Oh man, I’m so sorry you all have the flu, how horrible! Are you on the tail end or just started? Of course taking care of two kids you can’t even rest. I hope you all feel better soon. M used to be my great eater and the 5 yo was the PITA but that’s all shifted and now she eats great and M doesn’t. Woof, kids man. We are in the middle of it I guess. I’ve been sick for a week exactly and I went to urgent care today very sure I had a sinus infection. I don’t? But the pressure in my head in all the nerve areas makes it painful to bend over. Like what is this ? C has the flu and pneumonia. M is very screamy that everything hurts. I’m canceling everything at work this week when I get started from home tomorrow and not sending the kids to daycare. We need a recovery week , we aren’t even recovering yet This winter is awful I hope things get better soon.

I hope this week home can get you all on the mend soon. I know I’m localish to you, is there anything you need? Even like a meal gift card or amazon anything? Let me know if you do 💕 I know this is next level but we have basically pulled D1 from preschool after that last wave of sickness and I’m thankful we can do that since MH and I can with our schedules and it’s been so nice to have both kids healthy for a few weeks. Of course I’ve been sick lol can’t win them all. @starzia, I'm quoting myself in case you do need something. How are you all feeling today? I hope better! 🤞

I am home today with a sick baby. .y one yearold got hit hard. J is a mess but no fever. And DH and I are both sick. Last night we only got 2 hours of sleep because the baby just couldn't sleep, then J and then my 3 yearold both got up. I am so tired of this winter. And to top it off she has been taking a bunch of short naps today but nothing long enough for me to do anything or even nap.

My kids are finally healthy and I’ve been sick with some weird dry cough. Ugh, over it 👎 Hope you all feel better

A was knocked down by some virus for 4 days. No other real symptoms but a high fever and suuuuper lethargic. Like he’d nap for 5 hours every day and then sleep 12 at night. Thank goodness that’s over. I was going stir crazy at home and I just don’t do well with a sick kid. My anxiety apparently likes to ramp up. 🙄 Man that’s weird but my kids also had some weird crazy high fever virus with no real cold symptoms like in early January. I was not as blessed to get all that sleep from them though 😂 Glad to hear he is feeling better.

Has anyone NOT potty trained yet? I’m considering waiting until April after our move and our trip to Mexico. He’s not really super interested anyways yet, but I also am nervous about waiting too long. I havent. J will pee before bath but no interest otherwise. Im not potty training until summer when im off. I figure he willbe trained by 3 and thats good enough for me.

That’s my goal too, at least before 3. A also will pee in the potty before bath. Do you have a plan of action when you start? I was wondering if the 3 day method would work. Im not sure if i will do the 3 day method or if we will just try to sit every hour. I feel like dh will freak if i let J run around naked peeing everywhere lol

We’re not being crazy about potty training but we are encouraging it and trying to get him to wear undies occasionally. I’m very 🤷🏻♀️ About it because he is so different with our nanny vs us- he will use the potty all day with her and with me he pissed through three pairs of underwear in two hours even with potty breaks.

I am losing my mind with this kid. He is OBSESSED with his penis. As in he took his diaper and pants off the other day during nap time and just pissed everywhere on his bed. Last night he woke up bc he was wet and DH said his diaper was barely wet- which means he took his penis out of his diaper to play while he was going to bed I guess and then ended up falling asleep and peeing everywhere. Like, what?!? What do I do with this? Why is he so obsessed with his penis and how to I stop him from fucking up his diaper placement so he doesn’t wake up motn bc he’s cold and wet?

I’m doing nothing with PT, she doesn’t seem interested and holds poop so definitely doesn’t seem ready. D1 gave no fucks either and didn’t train till almost 3.5 but once she decided, she was day and night trained all at once within like a few days so it was amazing! @dolly

I just registered L for preschool in the fall. Only 2 mornings a week. But I definitely have to get her potty trained a few months before that. We tried in January and it didn’t go well. I gave up on day 3 bc she got sick, but she didn’t care at all about using the potty. She knew when she needed to, and would walk right past it to go pee on the floor somewhere.

addymac Oh no about his penis obsession! I’d try to do zipper pjs (maybe backwards even) or a onesie so he cant get into his diaper. My son hasn’t been that bad about it- I wish I had more boy mom advice about that!

If we make no progress by June I am doing the extreme training with no diapers and pee pads. He holds it and is doing to get an infection.

Sorry. I'm so behind. @dolly we have not potty trained yet, although we are close to trying. He's gone in the potty a few times, but we wanted to get rid of his binky first before doing any other big transitions.
He did way better getting rid of the binky than I thought. We took it away cold turkey and gave him a small stuffed Thomas ("Tey-Yeh") train which he loves. Just today, we have moved him into a toddler bed in the nursery and put the crib into our room with his sister. I was originally going to put both boys in the same room, but I'm not quite ready to put baby girl in the nursery and I'm worried the boys will wake each up constantly. Baby girl ended her perfect sleeping record, so we are really tired.

I’ve been having trouble with Tapatalk where it keeps restarting me at the top of threads - very frustrating. I deleted the app and then put it back on - it seemed to fix the issue, but now it’s doing the same thing.
I was off last week, because T didn’t have school - I still sent R to daycare, because I would be paying $65 a day anyways. Also, I tried to keep her home Friday, but she then she threw a tantrum about going to “Nikki’s house,” so I took her.
We went to the zoo yesterday, since it was in the 40’s and there was sunshine.
R still has her paci and potty training is at a stand still - there are times she’ll go and other times she refuses.

Had R’s 30 month appointment yesterday. She cried the moment we walked into the room and didn’t stop until the RN left. She was uncooperative with the measurements. The doctor let her leave her clothes on and worked around it.
R is 31 pounds (74th %) and 35.51” tall (40th %). Her head circumference is 49.6 cm (82nd %).

However, all 3 of us woke up feeling like crap today with runny noses and coughs. J went tobed at 815, dh at 830, and i went at 845 last night. I think its going to be a long weekend
