Anyone ring in the new year with new projects? Anyone planning on learning a new craft in 2020?
I have whatever head cold crap seems to be going around here so I did a whole lot of nothing today but I have a handful of cricut projects to be working on the next few days.

I'm really missing having my own house/space. I need to make some nursing pads but I passed that project onto my mom since everything I own is packed away and buying stuff doesn't make much sense. I would also love to start a quilt for the baby but I will have to wait.

One of my goals this year is to do one crafty thing a week. Whether that is a project from start to finish in one day or over a few days. I work a 45 hour a week job plus a part-time job that I do about 20 hours a month. So I'm trying to make me and my anxiety/stress a priority.
Crafting has always helped so I'm trying to make it a to do list item. That way I don't put it on the back burner.
I have a sewing machine and have only made quilts with it. A Circuit and would like to expand what I've done on that. I cross stich but haven't in a long time.

I finished 1 hat yesterday and started the second one. I also got 3 out of 5 skeins of yarn balled for a sweater I'm going to crochet. Im also making a second epipen pouch to have here at home, and make a little zipper pouch the "Knott's please" embroidered on it to hold my snaller knitting supplies.

When I'm stressed the fuck out, H either tells me to go to the gym or the basement (my sewing dungeon) because he knows sewing and sweating are 2 ways I cope with stress.

I’ve recently gotten into needlepoint and cross stitch. It’s been really nice to create cute little projects in not a ton of time. Now that I have the basic supplies it’s pretty cheap as well. Next goal is to learn some of the fancier knots and stitches! Made my sister her Christmas present this year (nursery decor for her new baby)

I have sewist's block! I have a bunch of fabric I bought and new patterns and I can't quite pull the trigger on what I want to make. I want to sew something for myself since I've been doing a lot of sewing for my daughter recently. Currently debating on either a raglan sweater/shirt or a wrap-style shirt. My goal this year is to actually use most of the patterns I have been hoarding and to sew more clothes for myself.

I'm currently knitting a hat for a friend. It hit me that I haven't made anything for myself in a very long time.
Next, I'd like to learn to knit socks. FOR MYSELF. And I found an easy(-ish) sweater that I'd like to attempt!

This is the sweater I'd like to try: www.twoofwands.com/blog/autumn-league-pulloverI haven't found a sock pattern I really love yet, but I'm considering starting very basic. I'm not even comfortable with color work, so it might just be one solid yarn...

bobyn Color work also scares me. Thanks! That sweater looks simple enough that I could do it.

Got past my block and finished a project! I took a Star Wars t shirt I got from a mystery box and hacked a raglan (Ellie and Mac Going Home Sweater) pattern to put on new sleeves and a neckband. The sleeve fabric has blue and red light sabers and Jedi/Sith symbols on it. I’m really happy with the result and glad I bit the bullet and finally did it. I think next up is either a dolman top or a crossover top.

A friend of mine went out of town for a few days and ibwatch her kids while her dh worked. She brought me back this as a thank you. Now I'm trying to decided on a hat pattern to use.

Then I want to figure out my next project for me. I have a bunch of pretty fabric (and I just ordered some more...) and I'm scared to cut into it!

Finished the hat and thankfully had enough yarn to make two headbands for her daughters. They turned out so well, even though I twisted some of the cables. Lesson learned!

I'm hoping if I have enough left over to make a sports bra too. Originally I wanted to do workout leggings and a bra but I'm just not feeling like making leggings, even though I desperately need some.

Dramaphile, I love E&M patterns, btw. She has such clear directions and easy to follow. I'm trying to not look at the pretty custom fabrics because I really need to sew up the stuff in my basement first. My 2020 goal is to try to either sell off or sew up all of my stash of stuff in the basement so that I can buy new pretties and not feel bad. 🤣

Definitely something for my toddler! I am amassing way too much fabric and also need to be good and not buy anything else till I've gotten a chunk used up. Projects I want/need to make in the next couple of months: E&M Everywhere dress for my BFF's daughter wrap top/dress for me more undies performance leggings and bra

I think I have the power bra pattern to use for a bra. I need to do the 2 new zip up hoodies (fit test and final project) for the pattern I'm testing for Sinclair this week. Then I have 2 PAB altitudes to make (one for each boy) and I'm wanting to do a couple of practice runs on New Horizons Summit Peak for H and I. One thing I hate about new patterns is doing them twice to make sure the fit is right before I cut the good stuff. But I've been trying to expand out from just PAB and E&M

Although I might just do some P4P Pegs with a contour waist band.

I have some fabric I love but didn't know what to do with it and I decided green tee. I have some bamboo lyrica coming Wednesday that I want to make a tunic with. Unsure of what pattern yet.

Dramaphile, did you see E&M's new kid pattern? The Duke jacket? I want to make the boys one with softshell outer and a flannel inner as a rain coat!
