And then I got distracted and never posted.
I am trying to figure out a good schedule. Yesterday I had her only take 2 naps, it went great other than a bit of fussiness. Unfortunately, at daycare she doesn’t nap as long (30 min naps instead of 2 hours), so she’d have a different schedule on weekends than at school. We’ve had a really rough 2 months of night wakings, but 2 new teeth broke through and she actually slept last night!
Food - I’ve been waffling between finger food and purées. But so far she’s very upset by both and would prefer neither, thank you very much. I need to get better about feeding her, I’m just not sure when I have time to. I’m probably overthinking everything.
Milestones - Her two top teeth have joined her bottom teeth. She is rolling and scooting around and will be on the other side of the room if I look away for a minute. She can sit up for a little bit before ending up on her belly and has started a bit of babbling.

November! Crazy.
We’re finally starting to get some good crib naps over here. He still naps better at home than at daycare but at least it’s no longer 30 min of naps total. At home he’ll go about an hour in the morning, 2ish hours in the early afternoon and then 20-30 min in the evening.
He loves food. We haven’t done finger foods, just purées, but we’ve done a variety of fruits and veggies and he loves it all. No PB allergy signs, woohoo!
He’s so close to sitting by himself; can hold it for a short time then he will tumble forwards or to the side. Also, he’s finally figured out how to put the paci back in his mouth, which means less MOTN paci drops👏👏

I can’t believe it’s November, it might as well be January!
Sleep is going okay, he moved into his crib a few weeks ago and I did a little sleep training so he goes down amazingly now at 715 normally and we get him up at 645 unless he wakes up first. He’s still up 1-2 times/night to eat. 3 naps currently though I will be curious if that changes when he goes to the next room at daycare which happens this week. Personally I’m happy with 3 though.
For food we’re still doing purées exclusively, I look forward to starting some finger foods but am a little nervous, we are up to three meals/day (normally) and he generally eats better at daycare that home.
We’re working on sitting up, he can only hold on his own for 10 seconds or so. He’s just started clapping and it’s the cutest thing ever.
On another note, I think he’s finally recovered and going back to daycare tomorrow thank god. I’ve been trapped in this house since Friday, but truly, I’m thankful the rsv didn’t become too serious. And he got his helmet last week which is challenging in terms of clothes! I’m annoyed because he has to dress so cool (short sleeves or shorts) so basically everything I bought already for winter is wasted and it’s hard to find what I need at this time of the year.

Leroy naps so shitty. He mostly sleeps through the night, so I'm not really complaining, but he napped 18 minutes this morning and maybe the same this evening when he passed out eating dinner. He falls asleep eating at the same times when you'd expect a baby to nap, but he doesn't stay asleep.

Happy November! How is everyone doing? Its supposed to snow tomorrow... 🥶🥶🥶 Otherwise ok other than I never feel like there is enough time to get everything done. dishes and laundry our the bain of my days haha
How’s it going with sleep and schedules? Sleeping is ok N. naps about 3 times a day for 45 min to an hour. At night she can be up 2 times or a lot... I have been sending my husband in if it has not been at least 3 hours since she last ate that seems to get her back to sleeping more quickly she wants the milk if I am trying to get her back to sleep.
How’s eating food going? She ate some pices of salmon and zucchini. I was impressed before this week anything that wasnt completely smooth she gagged on an would come back out.
Any development milestones to share?
She sits well and has learned to catch herself when wants to transition to her stomach. She rolls around and scoots to get things. I need to start baby proofing more...my older kids leave a lot of stuff on the ground that she will soon be getting into.

Hey all!
Well my kid still doesn't sleep, so.. that's fun. I think my H is about to break, so I'm going to take an all nighter so he can sleep a full 8 hours tonight.
He eats like a damn champ though. Love all the foods. No allergy to PB! he's a little weary of finger foods, but he's doing thicker purees and loving them. I think he's teething, too, which is a pain. He's also sitting up for 20 minutes at a time unassisted and rolling everywhere. He's desperate to crawl - he's getting up on all 4s but can't quite string together the movements. He's one of the younger babies here (6.5 months old) but he's giant. He's around 22lbs and 28.5 inches. He's wearing almost all 9 month clothing which is great since I bought him a ton of Christmassy stuff last year that won't fit next month. Wee! lol But he's happy and sweet and adorable and I want to squish his dumb little face.
Poof

How is everyone doing? Things are sooo hectic. I feel like I never have enough time, and basically someone *needs* something from me from 5 am to 10 pm. I was promoted to VP during my mat leave, so in addition to twins I have a bunch of new responsibilities here. I'm also still exclusively pumping. We're at 8 months now, and the year mark is in sight! Looking forward to my in laws visiting so my H and I can get out on a long day date.
How’s it going with sleep and schedules? We had a few days of C STTN and S up only once. But now they are back to waking around 2 or 3 AM and up around 5 or 6. Usually my H can get them back down so they're up for the day around 6:30 or 7. They go to bed around 7:15. Two naps a day at 9 and 1, morning nap is usually 45 minutes to an hour and we usually get 2 hours in the PM! 🎉
How’s eating food going? They love food. We are starting to give them small bits of our food. They love smashed peas, puffs, tiny TINY pieces of scrambled egg, chicken, pancakes, etc. Favorite meal is applesauce with peanut butter and oats. We are up to "meals" 3x a day, and they still are taking in 25-28 oz of milk a day. They also like the small hand held mesh feeder type bags (?) with banana, blueberries, etc. They usually gnaw on those while I make dinner. They are getting hefty, lol.
Any development milestones to share? S is crawling. Getting into everything! C is so close, up on all fours and rocking. Both can sit for a long time, maybe 15 minutes if they are concentrating on toys? Working on pincher grasp and self feeding. It's a necessity with twins! They are pretty good at getting puffs in.

