My fever finally stayed down on Wednesday, so I'm past the worst of it. I'm still feeling pretty sluggish, I'm still coughing and I've had some intense body aches at night, but today was better than yesterday so that's a good sign. Between having gotten their flu shots and getting Tamiflu in time, the kids got through the worst of it much quicker than I did. They're both doing much better too. Thanks for the well wishes and for checking on us! I still cannot believe we all got the damn flu.... ETA - Dramaphile

Has anyone here (that's left 😟) had Lasik? I'm finally getting it done next Friday! I'm so excited but also nervous. I've been waiting to do this until after kids/nursing and now it's finally the time! 😬 🙋🏼♀️ I have! It must have been 8.5 years ago now. I was sooo nervous too and the whole procedure is kinda freaky weird, but it's awesome when you can see afterwards. MH had it done some years before me too.

The Flu is bad this year, I know several people who got it despite flu shots!

Glad you're on the mend tbirdlove. It's crazy how long you can feel worn out from an illness even after you've technically gotten past it. Dramaphile - Someone in another group I'm in was already diagnosed with Flu B. I guess it's early for that one to already be making the rounds. brenna - I haven't, but my cousin had it years ago. She still says it was one of the best decisions she ever made. I'm pretty sure they gave her something for anxiety before the procedure because she was pretty nervous, but I remember her recovery was smooth and pretty quick.

I think C's going through a growth spurt and also getting his top molars (he got the bottom ones in the past couple weeks). He is eating a ton (even more than usual) and has been extra clingy the past few days. Both my kids went to bed early last night, though, and it was glorious. DD passed out on the couch just before I got home at 6 and would not wake up for dinner, so we just put her in bed and she slept till about 4am, climbed in bed with us and fell asleep again till I woke her in the morning. C was super tired and went to bed about an hour early, too.
