Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: 37w4d/canary melon/rcs Nov 15
FTM, etc: 3tm
Appointments: Thursday...it's my last one!
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): blue
Milestones: I am excited to be past 37 weeks. It would be most convenient if I can make it a week and a half to my rcs, but I know it would be ok if he came any time now.
Symptoms: feeling huge, heartburn, more and more BH, some heart flutters, swelling feet
Rants: I'd like to breathe again
Raves: H got the changing table built. Now it just needs to be painted and I can finish organizing all the baby stuff.
GTKY: I believe all of us are second+ time moms...what's something you are doing or planning to do differently with this baby than with your first?
I feel like I have bought a lot less stuff this time around (I was starting over completely minus like 3 things). I know what I used and what wasn't worth the money and I also know that they don't need that much at the beginning and we can just buy things as we go.
I am also hoping to get this baby to take pumped milk so I can leave him with my mom for a date night or leave him with my H and do something with mom or the big boys. It was never a necessity with my other two (once D was out of the NICU and growing well) so we never pushed it. I know that I probably won't leave him that much, but I think mentally it will help me not feel so tired down by nursing.

Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: 35+5, induction scheduled for 11/25
FTM, etc: 2nd
Appointments: NST today and Friday, ob tomorrow, last growth scan Thursday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones:
Symptoms: pregsomnia
Rants: I was on my feet a lot on Saturday and my feet slightly swelled up. They went down the next morning but swelled a little at night and are better again this morning. I know this is completely normal at this stage of pregnancy, but the swelling coupled with my blood pressure hovering around not so good levels has me nervous about preeclampsia. No other symptoms though, so fingers crossed I'm just being over anxious.
Raves:

Nothing specific comes to mind, although I'm sure things will be different for lots of reasons, and not just because we're not brand new at this.

FTM, etc: 3rd
Appointments: OB tomorrow, growth ultrasound Weds.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink
Milestones:
Symptoms: lightning crotch, spd, trouble sleeping
Rants: Discovered a lovely rash on my back and it’s not getting any better with OTC creams soooo yay one more thing to talk to my doctor about.
Raves: My mom is coming to visit this weekend, and she also told me she got a one-way ticket at Thanksgiving so she can be here for when baby decides to come. Hear that baby girl? WAIT UNTIL GRANDMA GETS HERE.
GTKY: I believe all of us are second+ time moms...what's something you are doing or planning to do differently with this baby than with your first?
Take more time/do things for me, honestly. I didn’t do that with my first and I think it contributed to the PPD/PPA. We have everything we need for the baby, so I’ve been making it a priority to get things for pampering myself.

Try not to stress about milk production the first few days. It always works out and I need to chill.

Week/fruit/EDD or age of outside baby: Baby Z is 13 days old!
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: She has her first appt with the pediatrician tomorrow.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones: We busted out of the NICU on Monday night after an 11 day stay! Her arrhythmia (the whole reason she was delivered early) showed back up when she turned 1 week old and I'm so glad we we're still in the NICU and they caught it. She was diagnosed with a rarer arrhythmia that will require following with a cardiologist, but for now he said shes stable enough for no medication. We see him again in 2 weeks.
Symptoms:
Rants:
Raves: Shes proving to be an easier baby at this stage than DS was. Though I can probably thank the NICU for that. Shes on a strict eating every 3 hours schedule and will actually let me put her down to sleep at night. We've used the bassinet more times in the last 2 nights than we did the entire time with DS 😂
GTKY: I believe all of us are second+ time moms...what's something you are doing or planning to do differently with this baby than with your first?
Not cosleeping. It worked out last time but was not my intended plan. It was the only way I could put DS down to sleep. Dd lets me put her down to sleep already and i love it!
I breastfed from day 1 with DS, but because of her NICU stay DD is on bottles. Now that we're home, I'm trying to introduce BFing slowly. I'm glued to my pump way more than I was this early on last time. My milk supply is over the top and plenty for her, but I'd love to breastfeed occasionally instead of having to pump after giving her bottle. Its making the middle of the night wake ups twice as long right now having to do both sometimes.
Also because of her NICU stay and her arrhythmia, I really want to buy the owlet monitor. I didnt feel the need for it with DS, but I could use the peace of mind with her at night.

run4fun I am so glad she is home. I hope the cardiologist can get you some answers. The bottle feeding/pumping thing is so hard. I hope she gets the hang of it soon!

sundog thanks for asking! I'm doing good, especially now that were home. Emotionally I was a bit of a mess while she was still in the NICU, but being home has been good for my soul. Physically I feel great, I had my 2 wk check up yesterday and got cleared to drive, I havent taken pain meds since being discharged. Seeing DS with baby Z is so awesome, he is in love with her and so sweet with her.
