβve never met.. Went over my history and we talked about my meds. He likes the Metformin for me and the COQ10. He thinks I did have an implantation last month that didnβt stick, which might explain the huge cyst. He also thinks we up my meds next cycle and see what happens. So we just wait for my next period and go from there. Hopefully I O on my own this month.

Oh and also that was the worst PMS cramping and CD1 that Iβve had in a long time. Supports the βpregnant for one secondβ theory. I spent Monday night curled up in the bed bc my cramps were so bad.

How is it that the body's reaction is so much more? I was the same, it felt like actual early labor contractions rather than cramps.

How is it that the body's reaction is so much more? I was the same, it felt like actual early labor contractions rather than cramps. I know, isnβt it crazy? Doctor said that literally the second the embryo starts to implant, your hormones start to change and send signals to other parts of your body. Thatβs why he thinks I have that enormous cyst. He thinks the ovaries got the signal that I was pregnant, so they started doing their thing. And then the uterus got the pregnancy signal, then the failed implantation signal, and started cramping to expel the tissues. Our bodies really are amazing.

So do they usually monitor cysts? Or only in special cases? My ultrasound tech said she measured 3 cysts, but my dr said no word of them.

catlady22 I love reproductive medicine, so excuse my tangent. Cysts arenβt necessarily bad. Itβs just a fluid filled sac. Every follicle in your ovary is a βcystβ with an egg inside. Itβs really the size and what CD that determine if itβs normal/ok or not. Itβs not uncommon at all and I wouldnβt necessarily be concerned. Because Iβm seeing an RE and doing monitored fertility cycles, I have to have a baseline ultrasound on CD3-5 to confirm itβs safe for meds. Depending on cyst size and if they are producing estrogen, it can interfere with egg production.

hey guys. i just wanted to update you since youβve been there for me this whole time.
my pregnancy was molar. i havenβt gotten the pathology results yet to see if it was malignant. i hope to get those soon. but for now i have to get HCG tests once a week for the next 6 months. if it starts to rise (anything above 5) then iβll have to undergo chemotherapy.
thereβs only a 20% chance of it being malignant or my HCG rising. i donβt want to call it cancer, but it is. 20% is also way too high of a number because thereβs only a 20% chance of miscarriage and iβve had 4. only a .001% chance of a molar and i had one of those too. percentages are not on my side here!!!
iβm trying not to spiral but jesus what the fuck. if all goes right and thereβs no HCG rise and no cancer, i will be able to TTC again after 1 year from the day my HCG gets back down to 0. βΉοΈ

@zweber that is awful. I am so sorry your TTC journey has been such a difficult and traumatic experience. I really hope your doctors are taking good care of you and you are treated the way you deserve. Youβll be in my thoughts and I hope you have an uneventful recovery.

Hope it's ok if I jump in. I haven't been here for a while but used to be very active on this board...probably because I was here for so long. I have a 6.5 year old daughter and a 1 year old daughter. In between I had 2 hard losses...the first at 12 weeks after taking 8 cycles to conceive (I hemorrhaged and almost bled out) and the second at 10 weeks after taking 9 cycles to conceive (my doctor was amazing though and got me a D&C the day after the US). My rainbow was conceived the first cycle after my second D&C. SO decided he wants to try for one more. I'm 41 already but I told him I'm willing to try one more time. I might be crazy but here we are. CD5. I just pulled out my thermometer and ordered a bunch of tests and OPKs. SO isn't living with us right now due to work/COVID etc so TTC is going to be interesting.

Oh @zweber this is so wonderful to hear!!! (The not molar part).
Iβm sorry for all the stress and anxiety and sadness this pregnancy has given you. I hope you can move on from and stay far far away from This drs office. I know youβre moving soon back to the mainland, I hope you get in with the other drs office in HI or you find a kickass dr in your new place and you get your sticky baby. πππ

Whatβs your plan/next steps? sooooooo we paid out of pocket and saw a naturopath fertility specialist (yβall i donβt know what that means i just went okay?) she was fucking dope. she prescribed me enough progesterone for 6 months of TTC. gave mh a daily multivitamin, gave me some different kinda folic acid, told me to take iron pills for my anemia, and also a prenatal. but we are gonna wait 2-3 cycles before trying again because holy shit you guys iβm so tired of being pregnant. iβve been knocked up 6 months out of 2020. my current OB promised me iβd get an REI work up after this pregnancy was resolved. i even got it in writing. but i motherfuckin promise you that will ππΎ never ππΎ happen. this place is so fucked.

Is this a weird time to intro? I'm gonna try to start posting here. (It would be helpful if Tapatalk would give me notifications for the boards I follow π.) I have a 2yo son and we're ready to try for another. I got my IUD out last week and today is like CD4. I've had my cheapie thermometer out for a while but having a hard time taking enough temps for a chart. A new one that saves more than one temp might be a good idea. I think we'll try to avoid for this month yet so there's no possibility of a due date near DS's birthday. Hi everyone, glad to see a few familiar faces. But of course hopefully we're not here long . ETA I've been a mostly lurker and sporadic poster since TB days, mostly posted on my BMB and GKU or whatever it was called on TCF.

CD16 and remembering why I pay a doctor to medicate me. I have no clue whatβs going on with my cycle. No positive OPKs yet and I have little faith.
