Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: 38w4d/mini watermelon/RCS this friday!!
FTM, etc: 3tm
Appointments: preop on Wednesday, RCS scheduled for 12:30 on Friday...hoping it gets moved earlier.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): blue
Milestones: last week of pregnancy! Also, house is 90% ready for baby.
Symptoms: uncomfortable, heartburn, mild swelling
Rants: heartburn sucks. Also, I would like to breathe.
Raves: kids are getting so excited
GTKY: Newborn phase you are most and least excited about?
Horrible sleep. Is there even another answer? Also very nervous about how my oldest is going to handle the change. The transition to kindergarten has been very emotional for him even though he loves his class and his teacher. Not looking forward to giving him more to deal with just a few months after starting K.

Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: 36+5; induction originally scheduled for 11/25, now moved up to 11/13
FTM, etc: 2nd
Appointments: no more appointments they've been canceled now that I'm in the hospital
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones: waiting to hit 37 weeks on Wednesday for the lung development milestone and then we're a go!
Symptoms: tons of BH, Saturday was full of real contractions, and I lost my mucus plug
Rants: sitting around for days on end is really tough and I wish it was easier to sleep but I keep getting interrupted with nurses wanting to adjust the monitor
Raves: I get to meet my baby girl soon!
GTKY: Newborn phase you are most and least excited about? I'm a weirdo and love pretty much everything about the newborn phase. Snuggling a baby 24/7 is the best. Well, I'm not looking forward to the erratic and minimal sleep. I definitely don't like that part. Ha.

elle Do they have you on constant monitoring? When I was admitted with D, I had the belly monitors plus a BP cuff and those blood clot things on my legs and I thought I was going to lose my mind. My OB did give me ambien one night...I didn't like the way it made me feel and the weird dreams, but it did let me sleep.

Yes to the monitors and the socks, though thankfully no bp cuff, they just take it four or so times a day. My bp isn't great, but it's controlled so while they think I'd eventually develop preeclampsia, I'm not there yet. Hoping that holds through when I'm able to deliver. My sister can't come into town until tomorrow afternoon, she's the one who will be watching A while we have the baby, so I just need to hang on for just over 24 more hours.

Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: 36+6, 12/3
FTM, etc: 3rd
Appointments: OB today, still 1 cm. Ultrasound last week put baby at 7 lbs.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink
Milestones: Since my doctor has my due date as 11/27, she said if I go into labor they won’t stop it. Sooooo now we wait.
Symptoms: SPD has been worse, some heartburn, so freaking tired, my boobs have been leaking on overdrive.
Rants: I wish I knew which day this baby will be coming so I can make plans! I’m kind of jealous that y’all have eviction dates set.
Raves: Everything at home is ready for baby finally. The kids are so excited, too- DS says he wants to bake cupcakes and have a party when the baby gets here.
GTKY: Newborn phase you are most and least excited about?
Not looking forward to erratic sleep (but I feel like I’m dealing with that now anyway), excited for snuggles and watching the kids with their little sister.

I am a bit disappointed because I had a hair appointment scheduled for Friday and I was doing maternity pics this weekend since I didn't do them with #1. But oh well, it is what it is.

Hi! I’m finally feeling a bit more normal so I thought I would check in! Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: 2 weeks today! FTM, etc: 3TM Appointments: baby has her 2 week check up tomorrow! Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink Milestones: she got back to birth weight last week and seems to be gaining fine but I guess we will confirm that tomorrow at her appointment Symptoms: n/a Rants: I’m stressed with moving and selling our current house. The buyers are in due diligence right now and are pushing for more $$ off and we don’t have any more room to move so we are in limbo right now. Raves: so far baby is pretty easy other than typical newborn sleep issues at night. We are short staffed at work so I had to help out from home last week and luckily I was able to do everything I needed to do during naps. GTKY: Newborn phase you are most and least excited about? Least - sleep for sure. I pass out between 8-9 each night then lately have been up from 1-4 with her so that’s been fun. I like that newborns aren’t mobile but that’s pretty much it. I prefer when they start smiling and reacting more when I talk to them and also when they can sit up on their own and aren’t as floppy. Since I never posted a pic, here is one from last week! This Thursday are newborn pics so hopefully I have more to share soon! And here are proofs from my older girls’ daycare pics. I’m in love with these

sarahh They are all darling. I am with you...I've said I'd be good with like a week of newborn snuggles and then I'm ready for them to be like 9 months.

