Is anyone else wondering how this happened? October already??!
Hope everyone is doing well.
Sleep is slowly improving here. She is still being a pain going down and waking early and sometimes going back down but the psycho screaming and climbing is getting better. I'm sure now that I say it, we will be back to square one!

Ditto. Our sleep has been improving as well, hopefully for good. Daycare has also been improving. He hardly cries at all now except for a minute or two at drop off.
He is a snotty mess right now which sucks
My big meeting with my supervisors went so well and all my paperwork is done. So yay!

@starzia cute idea!!
I got N two costumes and am trying to decide which one to return. I got him a fire truck that he wears and an Elmo bc heโs obsessed. Both were on super sale so now I need to make a decision haha.

We've got 2 sets of family costumes because DS1 couldn't get on board with the first.
First set - DS1 will be Capt Hook, E Tinkerbell, and D Peter Pan.
Second set - DS1 will be the Count, E Abby, and D Cookie Monster. I'm trying to convince my husband to dress as Oscar and I'll be Big Bird or Elmo.
We have 3 halloween events so they'll get some use.

D starts at his center for morning ABA sessions on Monday. We were told the process would likely take longer to get everything approved, but here we are. Of course it's on the week where DH has consults and extra swing shifts.
So now we have 2 days to figure out 8am drop offs for DS1 and 8:30 start times for D, located in opposite directions.

We had plans for a night away Saturday and that feels like its slowly slipping away ๐ญ

I havenโt been around in a couple weeks- my FIL very unexpectedly passed away so we had to drop everything for a while to be with MIL. Now weโre home and helping from a distance. Weโre fighting L to sleep all the time still, with early wake ups. I have no idea what to do for Halloween costumes. DS says he wants to be Flash but last year he refused to wear the costume he picked. I may just have them wear some of the dress up clothes we have.

happyfeet9 itโs great heโs starting ABA but man, that is definitely a lot to be juggling. I hope you are able to figure something out that isnโt too big of a headache.

So I ended up buying J a Thomas outfit. Duh. He loves Thomas and trains so its perfect.
Tonight DH says did you take off tomorrow? Uh no. Oh remember a few weeks ago I said you should take off because I wont be home? Are you kidding me? I called the director of our daycare and luckily shes willing ti take J tomorrow for a half day so Ill just take him with me at lunch time and be off half a day which feiday afyernoons are no big deal BUT the other special ed teacher is out, my aide has been out, and Friday mornings everyone tests so I have to be with my kids.

@starzia So, we didnโt really talk to L about it, bc at 2 I donโt think sheโd understand at all. When we call MIL she keeps asking for PopPop though which is just ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ. With DS being almost 5, and knowing heโll have some memory of him, we explained that PopPops heart stopped working (heart attack) and now heโs in heaven looking over us as an angel. I knew he had some understanding of angels/heaven bc of going to a church preschool. DS did end up telling DD while they were playing โPopPop wonโt be visiting us anymoreโ which was sad too. DS hasnโt brought it up since we had the talk with him, so I donโt know. I think the first time we visit MIL itโll sink in more.

I hate when that happens but at least you could fix it all last minute. Things are so complicated with childcare it all sucks.

Iโve been MIA too, sorry girls. I need to be better about checking in! Iโm sorry most are having sleep issues, it just gets more difficult to โtrainโ the older they are. The 2 year sleep regression is no joke. We finally got J to get excited about his room with a real bed but he still needs MH with him most of the night whci6sucks because I get all the infant wake ups. But our 3 yearold now goes to her bed to sleep and sttn so something... Is anyone taking their little ones real trick or treating?

I plan on taking him to those plus maybe a fee on the cross street thus year but thats its. We are doing a trunk or treat or two and i dont think he will last much longer then a street or 2

We took R with T last year. So far, T isnโt really that interested. She does both sides of the street from corner to corner which is only about 35 houses. She really likes handing out the candy and seeing all the kids, so I expect she will do the same this year - as soon as she sees our house from across the street she wants to come home. Iโd rather just buy the candy I like then have her go get a bucket of random shit for us all to eat - plus, she has a peanut allergy and canโt have all of it. R has a little more stamina than T, so Iโm hoping she likes seeing all the kids and handy out candy too for many years to come.

We will probably just trick or treat our fairly small neighborhood this year. Ds1 really had a blast last year and gets so excited about the candy. They are going to be superman, Batman, and a tiny wonder woman who is too small for the 0-6 month outfit I found at Walmart. Dh and I might wear Justice league t-shirts if I'm feeling motivated. I'll probably just go a block and then come back with the baby to hand out candy

Weโll go trick or treating probably just on our street of 10 houses- DS doesnโt like candy, crowds, or talking to people he doesnโt know so he is not motivated for TOT. He picked out a Flash costume so Iโm going to find a superhero one for L too.

I donโt think we will do real TOT but maybe. Thereโs a block in our neighborhood that goes all out, the street is blocked off, and itโs a big thing. Last year N and I went and walked around so maybe this year we will actually TOT. Idk if I mentioned but he will either be Elmo or a fire truck.
So he has croup. 99% sure. Started last night with a fever and just ugh. Bad night and morning bc he refuses to take medicine! I legit just got him to take some bc he finally agreed to eat. Also watching ALLLLL the videos he wants today. He slept until 7 and then we came out to the living room and he fell asleep on me until 10! Iโve napped on and off so much this morning already. Poor guy.

She had the fever for less than 48 hours. I hope N feels better soon.
