What do you use for pore minimizing?
My pores aren't huge but slowly getting more noticeable and I'd like to stave off the inevitable for as long as possible. What do you find helps for daily use?
I'd prefer to avoid makeup that hides them and rather a product that helps prevent or minimize appearance.

clay masks make a temporary difference for me as far as pore minimizing. i've tried the famous pore clearing method but i have never gotten any grits out and i don't think it made a bigger difference vs just a clay mask on its own. i use the super-cheap powdered bentonite clay mixed with apple cider vinegar. some people find that double cleansing helps reduce the appearance of their pores. i haven't noticed a difference from that. others have had success with an AHA-- i.e., a glycolic acid toner such as COSRX whitehead power liquid, pixi glow tonic, or the ordinary glycolic toner. i have the TO one but haven't tried it yet. unfortunately, pores get more noticeable as we age as the skin around them begins to lose elasticity. i have definitely noticed this over the past couple of years. pore size is also genetic so some people just have more visible pores to start with. so basically i'm no help. i've tried a looooooot of stuff over the past year and nothing has been a miracle product so far. oh p.s. i've also been using differin for the past several months and that has not changed the appearance of the pores (sebaceous filaments) on my nose and cheeks at all.

I just started using Paula’s Choice 10% niacinamide serum four days ago. I’m using it for a different reason but have read it’s supposed to help with pore minimizing. It might be worth checking out reviews. I also saw she recently came out with a 20% concentration.
It’s very watery which doesn’t bother me and is unscented. It has significantly reduced the inflammation on my chin where I’m broken out right now. It’s supposed to have other benefits like helping with fine lines too.

I have super large pores made worse by acne. They get clogged easily and look large. I have had a lot of success keeping their appearance smaller, but nothing can get rid of them completely without a laser. Maintains my moisture barrier really helps keep the oil production down which in turns keeps my pores from showing as much.
What works for me: double cleanse morning and night to remove any oil and gunk, daily use of Cosrx BHA to keep pores clear, every other day use of The Ordinary azelaic acid on my cheeks and nose were my texture/pores is the most notable (drying but amazing for smoothing my skin- a little goes a long way), and once a week Neogen biopeeling pads for resurfacing and cell turnover. Plus the other stuff in my daily skin care routine.

Does anyone with super dry/sensitive skin have tips for this? I'm wary of trying some of the traditional methods because I don't want my skin to get angry. Also open to cruelty-free makeup suggestions. I have been using Benefit's but it's meh (and I'm not sure they're fully CF). I would have described my skin as super sensitive before I fixed my moisture barrier. It would get red and flaky. What I needed was lots of thin/watery hydration layers and too avoid anything super creamy. Once I did that, I started with the cosrx BHA just on my nose/cheeks 2x/week. Eventually, I was able to go up to daily since it’s pretty mild as far as acids go. The concept of 7 skin really works for me. I like variety, so I usually do 2 layers of a couple of different products. I highly recommend Earth’s Recipe Energy Boosting Toner as the best foundation to hydrating skin.