And I wrote the question but then never said my favorite part of newborns. I think the portability. I BF my other too and plan to with this one, so eating on the go is easy. They can nap on the go easier than a bigger baby and I don't feel as tied to a nap schedule since they don't really have one yet.

Week/fruit/EDD: 33w / cauliflower/ 12/30 with RCS scheduled 12/23
FTM, etc: second
Appointments: next week
Team blue
Milestones: I finally am starting appointments every two weeks. I had appointments at 28w, 30w, 32w, 34w while pregnant with M but my new OB goes to biweekly after 32w. And I'm down to 17 maximum days left in the office; I hope to work until Dec. 20 but I'll spend a lot of days wfh between now and then.
Symptoms: heartburn, and I am exhausted much faster. I also am having to rethink how I sit on the sofa or my tailbone hurts, and I definitely need to take a back pillow to work for my chair.
Rants: Lol where do I start. The last week has been a nightmare for my mental health and our Thanksgiving celebration with my family has been canceled - maybe a blessing in disguise. No, I did not want to host them anyway. Also, my ankles are jello and I fell coming off the bottom of my stairs the other night. I'm fine and the baby is fine; I twisted my ankle and landed on my rear end, and ouch.
On a lighter note, I still don't know what the heck kind of chair I want for the nursery and this is annoying me.
Raves: Mh had the day off but daycare was open so we took a day date to Ikea, which was fun! We also have lots of fun things planned with friends; we had some people over for bagels yesterday and I have dinner with another friend on Wednesday, a birthday party this weekend, and more!
GTKY: Newborn phase you are most and least excited about?
I am most excited about not being pregnant anymore, does that count? Lol. But I really do like sleep and that won't be so fun.

sundog we move 2 weeks from today. We get the certificate of occupancy the Friday before but movers are scheduled for Monday. Since I had a c-section my doctor doesn’t want me lifting anything more than the baby until 6 weeks so I’m going to be mostly supervising the move. Speaking of c-section, not sure if I mentioned this in my birth story but my OB said my uterus was super thin and she barely had to make a cut so it’s probably good that I went a couple of days earlier than my c-section. She said that while another baby is not out of the question, it could be risky and I wouldn’t be able to go past 38 weeks.

Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: Z is 2.5 weeks old! FTM, etc: STM Appointments: Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Milestones: shes back up to her birth weight! Still a tiny peanut at 6lb4oz. Symptoms: Rants: Baby hasn't figure out the breastfeeding thing yet. I called a LC today to get some advice. Being attached to my pump so often isnt ideal, especially in the middle of the night. I'd love to at least be able to BF for a few feeding a day. Raves: We've been home exactly a week and it's been so nice! We're still working on getting in a new routine, but thankfully my parents are still here for another week. When they leave, getting out the door to get DS to the school will be a struggle 😴 but we'll figure it out! GTKY: Newborn phase you are most and least excited about? I love everything about the newborn phase, except the lack of sleep. I've been enjoying so many snuggles since getting her out of the NICU and coming home.

sarahh My ob said the same thing about my rcs with T. She said she touched me with the scalpel and it just opened up. She's letting me go to 39 weeks this time, but baby is also measuring small. So far, so good.

run4fun Are you using a nipple shield? I hope the ibclc can give you some tips. I am also nervous about getting the two bigs out the door on time in the mornings. I am trying to figure out everything I can to make them self-sufficient. I'm more worried about having time to get myself put together before standing at the bus stop and driving T to school, but I guess if one of us has to not get real clothes in, it's best that it's me.

It's another thing to have to (eventually) wean off, but if it gets her nursing, it's worth it.

Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: almost 36! Appointments: heading in soon, actually Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink Milestones: 1 month left? Symptoms: lots of pain and swelling.... I look like a blowfish lol Rants: I'm gaining more weight with this baby, but I also just don't have it in me to exercise as much as I did previously, so I know some of it is on me. I swear a lot of it is fluid though - you can see it! Raves: We finally got the rest of the furniture picked out and bought. It just needs to get here. GTKY: Newborn phase you are most and least excited about? I love newborns. I'm so excited to not be pregnant anymore. I honestly do the best with little ones and then its like MH hits his stride when they are more able to wreak havoc lol

I gave nursing with the nipple shield a try this morning. She latched and BF for maybe 10 minutes? She definitely got some milk, but I'm not sure how much so I followed it up with a bottle afterwards. But it's a start!
