How are those babes?? My lil guy is 7 months and is rocking back and forth on all fours... I'm so not ready 😩 his army crawl game is on point. He's a pretty happy smiley baby! We're pretty lazy with food so he has only tried a handful of things but so far so good. We're heading south for spring break later this week and I can't wait!
What's new with you guys?

T is 8.5 months and getting into everything. He is crawling and pulling up so we've been baby-proofing. He loooooves the roomba and will go turn it on if given the window of opportunity. Food has been slow for us too for medical reasons but he loves it. His 9 month visit is in a couple weeks and I can't wait to see how much he has grown.

We are doing well over here too. A is 7 months. She isn’t crawling yet but can roll, scoot, and army crawl her way to where she wants to go. She’s loving solids - feeding her new things is one of my favorite things to do! We are dealing with some eczema.. trying to figure out triggers, switch to sensitive skin detergent, soap, everything. Watching closely for food allergies since sometimes those go hand in hand with eczema. She is such a happy thing and always smiling!

friendofdobby oh, she's adorable. And that hair!! Eczema is so tricky, I hope you can figure out triggers and treatment soon.

D is 7 mo old today! He’s sitting independently now but nothing on the movement front besides rolling. We have worked out way through most purées. He didn’t like them at first but now is eating a lot! We are also dealing w baby eczema on his face. Using eczema lotion 2x a day keeps it manageable. He’s generally a happy guy!

8 months old here! I can’t believe it. He’s crawling and pulling up on everything - I can’t get anything done because I just basically have to follow him around all day. He loves all foods, especially puffs (but his big sisters are vultures and try to steal them!)
I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy!

I never really did purees with my older kids, just a lazy version of BLW, but with quarantine I have time and little man loves getting three meals a day! He is crawling, sitting, and pulling up all over the place. I'm not ready 😭

And oh my gosh robinanne I feel you on the puff vultures thing - I was on Marco Polo with some A14 BMB friends earlier this week and my 2 year old stole the canister and ate them all before I noticed 🤣🤦♀️

What about naps?? How many for your babies? We’re in the weird transition between 2 and 3 naps. Do your babies go down for naps by themselves? I still have to hold him and sing to him for a few minutes until he’s out. Just curious how it’s going for everyone else!

So, MH or I still hold her for every single nap, unless she’s in the stroller or the car napping. She does nap at daycare in the crib but right now she’s home with us full time due to COVID. But she does well with nighttime sleep! I’ve just been lazy with nap training at home honestly. A is a cat-napper so usually it’s 3 naps, sometimes even still 4 naps during the day but they are only about 30 mins each.

I still have to hold him and sing to him for a few minutes until he’s out. Just curious how it’s going for everyone else! We are between 2 and 3 as well. For the most part, he takes a short 30-40 minute nap mid-morning, a 1.5ish hour nap after lunch, and then another 30-40 minute nap in the afternoon. Some days he skips the morning nap and takes a longer lunch time nap. He is pretty good about going down for a nap on his own. I usually just lay him in the crib and close the door. He'll roll around for a bit and then fall asleep.

My son is 9 months old now! I think he'll be the first in our BMB to become a big sibling!

Congrats beenthere! I think we are stopping at 2 robinanne I’m really late on this but we always did 2 naps at 10 & 2. It was too hard to keep 3 consistent naps with big brother’s schedule. Both naps are in the crib for 1.5 - 2 hours. I do hold him for a min but I put him in the crib awake. He’s normally out in 10ish mins.

Is anyone tenatively planning a birthday party for their LO? I'm not sure if I am going to or if I'm going to just wait until closer in case everything is just completely shut down still/again

I make a cake and a smash cake and order pizza 😂

I want to - just with family but with my family that’s a lot of people. I think we’ll play it by ear with COVID and decide closer to August. If we do it, I want to do a Sesame Street theme.

I'm not sure if I am going to or if I'm going to just wait until closer in case everything is just completely shut down still/again I keep going back and forth on this. His birthday is 6 weeks away and so much can change in that time frame. I really want to have a party, but I'm worried that if we plan something we will end up having to cancel. DS1's 7th birthday was a few weeks ago and we did a virtual party with some family. He opened some gifts and everyone sang to him. It was nice, but I don't think it would work that well with a 1 year old lol.
