Omg jt2378. She’s a ninja! Fuck no. Don’t let her into your bed!! It’s been almost three weeks and now N flips out if we don’t let him into our bed and now he’s started to want to fall asleep in there, too, which we say NO, so now I have to lay with him on the futon to get him to fall asleep. I’m losing my mind. LOSING MY FUCKING MIND. Sleep train. Do it hard core and let him CIO. Sleep training is the only thing that consistently works for us. Also. J refuses to sleep in our bed ever which is good.

jt2378 I'm impressed she can unzip her sleep sack! That's finesse. My little caveman just climbs out with his sleep sack still on. Just to encourage everyone to keep sleep training, I never sleep trained ds1, and at almost five, fucking FIVE, he still can't fall asleep on his own. Don't laugh guys, I literally went to Walmart today and bought a bolt and cable to put a lock on the outside of his closet door because he's terrified of the door opening in the middle of the night and a dragon Halloween costume coming alive and walking out. I was still putting him to bed for over an hour tonight even with the lock installed, but tomorrow it's tough love. Kid must learn to fall asleep on his own. Im sorry its been tough for you. Sleep training and tough love suck but in the end i think its best. Big hugs! Weve now done sleep training 4 times, it sucks every time, but afterwards we all get sleep

Not really sure how I can sleep train a kid that walks out of his room and into mine... and who screams Until he just walks out of the room if the wrong parent goes in to calm him down. We’ve already done CIO multiple times and it has never stuck. Hell he even just sttn for a month with no prompting from us and then just woke up one day and refused to do it. My pcp told me to just release it and hire a sleep consultant. And she put me on lexapro so maybe in a few weeks I won’t care so much about his shit sleep 🤷🏻♀️😂😭

R would cry and be super sad about sleeping for weeks. I tried so much shit, like holding her hand in the crib and singing to her. I finally gave her back her paci this weekend and she now goes to nap/bed without a problem. She just couldn’t get over having it taken away, I guess.
We’ve also dealt with some epic meltdowns this week and she went to bed early on Monday and Wednesday. Not sure if she’s fighting a cold or trying to learn new stuff.

I was going to start a new randoms thread but i'll wait till tomorrow for October, LOL OMG anyone have words of wisdom on the sleep woes? Anybody out of the weeds? I can't take it anymore! Sleep has gone to shit and last night she went down ok but woke up at 5:00, unzipped her sleepsack and climbed out of the crib without making a peep, lol. I only heard her because she started jingling the door handle and I jumped up and she was in the hallway. She came into bed with me but DNW this turning into a regular occurrence. I'm still not ready to transition to a bed 😭 I know she will need to be locked in her room because I know she will wake D1 because she will scream and bang on the door. I feel trapped right now. HELP! I know everyone says its just a phase but man it sucks. I have no advice, just solidarity. FWIW, I had to transition all 3 of my kids to beds at around 12 months because they could all climb out of their cribs, even through sleep sacks and the lowest level. They are all ninjas. I was more worried about them injuring themselves climbing out at night - the transition was actually pretty smooth and they all slept much better after the fact.

I TRULY believe there are some kids that are not sleep trainable. Yes, it works for many but not all. Watch, N will be the teenager who will want to sleep till noon everyday 😂 I'm sure we will all laugh someday but its so effin hard when you are in the thick of it.
