We have a heartbeat! So ruling it as a threatened miscarriage. While we're not totally out of the woods, being so early, seeing the heartbeat puts it down to only 5%. So I'm quite relieved. I had a second blood draw today but don't know the results yet, but HCG was over 26000 Sunday so I'm also taking that as a good indicator.

Hello. We're just waiting for K's surgery. They said 10:30 then 11:30 then 11... and they still haven't come to take her. Oh well.. more snuggles for me. I'll be staying the night with her tonight. I miss C a lot though. So ready to get this girl home.

danib Great news! One of the girls on N13 had a subchorionic hematoma with her 5th kid. She bled a good 6 weeks I believe and then it cleared up on its own. Hopefully, it's something like that and no risk to you or the baby.

K's in surgery now. They gave us a pager to send us updates. I feel so 90s.

danib, I’m so happy for you! cookswithwine, DH is great too and really hands on when he’s home! Doesn’t mean I don’t get annoyed that he can’t seem to do what I can do! We won’t send him dick glitter (yet). Good luck this week! goldenlove, I hope it goes smoothly! Will be praying for K and you! I have a starving kid! Must be a growth spurt but seriously I couldn’t afford to maintain the amount of food he’s putting away. I’m also finding that he is not as hungry at night when he has these big food days!?!

Feeling like I rocked at being a solo mom of 2 tonight! O was fed, bathed, jammies, teeth brushed, stories read and in bed by 8:05p. After he was in bed, I got D down by 830p. Tomorrow morning will be the real test though!

Well, yesterday was a good day. But today I was woken up at 4:30 to a toddler yelling “mommy mommy I need to throw up!” And yes, J threw up again today all over his bed. So no school for him today but I do have an oil change scheduled for 9:30. Please pray he doesn’t puke all over the dealership.

I don’t chance diarrhea either waitwhat! Got both kids out the door and O to school on time this morning! D has his 2 mo wellness appt and shots today! Yesterday, Os teacher told me he’s being super aggressive at school and hitting/kicking other kids. She wants to start a “communication log” with me to discuss his behavior each day.... lovely. Do almost 3 yo understand delayed consequences? I’m thinking of being a super millennial mom and doing a star chart. If he has a good day he gets to put a sticker on the chart, and so many stickers = something good (thinking going out for ice cream?). If he has a bad day, Im thinking no YouTube kids when he gets home from school (that’s the only thing I can think of that he will be upset if I take away). Is this a good plan? Other ideas?

I was! cookswithwine I need to look back at the book The Well Behaved Child that flamingo suggested a couple years ago and see when they suggest the delayed consequences but I don't think it would hurt to try. Maybe you could get his teacher on board to and remind him he won't get a star on his chart or he won't get to watch youtube when he gets home if he continues to hit, etc. That could help reinforce the consequence and the reward. Really talk it up to him. ETA I feel like H is further behind most kids right now and wasn't sure if he'd really understand. You should have seen the fit he threw when I put his ipad on top of the fridge. I'm going to keep trying it. If I see anything else in the book that could be helopful I'll let you know.

I'm feeling all sorts of emotions today. The discharge nurse came to rounds this morning and she said she'll be by tomorrow to discuss everything we'll need for going home. They're going to start feeding K through the tube today at a slow continuously pace then start to condense the full feeds tomorrow. As long as there are no issues, they'll send us home! It could even be this weekend!
