We're shopping for a minivan now which has me thinking about car seats and strollers. These girls (at #3 and 4) are our last, so I don't want to spend a ton on infant seats. My older two were moved to convertibles at 7 months. I plan to wear the twins once they get a little bigger, so am I right thinking I want two infant seats and a frame double stroller for the first few months? I already have two double strollers for once they are more stable. What seats/arrangements worked for y'all?

Congratulations! Mine are 8 weeks. I have no others to wrangle but here's my two cents. We have two infant seats and a Joovy Twin Roo+. It's one of the "cheaper" twin-specific items (~$130) out there and totally worth the money. Car seats snap in and we go. I've also worn one and put the other in a car seat in a shopping cart, but I like the versatility of the stroller. I haven't tandem wrapped them, but have a Twin Weego. It's not as comfy as an SSC, but does it's job around the house.

My twins are 2, we started with the Joovy Twin Roo+ and it was great, but we ended up getting the City Select when they were about 6 M because it was on sale and we still needed a stroller for when they were out of bucket seats. Hindsight being what it is, I wish I would've gotten the City Select from the get go. It's far more versatile given it would've saw us through infant seats straight on to toddlerhood and I would've saved the money we spent on the Joovy (which I wasn't able to resell for even half as much as I thought I'd be able too). It also handles a million times better and I love that you can put the seats in different configurations. (They LOVED facing each other when they were still little enough too)

We are getting the City Select (should arrive today).
I went back and forth between the Joovy frame and then whether to get tandem or side by side. We opted to skip the frame because 1) we live in a neighborhood without sidewalks and plan on going for lots of walks, 2) we likely will have just one coming home from the NICU at first and the city select will allow for single set up, and 3) it will fit easily between two parked cars (side by side won't).
We also are shopping for a mini van since we realized that we would have to take two vehicles if we ever wanted to go anywhere with the twins and our big dog.

I have a City Select with DS1 and I really enjoy it. Handles well and very manageable to get around. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

I loved the joovy (autocorrect to hooch!) twin roo+ with my Chico keyfit 30s. They made getting in and and of the car super easy.
At maybe 9 months we switched to our convertibles and we have:
-Double bob jogging stroller for jogging, long walks, etc. -a cheap double umbrella for the mall or when we need more space in the mini van -2 super cheap umbrellas for when there are 2 adults and we might want to split up
