Hi. Pumpkin patch tomorrow and 60 degree weather!! But just for a day. H and I got in a small argument tonight bc I feel like he follows me wherever I go and I can’t have a minute to myself. If you’re watching a movie and I get up to pee, that’s not a sign to follow me to the bedroom. Go away. omgggg my husband does this too. Today he got home early from work and wanted to lay next to me and just randomly reach out and...pet me? The fuck? yes! The random petting, too! I’m glad he still likes me but maybe not do that? I brought it up to him last night and he pouted like a 5 year old and said he’d stay in the living room. Fine by me! I’ll take some quiet time however I can get it.

It was DD1’s final day of fall soccer and 32°. I am so glad to be done till spring. Unfortunately with an O17 birthday DD2 will be too little to play next year and she so wants to join her sister. She’s so tall (99%ile at her 2 yr appt last week!) I’m not sure anyone would know she’s not 3 come spring season.
*I’m not putting her in by the way, just wish we had more things local to put my active 2 year old in. The second she throws one of her dramatic toddler temper tantrums, like over her shoe being purple or the wrong cup brought to practice, it would give her away 😂

curmudgeon and cythe H and I have had these exact same conversations regarding space and personal time just this month!!!! I really don’t mind doing bedtime with the girls but don’t expect me to then cuddle up in the coach when I have just spend the last hour+ cuddling, hugging, rocking, and having my personal space invaded by the girls. I need solo time to recharge too!!!!!!

Team green turned BLUE this morning!!! Baby Theo was born at 38+2. My third unmedicated birth and second birth centre water birth. He is 7lbs 14.5 oz and 22 inches long. My water broke at 2am but I wasn’t contracting regularly. Things ramped up around 6/6:30, I got in the tub just before 7 and he was out at 7:55. About 4 contractions worth of pushes. No tears and my bleeding is much less ridiculous than with DS. I am feeling really good, just resting at home. DS and DD both love their little brother Oh my oh my oh myyy!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!

Is anyone else's O17er still drooling? DS was the world's drooliest baby, but it went away for the past 8-10 months. Now all of a sudden the drool is back. It's not like when he was a baby when his shirts stayed wet, but basically just a constant stream of drool from his mouth. Could it be the 2 year molars? My DS2 was also drooly last week, and I was like, he can’t be teething....can he?! I stuck my finger in his mouth, and sure enough - another molar on his bottom right side. I am so excited to think that once the 2 year molars are in, I’ll be done with teething forever!!!! DID YOU KNOW THEY GET 6 YEAR OLD MOLARS??!! neither did I til last year 🤷♀️ Although there was considerably less drool and DS1 can just pop an ibuprofen if needed 🤣

Soccer was F.R.E.E.Z.I.N.G Saturday. So glad it was the last day. We made it through, but we were colder than at the football game the night before. We weren't going to go to the football game due to the temps (sit outside when it is in the uppers 30s for 3 hours - no thank you). The boys cried when I told them we weren't going to Daddy's game so I layered clothes on all of us, loaded up blankets, winter coats, and snow pants and we went. I wondered if we'd make it to halftime but we were actually fine. DS2 even fell asleep in my lap during 4th quarter which he never does. Fast forward to Saturday morning and we froze. It seems like it'll be forever until DS2 can play in the tiny tots leagues. But then I have to figure out how to jungle getting them both to their practices and I'm just like....

My office had a kids day today. Everyone dressed up and decorated the “open concept desks”. Complete with haunted house. It was fantastic even tho DS1 got scared and cried. He still voted the haunted house the best decorations because “it was the only one that traumatized” him. 😂 so I guess he likes a good scare. Lots of candy brought back and a pumpkin. Hope they keep it as a yearly tradition.

A woman dressed like a zombie told him she was after his brains and he said well too bad, I’m a skeleton so I don’t have any brains.

Taitai is Halloween a thing in Thailand? Or do they have something similar they celebrate at another time? curmudgeon the office party sounds fun and your DS1 sounds like a hoot! cythe happy belated birthday to E! I have no advice on the nonwalking thing. if your pedi isn’t worried, the EI people aren’t overly concerned, all the specialists you’ve seen aren’t worried then I don’t know what else you can do. 🤷♀️ I would maybe see about the ENT and check on the vision thing just because it would help cross off things from the list of possible causes - especially if you’ve maxed out your insurance deductibles for the year already anyway.

