I watched most of the Super Bowl last night. I was kind of hoping for the 49ers because I love Jimmy, but really didn't care either way. I didn't even pay attention to most of the commercials. I LOVED Shakira and thought JLo was ok. I keep hearing about the fact she's 50 but I must be getting old because I thought her performance was just meh.

Hello, all! I have been so bad about checking in here, sorry!
We were rooting for the 49ers. H and MIL are huge fans; my ILs had season tickets up until last year. It was quite a disappointing ending. But I was barely watching anyway, because we went to a friends' party and I was basically just making sure the kids weren't hurting themselves or others for that time, lol. It was fun, though.

We watched the first half at my inlaws and then left at halftime to get B to sleep on time. I'm kind of glad because my 91y/o FIL does not have a filter and would have been making all kinds of comments. I might go on youtube later and see if I can find the halftime to watch it without the peanut gallery.

We were rooting 49ers because H is a fan. I couldn't really care less, just happy to not have another Tom Brady bowl. That man is insufferable.
I only caught the back half of the half time show because I was putting the girls to bed. I don't care enough to go back and rewatch it.

I watched a self created Finding Your Roots marathon on my phone while H watched the game. If I cared enough, Chiefs would have been who I rooted for, home state and all.
I’ve been working on my paternal family tree since 2002 and more actively again in the past year. The church records for the area I’m searching were recently released. So now I have records from 1700-1851 to search, which is amazing. Anyway, there are so many twins. Most recently I’ve been transcribing records from 1812-1815 and pay attention to the twin names. I’ve seen 3 sets of Adam & Eva twins.

I was half paying attention to the Super Bowl and I was rooting for the Chiefs so yay! I enjoyed the halftime show and I do have a soft spot for Shakira so I really enjoyed her performance. Admittedly I missed most of J Lo because H needed help with something, so I can't speak too much about hers. I did see the pole stuff though.

Work here is kind of stressful. We have a lot of changes coming up due to some government things happening recently and also I have an interview for a promotion within a different department that I'm not sure about so I am basically a ball of nerves and uncertainty. Fun.
Also, L continues to love screaming loudly whenever he doesn't get his way or I don't understand what he wants so that's nice.

We don't have an issue with twins but it's awesome to see where we are from and the branches off the tree. We even discovered a castle that used to be in our family in France.

Hopefully things calm down some and you get some stress relief. E does the double stomp, run in place thing when he is mad. It's adorable but grating at the same time. Both of my boys are SO LOUD.

Ds2 is starting to use his words more but still, the temper tantrums are intense! DS1 was not like this at all so I’m in uncharted waters lol.
I’m taking them both to the dentist tomorrow (ds2’s first time) and I anticipate it not going great for ds2. Hopefully he’ll watch big bro do a good job and it won’t be an issue.

We had a sitter last night so that H and I could go to a trivia night, and I got a text from her saying "DD2 is throwing herself on the floor and trying to hit me because I told her it was bedtime." I was like yeaahhhh we are working on that, she is really... finding her voice? She has severe FOMO and does not like bedtime, lol. This sitter has been with us since DD1 was around that age, but DD1 was not that intense, if I recall correctly. Very possible I have just blocked it out, though, haha.

C is also very... assertive about what he wants. Lol. We are working on being firm and trying to ignore the tantrums or redirect.
I need to set up another birth to 3 eval. They wanted us to follow up in 3 months from when he turned 2 in November. I really don’t think his speech has gotten much better.

Ds2 did amazing at the dentist! He does not sit still for me to brush but was a little angel for them. They did point out that he has very crowded teeth and deep pits so I foresee a lot of orthodontic work in our future ☹️

Maybe when he gets his adult teeth they'll be magically better 😊 I embarrassingly haven't taken DD yet. I had to cancel the appointment I had booked for her and never rebooked!

We’ve been stuck in the Spectrum internet/cable outage the last two days. Today we just had internet until about 5:00.
I had snow days for Thursday and Friday. The weather really sucked here so I was glad to be off. N was off too which meant E was off and holy crap. 2 snowed in kids. They do not do well being housebound.

A tried to tell me a knock-knock joke this morning. When I said who’s there, he couldn’t stop giggling. It was the cutest. Our day has now taken a turn not 3 hours later. It started because I was taking the dry clothes out of the dryer and he wanted them to stay in. So he is currently on the think about it step, screaming and saying feigning hurt to get my attention.
RE dentist. Ours won’t see them until they are 3, but I will have A sit on my lap at the end of my next appointment.

Hi all! It's been quite awhile. Every time I think of checking in I get sidetracked. I saw cnf 's pregnancy announcement today and wanted to come and see how everyone was doing and say congratulations. H has been a total sour patch kid lately but I guess that comes with the territory of being 2. We've had quite the winter: pneumonia for me, sinus infection for MH, me sick again, then a virus for H that took us all down (me, MH, MIL, and both my parents lol). We are finally on the upswing from that last one. I'm going to try and read through and catch up the best I can.

I told MH he better have made sure to tell them that I take care of all the oral hygiene. I don't want him getting credit for my hard work lol.

Hi, all. This weekend feels like it never happened, it went by so quickly. We had DD1's 6th bday party At Chuck E. Cheese, which I highly recommend. It was awesome. That same day, we had another of her friend's bday parties, and then Sunday we had ANOTHER. That plus getting ready for our mountain trip next weekend, and doing all the regular weekend stuff like laundry, and I am so exhausted. At least I am only working 3 days this week.
I volunteered for DD1's field trip on Thursday, but she forgot to hand the teacher my TB test paperwork when it was due Friday, so it is up in the air whether or not I will be actually going. Confession: I wouldn't be all that sad if I didn't get to go, because then I would have a morning to myself before we go to the mountains, lol.

Good morning, last night went smooth because dinner was already made. Please spam me with any recipes you use that reheat well as I foresee more traditional meal prep in my future.

We went to the Great Wolf Lodge last weekend. It was so much fun. C wore a puddle jumper and paddled around any pool we would put him in. He wasn’t a huge fan of the toddler water stuff, except for the little slides. He was so happy to swim with his big brother and cousins. We had him in swimming lessons about a year ago and we are definitely signing him up again for the next session.
