I haven't been in here in a couple days. H left for a work trip yesterday, so I have been solo with the girls when I am not at work. It's not bad, they are relatively easy, but I still don't have much extra time. MIL flew in today and picked them both up, which is nice. She is covering the overlap with my own work trip. I leave tomorrow afternoon for a conference. Probably my only work travel for another 5 years, LOL.
Re- picky eating. This is around when DD1 started her phase and she still is a little picky. The key is finding the veggies they like. Both girls love edamame and cucumbers. Sometimes baby carrots and snap peas. So I will just continue to buy those and sporadically mix in other things to test them out. So far, DD2 doesn't seem very picky, but neither did DD1 until about 2.5 and then it went to shit. But she is a healthy 5.5 year old now so I guess it's fine.

Both my girls will eat salad, mostly because it's the vehicle that gets dressing into their mouths, but they happily eat it! And broccoli, they both definitely eat broccoli. Carrots sometimes.
I'm on a work trip right now, speaking of them. I'm actually really enjoying it. I'm learning a ton and having a fun time with my new co-workers. We spent the night at Disney Springs tonight and it was really nice. We fly back tomorrow and I'm not excited for school Friday.

Sounds like a good location for a work trip cnf! DD has things she doesn't like, like cucumbers, but I wouldn't call her picky at all. We're pretty lucky with that so far. Work continues to suck all of my energy. I really don't like training new people while also trying to get my stuff done 😬

Ds1 is super picky. It's painful. He tends to calorie load earlier in the day so I just give him a big breakfast/snack. Lunch at school has been a challenge.
Ds2 isn't picky ... Yet. I don't think there's anything that he straight up dislikes. 🤷

The only veggie Ds1 will eat is corn “with lots of butter and salt!” so we have that a lot even though I know it’s not one of the best veggies. C likes corn too, and he’ll eat cucumbers and peas sometimes. I’ve decided to release the guilt about the picky eating and just continue to offer them meals that I know they’ll like, yet are at least somewhat healthy. Same with snacks.

Neither of my kids are fans of veggies and I haven't done a great job of trying to give them to them. I need to work on that. I will say that L is much less picky than DS1. I'm always surprised at what he tries and ends up liking.

Night one of no pacifier went so amazing! He fussed for about 10 minutes but not even real crying l. I had a blanket in there that I took out later (I know he’s old enough to have one but it still makes me nervous). He woke up crying at 130 and I went in there and he asked for the blanket and went back to sleep 🙌🏻
Here’s hoping it wasn’t a fluke and that he does great today for nap and bedtime!

Good morning! I woke up early, worked out, meal planned, grocery shopped, and got my hair cut all by 9:30. The boys are currently running off some energy in the front yard. It’s cloudy and 50s now but it’s supposed to start raining soon.

Happy October, ladies! I’ve been MIA because work is insane. The group of students this year is keeping me incredibly busy, and I’m so mentally drained at the end of the day. All I do after eating dinner and cleaning the kitchen is veg on the couch watching tv.
We’ve had our treadmill two weeks now, and I’ve worked out at 5:30am every weekday since. I’m still running outside on the weekends, but it’s so nice to be able to get a run in before work! I’ve got my next half marathon next weekend. I’m feeling good about it,
Hope everyone is doing well!

Night two of no paci went pretty great as well! He even napped well yesterday too. I’m glad we did it and it was definitely smoother than I anticipated!

I have also been MIA, I just finished up a 2.5 day conference. It was really informative, and I’m glad I got the opportunity to go. A couple former coworkers were there, one of whom I got to hang out with quite a bit, which was nice! I also met a couple new people and hung out with them. I’m not usually outgoing, so that was an accomplishment for me, lol.
I’m at the airport now and on my way back home. I’m glad I got here early, the Atlanta airport is crazy huge.

E doesn't use a paci at daycare nor did he at his last place. I don't see taking his away too much of a problem. That said, I'm in no rush to remove it at home.

My H is pretty sure I have bronchitis. All I know, is that I am tired of coughing and being sick. I have been sick for over 3 weeks now.

If I’m still like this by the weekend I’ll go get it checked.

I got my mirena out today! Goodbye, jerk. See you never. She couldn't find my strings at first and needed what looked like freaking needle nose pliers to dig it out of my cervix. All things considered though, I barely felt a thing. That PA was a miracle worker.

N uses it at night and weekend naps. No rush to take it away, probably won't even start thinking about it until he hits 2. Also, hope you are feeling better!

Today is my H and mine birthday. It’s been a pretty lame day but I guess that’s what happens when you are old. I went on a field trip and we ate a frozen pizza for dinner. Real wild over here.
