Dramaphile , did you see E&M's new kid pattern? The Duke jacket? I want to make the boys one with softshell outer and a flannel inner as a rain coat! It's so cute! I'll probably wait till my little dude is bigger, he's got enough jackets for the moment, but it would probably be good for next Fall

Added a new sewing skill to my knowledge bank. Zipper pockets! It's definitely taken me a beat to figure it out but it's done and I love it. Now to finish the rest of the jacket!

bobyn , is the thing you have it on for measuring the blanket out? It's for blocking and drying, but can be used for measuring as well.

The pattern is officially live so I can show my finished product. I think I need to go down a size and find a lighter zipper but I'm happy with it, mostly. Also, this pic was taken while I felt like death but needed to get a final pic. Please ignore basically my whole face.

How difficult was it? I've not done a full zip yet and I'm a little scared, but I could really use a new hoodie.

My first go at a separating zipper and it took me 3 tries. First oops was my own stupidity of too much of a seam allowance. Second oops was the fabric stretched on me. The tutorial is very easy to follow. I had one spot that confused me at first but once I actually read it and quit trying to get ahead of the tutorial then it all clicked and made sense. The zipper pocket was actually really easy even though that's what scared me the most when I started.

I'm like oh I know how to do a hood. Well this one is different and I screwed it up and had to make a new hood. Oops.

rainbowsockmonkey, that is gorgeous!! And where did you find those ball ends for your needles? I need something like that and I've seen them being used by a few people, but never ask.

Just finished this! Going to frame it and put it next to my makeup table to look at in the morning before work (I think it will help when dealing with difficult coworkers 😁).

I finally got rid of my Christmas pillow cases for the couch pillows today 🤣 I found this fabric at hobby lobby (online) and my mom was at one the other day so I had her look and they had it. I only had her get 2 yards....I should have gone for 3 or 4. I have thought of a few other projects already but I'm all out. Hopefully our HL has this print too.

Weve been ripping out carpet in our basement laundry room. Whoever put it down used ALL the glue, so its been a pain. Im currently scraping it off.

Paint cans are because it's a little windy, although I'll probably move them around to help flatten it as it gets warmer.

I iron on mine all the time because I'm a rebel like that. 🤣 I also don't pin and kinda wing it on seam allowances. 🤷♀️
