Hey ladies! Maybe you've already seen/discussed this, but I apperently missed the original announcement and just recieved a reminder message from Fisher-Price. They put out a recall announcement on all Rock 'n Play Sleepers due to infant death reports occuring over the past years.
I know many of us used these sleepers/rockers when our LOs were babies - and since some of you have newborns/small babies at home again! - I figured I'd share, just in case.

Oh, I didn't know I was supposed to send it back. I'll have to look at the website. I never used it for sleep and was still going to use it as an awake baby holder under strict supervision but maybe I shouldn't.

I never used it for sleep and was still going to use it as an awake baby holder under strict supervision but maybe I shouldn't. Obviously do what you want, but the big issue was they they had the word sleeper in the name and that 10 babies died because their airways got blocked while sleeping bc they slumped down. If I were you and had a newborn right now, and was only going to use it for awake times, I personally would keep it but that is just ME. I even still debate keeping it in case we have another one (doubtful) bc I enjoyed it so much. king26 oh man I didn’t realize it was a choice of three products. The website info made it seem like we got store credit and could buy anything of the fisher price products. Lame.

I researched this more than I should have last night while nursing/pumping, lol. I agree addymac. I may just keep it. So, if you or someone else purchased the product before November 2018, you supposedly can't get a refund and you get a choice of three products. They say the products vary, but they seem to usually be 1) a space saver high chair 2) a bouncer seat (had one and hated it) or 3) a ride on toy. It's so dumb they don't let you pick a product you actually need. From searching on Reddit (lol), I found that some people claimed success in going to their local Target and getting a refund for the rock n play even with no receipt and even if they did not buy it at Target. Other people did not have luck with this. Some people also claimed they had luck directly contacting Fisher Price and getting a cash refund by telling FP that their baby had outgrown the trade-in options. I think I want the cash but haven't decided if it's worth the effort yet.

I'm sooooooooo glad I'm done having babies because this would stress me out so much now. That thing was a godsend and she slept so well in it. Woof is right...
