I know this board is slow but I thought I would start a check-in to see how everyone is doing with baby. Hopefully everyone is getting into a groove with adding another child to the mix!

How old is baby: 3 months yesterday! Appointments: She has a 4 month appointment at the end of February with more shots! Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: I need to really buckle down and lose some weight. I've lost some but need to actually put some effort in now. Milestones: S started full time daycare this week. She started 1/2 days back on January 2. All the pics that they post throughout the day she isn't smiling which makes me sad. Rants: DH is useless at night so I am doing the middle of the night feeding. Luckily it's just one but I have a hard time going back to sleep so I'm usually up for at least an hour or two. It's not like she needs to really eat at night for weight gain. She is off the chart for height and weight. Raves: My two older girls are so good with her. I was a little worried about my newly 2 year old but she is gentle and wants to help as much as possible. Questions for the group/Other stuff you want to talk about?: We moved into our new house over Thanksgiving and are mostly unpacked but are just now starting to put things on the walls so it's starting to feel more like a home. Picture if you're up to it?

How old is baby: 14 weeks/3 months
Appointments: 4 month well check at the end of Feb. Also her monthly cardiologist appt is at the end of Feb too.
Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: physically I feel back to normal. My weight loss has plateaued (mostly my own fault because I havent been working out or eating great lately) and I have the dreaded CS pooch still. I really need to suck it up and start being healthier again.
Milestones: Smiles galore, she is such a happy baby most of the time. Shes so close to giggling, I cant wait for that to start. She has amazing neck control already.
Rants: My H is also useless at night, but he was the same when our son was little. I still get irritated in the middle of the night sometimes.
Raves: Zs heart arrhythmia has continued to stay in check with her medication! ❤ At her last visit, both her cardiologists said shes responded amazingly well and they are hopeful she'll outgrow it someday. Obviously they cant promise that, but it was so reassuring to hear how pleased they are with her so far. She has monthly visits for now, unless something changes.

run4fun, she's adorable! I also have the CS pooch and am halfheartedly trying to lose weight. I started WW again at the beginning of January and while I haven't gained any weight, I also haven't lost much. I blame it on work stress. I really need to buckle down soon though.

Thank you sarahh!! Your little one is so cute too! I cant believe its been 3 months already! I really want to get back into running, I've just been lacking the motivation. Mostly due to feeling exhausted most days. I signed up for a half marathon in the fall, so eventually I need to get back into it so I'm not completely put of shape when I need to start my training for it. But I'm going to need to add something else in too for this pooch thing.

How old is baby: Holly just turned 2 months! Appointments: Had her 2 month appointment and things are good, plus she handled the shots quite well. Next one at 4 months. Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: Things are finally feeling better- my pubic bone finally doesn’t hurt after walking a lot! Other than that, I also have weight I want to lose but it seems like breastfeeding makes that impossible. Milestones: We’re getting real smiles and it’s the best! Rants: Lately she only wants to be held and screams when I put her down. It’s especially great when trying to get the older kids to bed (which I’ve been handling solo since MH has been working super late) 😖. I’m wondering if it’s because she’s wanting to cluster feed? Raves: I don’t want to jinx it, but she’s been sleeping pretty well at night. And the big kids are amazing with her, which makes me happy. Questions for the group/Other stuff you want to talk about?: Are y’all breastfeeding and trying to lose weight? I can’t seem to get anywhere and I’m so hungry all the time, but don’t want to impact my supply too much. Picture if you're up to it? I have no idea how to add a pic. Let’s see...

sundog holly is beautiful!! I am exclusively pumping (zara never really took to BFing after her NICU stay) but the always starving thing still applies. Its certainly not helping the weight loss. I'm still about 15-20 above my pre-pregnancy weight. I did gain 40lbs during pregnancy though, so I'm not terribly concerned about the stuff I still have to lose because it'll get there. I really want my stomach area back to how it was before (or close to it!), I never had abs but the pooch thing has me feeling super self conscious. I was back in my jeans at 3 weeks with my son, and this time around I still cant button some of them at 14 weeks PP.

run4fun thank you! Your little Z is so cute too! I’m also up about 20 lbs from where I was before I got pregnant and most seems to be in my midsection. I’m trying to exercise every day but it’s been hard trying to fit it in with everything else that needs to be done. And why the heck does it feel like laundry has increased exponentially?! We only added one tiny person!

sundog zomg yes! What is with the laundry!?!? I have always held on to 15 pounds while bf. It's frustrating but I don't think there's anything to be done about it. I think if you are hungry, eat! I'm doing my best to make healthy choices when I am snacking, but, for me, I know there's no point in starving myself because the weight won't come off anyway. I wore real jeans one day back around Christmas and between how tight they were plus the pressure on my CS scar, I tossed them back in the closet. I'm living in leggings for now.

How old is baby: 11 weeks, I think
Appointments: not til the middle of March
Symptoms/How's PP recovery?: fine, just a bit of lingering tenderness. See above for weight loss
Milestones: he's rolling front to back, cooing, and smiling. I can tell he's really working on getting control of his hands.
Rants: I'd really love it if he'd let me put him down when he's awake. Swing, dock a tot, sit me up seat, kick and play piano, and a blanket on the floor are all unacceptable.
Raves:
Questions for the group/Other stuff you want to talk about?:
Any suggestions for getting him to let me put him down?
We are listing our house on Friday so I really need to be able to get stuff done. He is about 50/50 on tolerating a carrier but a lot of the things I need to do are hard while babywearing.
But our new house should be done in a month-six weeks!
