My first two girls are Caroline and Ophelia. Our last name rhymes with Trier.
We're having trouble 'matching' with our first two, or finding any we love this time. Baby is a girl.
On the list is: Maisie Penelope Hattie Myra Margot
But I'm not sold on any of them. Any suggestions?

I'll play! Our son is Caleb and our last name rhymes with Burton
For a girl it's either Sophia Grace or Addison Grace.
And we're all over the place for a boy. Don't really have any favorites. We want it to match DS's name - 2 syllables first name and 1 syllable middle name. I'm open for suggestions!

DS is Finn. We want to keep the same naming convention for a boy or a girl (single syllable ending with double N)
For a boy, we picked Glenn
For a girl it would either be Rynn or Wrenn. I'm partial to Wrenn but H likes Rynn more.

We are good if we have a girl but screwed if it’s a boy. The men in H’s family all have Br first names. And most are taken. H is Brad and DS is Brendan. Middle name for boy is Douglas. So far we have Bryant Douglas or Bronson Douglas.

Speedy , my vote is for Wrenn! Fern popped in my head too, but not sure about the double 'nn' on that one. Also Lynn , probably because it's my middle name. I also thought of Brynn and Quinn. I realize you didn't ask for more suggestion but you get my stream of consciousness right now lol. ponygirl , for some reason reading yours Dylan immediately came to mind. Also I love Sophia Grace! My husband threw out Poppy tonight to add to our list. I don't hate it.

Kind of in line with your names there.

Well we're having a boy, and H has had a boy name he's been dead set on since before we were ever even together. So Troy David it is. He would have been open to me having suggestions if I totally hated it, but I'm very meh on boy names, so I'm very whatever about it even though it's not something I would have otherwise picked.
DD1 is Eleanor Anna and DD2 is Cora Lillian.

fem Brynn was actually my first thought and what got the conversation going for us. I had a friend who had a dog named Brynn so that's why it was on my radar. My bffs son is Quinn so that's off the table lol (I asked her before DS was born if it would be weird. That was a funny conversation)

Yeah, our problem with Dottie was all the formal names associated with it. Neither of us like Dorothy, Dolores, or... whatever the third terrible old lady name was. We would have just used Dottie as a stand alone.

He doesn't like them as a stand alone name but also doesn't like the formal names of Harriet, Millicent, etc.

I also liked Beatrice but blew that because Ophelia's full name is Ophelia Bea. I don't think we could have 'Bea' twice.

cnf, does your husband have meaning behind Troy David or just something he's always liked?

cnf, does your husband have meaning behind Troy David or just something he's always liked? David is his father's name. A little back story; H and I met at summer camp like a billion years ago and worked there together as coworkers for a number of years before we started dating. Our camp had an integration program with a local residential school for emotionally disturbed youth. My husband had one of the kids from this school placed in his group one summer and he was the first counselor this kid ever connected with. My husband was able to get him involved in camp, make friends, and cut back on some of his more aggressive and explosive behaviors. They were just two peas in a pod. And I know my husband attributes a lot of his personal growth as a young 20something year old to that experience. That kid's name was Troy and it's just something that's always been a meaningful experience for H that he wants to keep close to his heart. ETA my avatar is me helping DD1 learn to walk down a dock over the lake at said camp.

She asked me how she got her name (some kids had great stories) and I had to tell her it was just one we picked out and liked.

We both like Nell, but is it too weak/short to go with Caroline and Ophelia for a sibset?
Any middle name suggestions with it?

Our top runner right now (since my husband finally voiced an opinion) is Penelope with both Penny and Nell as options for nicknames. We'll see if it lasts.
