Emotion regulation/ impulse control

Anyone else struggling with behavior issues? I know they are two and this is developmental because not knowing how to voice frustrations but wow. He's hitting a lot at daycare and kicking/ hitting at home. We do initial time out while trying to talk him through out but damn. My oldest never went through it this bad. Last night he got mad that his brother closed a door he wanted to close and nearly pushed him down the basement stairs hitting so much. Thoughts? Experiences? I read self control doesn't come in until around 3.5. Oy!

We sort of have this issue. He gets very angry and shouts. He has tried to push us a few times but that’s as far as it goes. That and some crying.

I am having this issue with my 4 year old and actually just started play therapy with her, but I see a lot of the same behavior in the 2 year old as well. It's so emotionally draining to deal with.
