Send coffee. Both my guys have a cold/congestion and trouble sleeping. Then when they were asleep, I was up from like 1 am to 3 am because I was anxious/worried about them and their little coughs. (My daughter was in the children's hospital a few times when she was younger for breathing issues, so it was like I was flashing back to that.) I am watching them closely.
I also read a terrible article before bed about a young baby that died because the mom wasn't producing milk, and it was totally unrelated but put my brain in a weird place.

Sorry your little guys are sick. I hope they feel better soon! Hugs for the weird headspace. I get like that too when I read articles like that.

orangehibiscus what toys are you bringing? I don’t have any tips but we’re taking our first plane trip this week and I’m very nervous.

It’s been miserable in my house for at least a month. M had rsv (tested positive on 11/1 and is still coughing) then pink eye a week ago. I’ve been sick at least as long with a cold or allergies which turned into an ear and sinus infection that I still have and am sure I’m getting pink eye now too, it looks awful tonight. We fly to my mom’s in CA on Tuesday morning and I’m not even excited, I feel like shit and can’t taste anything.

Flying with littles isn't as bad as you think it is. We have done a few trips with my older two at this age and mostly just snacks and allowing yourself enough time to get through the airport. We are always surprised when the trip is over at how well it went.

I was just planning on bringing soft toys with a shaker thing inside (not squeaky). We have several different ones that DD likes (moose, turtle, and elephant). We flew with DD when she was 5 months old, and she did amazing! She basically slept the whole way there and back though. I’m more nervous about these flights because DD is so much more interactive and aware of things than she was at 5 months old.

bex15 I hope you guys catch a break and feel better soon. My childcare provider just texted me that another baby tested positive for RSV a week ago. She only overlapped with the twins one day, but they were exposed and I think it's pretty contagious. I will probably call our pediatrician to see if we can get in tomorrow. My H is home with them today. This week is soooo busy at work and Thanksgiving prep, too. What treatment did M get for the RSV? Did you have to do any breathing treatments?

Eames, no breathing treatments, luckily his was not nearly as bad as I’ve heard from other people. Just normal cold treatment, humidifier, nose Frieda, baths, etc. fingers crossed the boys are okay, it’s so stressful.

We are doing the humidifier, bulb suction, lots of fluids and rest, etc. I just get so stressed out about breathing stuff after DD was in the hospital 4x at almost 2 years old, once was in the PICU. It was so horrible even though the hospital gave fantastic care. At least it's a short week. My in laws are in town for Thanksgiving, but I'm not sure we'll take them to the big thing yet. Thursday is still a few days away I suppose.

Hugs to everyone dealing with sickness. We have had a bad cold both me and N. Its been almost 2 weeks. I would love a holiday season with no illiness but that seems unlikely.😂
We are travelling around the state for the holiday. I am just looking forward to a 4 day weekend.

We took the boys in last night. Their pediatrician offered to see them at 7:30 pm in their office, which was awesome. It's likely RSV, but she didn't test because it wouldn't really change the course of treatment. It has evolved to bronchiolitis, unfortunately. We are keeping a close eye on them, but for now it's just rest, fluids, humidifiers, etc. My H's mom is here helping to watch them while I work remotely. Thankful for her and that this is a short work week so we can get through it with rest. Day 4 of the illness, and the pediatrician said days 3 to 5 are usually the worst.

I’m sorry for all the sick babies (and adults!)
We’re hanging on by a thread over here, DS was diagnosed with pink eye today. He was finally feeling better! At least his immune system is being built up?
We are supposed to go to MH’s aunt and uncle’s tomorrow, I may send H and DD and keep DS home. They said the eye meds work pretty quickly but his cousin has a 1-year old. I’ll just have them bring me a plate.

Sorry for all the sick kids and adults! I hope your boys feel better soon Eames and bex15! DD is so gassy! We have her on Enfamil NeuroPro Gentlease formula, and she gets gas drops when needed and before bed. She is still very gassy. She is eating solid foods, and I haven’t been able to pinpoint which food(s) are the cause. Some days she isn’t really gassy at all though. I wish I could figure it out.
