Hello! I’m sort of here in between kids, work, and such.
How is everyone feeling? I’m 14.5 weeks and still dealing with some sickness. I am.......quite over it lol

I had my first prenatal appointment today. Baby measured right on track. I also did the bloodwork for NIPT and standard pregnancy screenings, plus a 1 hour glucose since I had GD last time. 🤞I don't have to deal with GD again.

It sucks, and eventually it feels like wondering “is this what I’ll feel like forever???” I hope it goes away soon. 22 weeks is more than enough for that!

Luckily it's just nausea until I eat something and weekly morning pukes. Much better than with my first. But yes, in the moment it feels like it will never end. I keep reminding myself that I'll go back to normal as soon as I give birth.

I had no idea they did them this early.

I had no idea they did them this early. Yeah, I was slightly elevated. He said I could take the 3 hour, but even if I passed I'd have to redo the one hour at 24 weeks, or I could just accept the diagnosis and start monitoring my blood sugar. I just started monitoring, because I feel like it was inevitable. So far my fasting was high, which was my problem with B, but my after breakfast excellent so now I'm second guessing myself. I'll track it and if things seem fine I might see about the 3 hour. I just really freaking hate that test, but I also hate checking my blood 4 times a day and not being able to eat fruit, carbs, or dairy and honestly the thought of having to eat that way for 29 weeks is really upsetting me. I often times was limited to eating a cucumber and 5 almonds for a meal with B because anything more would mess up my numbers. I don't know if I can keep with it for this long. I really struggled with feeling ok to eat with B. Everytime I'd start to eat I'd look at my plate and think "will this be the meal that kills her?" I was a mess for 12 weeks. I'm trying really hard to be ok this time, but I was up all night worrying about all the fruit I've been eating. Just last weekend I ate grapes instead of popcorn during our family movie night. I thought I was making a healthy choice, but I may have done damage to the baby or placenta. I didn't know I was doing something wrong.

My BP has been high at appts and it has sent me into a spiral. I hate feeling like there's something wrong with my body. I don't know much about GD, but it's worth asking about what the risks are. I thought it was just a risk of a bigger baby. I don't know much about it, though.

Bigger baby, complicated delivery, low sugar after birth, obesity later, diabetes for both mother and baby, calcification of placenta, and if not managed death of the baby. They remind you every week that if you don't have good numbers your baby could die, at least in my experience.

I’m glad they make the risks clear (it’s always good to know), but say it once. I see why you’re so worried. Can you do the 3 hour later when you’re feeling better?

I did the panorama test because my ob doesn't offer the NT scan and has every woman do the bloodtest instead. I keep trying to register my kit to see if they've received it and the website keeps saying it doesn't exsist. I want something to stalk!
I'm so anxious to see if everything is ok and to find out the sex.

They'd want me to do the 3 hour or just start monitoring at home. I've been monitoring, but I'm now out of supplies and insurance is denying my prescription for more, so I'll be calling to schedule the 3 hour test for next week. I'm annoyed.

Hi ladies. I’ve been meaning to intro here, but time escaped me. I’m due with my second April 5. We did the NIPT and all came low risk, and we are not finding out the sex. Question for you ladies: has anyone experienced light brown/tan discharge? I had it with my son a lot, and thought if it happened again this time around I would be calm about it, but alas... here I am.

With my first I had a SCH and bled/spotted for 16 weeks. With this pregnancy I had brown/red spotting for about a month, starting around 8ish weeks. My doctor wasn't able to locate the cause of it. It eventually stopped 🤷♀️ Hopefully your spotting lets up soon!
