Why does this child get up so early?! I’m so tired. We have the same problem over here. 5am this morning, we’re lucky if he ever makes it to 6am.

The first night without it he cried for about 15 minutes before falling asleep. The next day at nap he cried for about 5 minutes and whines for about 10 more. Then the second bedtime he cried for 5 minutes again and then was over it. I am sure if he saw it, he would want it again but we tossed them all so we would y be tempted to give in. That being said he only used it at bed/ nap times and in the car so he didn’t have to adjust to not having it all day.

I took both kids to the dentist today. No cavities and it doesn’t look like the beginnings of any thankfully. However the baby has 4 more molars coming in. 😭 No wonder he is chewing on EVERYTHING. I feel like I am living with a puppy.

Another night of no sleep here! It was the first time DS has woken up in months though so I'm hoping it was just a fluke. pippiann DS wants held allll the time too, but only by me. I hear "mommy up?" 100x a day lol. Cooking dinner has been impossible unless DH is watching him.

pinkcat, our ped is happy if we make it to dentist at/around age 2, so I think you are fine! I'm scheduled to take both kids in December, when DD is about 22 months. I'm bringing her then since DS (age 4) has a check up also! marygracerich, how did it go with 2 at the dentist?

While she is in the chair I let the baby roam around the room. Then I hold him for his exam and G watches. It helps that their dentist is only for kids so they have fun stuff on the walls and a machine with prizes. If you do well at your visit they give you a token for the machine.

DD climbed/fell out of her crib this morning. She was not happy about it so I'm hoping she doesn't try again. Not seriously hurt or anything, thank goodness. I heard a THUD and thought the laundry basket fell off the dryer but then DH came running out of the laundry room asking "what was that?" and he ran right up to get her.

DS started this nonsense (climbing out of the crib) at 15 months and never stopped so we didn't really use the crib much after that and co-slept mostly until we got him his big boy bed around 2 yo. I don't think she's ready for a bed yet though.

I went to a Dave Matthews Band concert last night. Found and passed my limit of too much alcohol. Yikes.

I went to a Dave Matthews Band concert last night. Found and passed my limit of too much alcohol. Yikes. We loooooove DMB. Sorry about the alcohol though! I went to a party last night and friends kept trying to get me to drink but I kept saying "no you don't understand, one sip and I'll be on the floor." I haven't had any alcohol in months and months. I guess I'm a tee-totaler now???!! My 22 year old self would never have believed that. I am "old and boring" as DS tells me sometimes now.

Speaking of concerts, my b-day is Tuesday (I turn 40!) and Maná (Mexican band) is playing not too far from us, so my parents are taking the kids for the night and DH and I are going! I'm very excited and also appreciate DH going, since he doesn't really know much Spanish but is willing to go along.

Henry doesn’t ask to get up he just starts climbing up me. And I haven’t cooked like I like to in months because he’s always into something. The other night I went back to the kitchen to get my plate and he found a sticker and was eating it. And he is always trying to climb the stove and fridge.

I'm around. I feel like I'm barely staying afloat these days. Teaching is super busy, I am going through med changes, again, and DS1 started hockey so two nights a week we are at the rink. I suppose it will only get worse in the being busy dept.

Hi! I’m here. I have been crazy busy but trying to keep up. The baby has been a tiny tyrant lately. He is so cranky. The dentist says he has 4 more molars coming in so I am hoping that’s the reason for the crankiness.

jessijean DS1 is on the swim team. Practices aren’t mandatory but they are 4 nights a week and Saturday mornings. We try to make at least 3-4 practices a week. Add in h’s fire dept classes and it’s mass chaos here trying to keep it all going.

I feel like I’m failing DS2. We still can’t get to the bottom of his weight issues/stomach issues. He’s been better since he s been gluten free but something is still up as it’s not perfect. We had his follow up today and he’s gained 4 ounces since 9/18 so since August he’s gained less than a pound. He’s still only 30” tall too. He’s generally so happy but I hate trying to guess what he can eat and what is causing all of this on top of always being afraid it isn’t his food making him sick and he’s contagious to all of the kids at daycare.