Sorry it has been a while. I have been trying to keep up with everyone’s posts, but then I forget to come back and post or don’t have two hands available. I also realized/ have been told by all my family that I’m dealing with PPD and am starting meds this week. I just feel so overwhelmed most of the time.
How’s it going with sleep and schedules? C was up every two hours last night and the schedule has gone out the window. I was trying to worm on transition to two naps a few weeks ago and now he only sleeps for 20-30 minutes at a time about 3-4 times a day. Often he will wake up if I try to put him down. I’m so tired and not sure what is going on with the sleep regression. He was sleeping through the night at 5 months and has slowly deteriorated more and more. It could be cold, ear infection, teeth, leap, grey period, being nursed to sleep 🤷🏼♀️
How’s eating food going? That’s not going great either. I started doing lures about 6 months but wasn’t good about doing them super regularly. Then about two weeks ago we ended up taking him to the ER as he kept vomiting every few minutes for an hour. After being checked in he ended up pooping a ton and then seemed better so I’m worried it is food related and have stopped giving him much until we see pedi today. He seems to like food though. Especially if we hold a chunk of something and he can suck on it. Doesn’t like sweet potatoes though.
Any development milestones to share? 7 months yesterday, I almost didn’t realize it. He is sitting and full on crawling as of last week. I think he is trying to chase his sister around. I was so excited that he could sit so it would be easier to put him home and have him chill but he was on the move almost immediately after he could sit. I need to baby proof!

snickerdoodle, I'm sorry for the ER trip and bad sleep! We're not getting great sleep over here either. I think both guys just want to practice crawling.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven’t been great at updating. Congratulations on the promotion Eames! That’s awesome! DD is 7.5 months old. She is sleeping in her crib and has been for the last month. She doesn’t eat during the night, but she will fuss sometimes. H and I will put her pacifier back in her mouth, and she will go back to sleep. Sometimes she does that just once a night, and some nights it’s like 4-6 times. She has finally decided that she likes food! She loves squash, peas, avocado, oatmeal, carrots, sweet potatoes, and yogurt. She isn’t huge on fruit so we have to sneak that in to her oatmeal and veggies. She also doesn’t like cold things (yogurt was the first). She can sit up when she wants to for 5-10 min. She will fall over after that, so I sit close to her and have a pillow behind her so I can catch her. She can get up on her knees, but she can’t crawl yet.

I'm so over winter already, and it hasn't even started! Poor DS is in a revolving cycle of sickness and just can't seem to get all the way better before getting worse again. I wish I could just put him in a bubble until his birthday, but unfortunately we still have to work.

We got a little wagon made by Green Toys for them to share from Santa, and some little car type toys- one Pooh and Eeyore, one Piglet and Tigger. That will be under the tree with a bow from Santa so my 5 year old doesn't get suspicious.
In their stockings: sippy cups, puffs, stacking cups, keys toy, maybe some pouches.
Then from us: 12 month size clothes, Christmas book. I'm debating 2 Melissa and Doug pull-type toy trains that are Mickey/Pooh. I can link if you need. We just have so many toys already... trying not to go overboard but it's hard!

So DD has decided that she’s a belly sleeper. The last couple nights she peeing out of the front of her diaper because it’s so full. The back of her diaper is essentially dry. We’re phasing out size 3 diapers and going into size 4, and she has been in size 4 the last couple of nights. How do I fix her peeing out of her diapers?

What’s everyone buying for Christmas? I need ideas. This is a really good question. He plays with all of DD’s old baby toys. Sippy cups for sure. I also have my eye on the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Smart Stages Puppy. And bath toys.

For Christmas, we’re doing the Want, Need, Wear, Read thing.
For want (lol), he’s getting the magic star learning table. For need, he’s getting the stroll and learn activity walker. For wear, tons of clothes. He has literally nothing for clothing past 12 month sizing. For read, he’s getting books. Duh. Lol.
From Santa, he’s getting a soft set of tools/ toolbox, stacking cups, bath toys, pouches, the learn shapes picnic basket, the ball popping bulldozer, and a giant Elmo.

Gosh you guys are so organized. I havent even thought about christmas yet for any of my kids. We usually get more practical things, like ski gear or stuff to do outside, like a zipline, bikes, etc. My big kids will get ski lessons and I'm not sure what else. I have no idea about what to get the baby. Probably a convertible car seat.

Any tips on flying with an 8 month old? We have to change planes twice going to our destination and coming home. The first flight is about an hour. The other two are each 2-2.5 hours. Total time flying and layovers is about 15 hours.
We’re planning on bringing non noisy toys and lots of snacks.
