Same, but for my kid it's because DH traded in his regular nightlight for one that turns off after 4 hours. So we got the hysterical scream cry terrified of the dark wakeup instead of the regular ole no waking us up... omg. why? Why would he do that? Is there a shortage on nightlights?Β I mean, if I had a nickle for everytime I asked him why he did something, I could pay someone to stand with a light in my child's room overnight.

Iβm hoping itβs just the time change, but DS has been an absolute terror. He slapped a girl yesterday at school, and today he threw a wooden egg so hard he broke it. His teacher was very concerned because itβs not like him. But heβs been losing an hour of sleep by waking up at his old time still. I just put him down 40 minutes early because I canβt handle his bullshit right now.

If she doesnβt nap, I lose my mind and she is a tired mess because 2 year old. She currently *might* have just fallen asleep on a cushion near her crib on the ground at 10:30. Hopefully itβs just a quick phase with your guy.

The kids have been playing with play doh independently for an hour. I mean, Iβve had to shout the occasional reminder for Dd to not lick it but over all itβs been wonderful and relatively quiet.
Mh is going to flip when he sees that colors have been mixed π¬ Heβs a play doh purist. But some play doh mixing is totally worth my sanity.

I honestly feel like DD can smell or sense this baby. She has been absolutely insane lately. So much crying, so much indecisiveness, so much whining....ugh. I feel like sheβs bored so Iβve planned out her days with different activities, but this is not really working. π

DD found the Dr. Spock baby manual thing that someone gave me when she was born. She had me read the part about 3-5 year olds and it said 3 year olds are delightful. I laughed, and laughed, and laughed.

I tell him itβs his last chance to decide and would rather deal with the inevitable crying.

I'm only 5.5 weeks pregnant and haven't gone to any appointments and am already switching providers. I made appointments with the midwives and have to call to cancel the appointments at the OB. I feel a bit weird because the OB will still be doing the c-section.

That part is not weird and that's how it was done with my last c-section. I only feel weird because I initially got set up with the OB as my provider but want to quit them and switch over to the MWs.

Our pre-k program is only half day but theyβve started a lunch buddy aftercare program and itβs only $15 for 2.5 hours. I signed ds up for it so itβs just dd and I. We ran some errands and then because itβs easier with just one kid, I started a pre-holiday purge. I tackled the playroom and closet of doom which is a terrible catch all for stuff I avoid dealing with. I have two boxes of toys and books to donate/give to a friend. Live footage of me:

My kid promised not to be sad and give me a hug when I show up to pick him up today and we'll see if he keeps his word. It's only happened once so far.

Thatβs so cute and Iβm glad for your sake and for him that he seems to be keeping his word on something like this. Thatβs like huge. Every day , everything DS does I think DD want like this at all. When will I get over it? Two completely different babies/kids. That look identical You may never. I have the added bonus of them being same sex, so I can't even blame it on "oh that's a boy thing and that's a girl thing." It's a true testament to that "every child is different" motto. Because it ways it's like being a first time mom all over again. (But with a more full tool belt at your disposal.)