I just want to be clear because this will probably sound confrontational, but its not I swear! The pedi isnt concerned but our physical therapist is. Shes the one that was asking me to see about getting an ENT referral. She messaged me back today to let me know how disappointed she was in hearing my recap of the appt. Its so hard having one half say its fine and the other half saying "we should look further" and im just over here looking for my mom instincts like

cythe ahh ok! I guess I’d maybe follow the PT’s suggestion since she sees E more? Idk because I totally get you on the mom instincts. Everyone’s like “you’ll know when they ________” and I’m googling all the things because apparently I’m missing the obvious signs 🤷♀️ Did the pedi give you a timeline for when they would start to be concerned about the pulling up/walking stuff? I’d probably try for an ENT referral if you’ve hit your deductible. The year DD1 had to visit the emergency room for a choking incident we hit our deductible by the end of Jan 😑 so that was the year of all the medical things. DD1 got private speech therapy in addition to her regular EI. We did a whole slew of ENT testing stuff too... hearing tests with a toddler require a bit of patience (and a lot of visits for us!)

Thanks guys! We are adjusting well and DD and DS love their little brother! DH goes back to work tomorrow but DD slept over at my parents house and then they are taking DS for the morning too while she’s at school so it’ll just be me and baby!

doodlemommy Great to hear things are going well with the transition to 3! Enjoy the little baby snuggles 🥰 danvers Halloween isn’t really that popular in our country- it’s more a thing that expats celebrate. The developing world infrastructure and general way housing is laid out would make trick-or-treating difficult, even if they did celebrate. Locals are very interested though, and everyone always wants an invite to our party!

Hi. Today is party day and I’m outside party city waiting for it to open so I can pick up balloons.
I got so excited yesterday because DS2 said shovel. He is hardly saying real words still, babbling has increased a lot. But shovel! A 2 syllable word!

doodlemommy congrats on number 3! I just made a purple carrot meal for myself for dinner because the kids had McDonald’s, MIL and DH are both taking a nap. 🤔 Nothing new here, gearing up for Halloween and DSs birthday next month. Theme is LEGO/ninjago. 😂

The girls and I took a quick trip up to my parents to kick off Fall Break. Yesterday we visited a huge pumpkin patch/corn maze type operation and had a blast. The weather was beautiful and we stayed well through nap time. I thought DD2 would be a mess but she handled the rest of the day great without one. She has now skipped her nap twice before with the same results and I’m terrified at her perhaps wanting to give up naps so soon.

danvers Nooooo....the O17 babies better not even think about dropping their naps!! So happy you guys got a visit to the pumpkin patch in. I miss that about life in the states Sao MUCH. On the flip side, we took a 2 hr drive for a 3 day beach trip this weekend. The hotel had an awesome splash pad for the kids, a great kids club, and very tasty food. The ocean view from our room is so pretty too. I think we’ll be coming back to this place again!

cythe I must have missed your post but concur with danvers about going with the PT suggestion to see an ENT since she actually spends a significant time more than the pedi. Thinking of you and super belated birthday to E.

danvers lil fella skipped nap 2 days in a row the last week! Ugh! He seemed fine when I got home from work but I noticed was extra grumpy. I suspect him teething again. I love this time of the year and we discovered an actual working farm that opens a section to the public close to our house. They have the basic corn and hay maze and the kids love climbing to the to pf the hay pyramid to have their snack and they absolutely love love playing the the corn box. We're so thrilled to have found this farm and this year the boys picked the pumpkins to bring home and it was actually reasonably priced.

Guise will you forgive me for being MIA for such a while. Can I offer you some pics. I've been swamped with work and consumed with working on DS' costume. He wants to be an angler fish which of course is like not common at all so I whip up one for him and the lewer lights up too! I am actually more excited about it than he is I think.

duskymonkey Wow!! That is an amaaaaazing costume!! I’m so impressed! I didn’t realize that’s what an Angler fish was! I just told H, “you know that fish that Marlin and Nemo run into when it’s super dark, that’s an angler fish!” My H: “Yep. You didn’t know that before??” Lol 😂 Also - I don’t think the Thais gave a hungry ghost festival or celebration. They do offer food, drink, spirit money, and incense at the spirit houses every morning...but I think that is more of a Buddhist thing.
