Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 37w3d/ a pound puppy (aww I used to love those things!) / 9.27
FTM, Etc: #4
Appointments: Friday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink
Milestones: Early full-term
Symptoms: All of it.
Rants: The pressure is fun. Also, I'm super over th BH contractions. They better be doing something. Anything at all.
Raves: I got 6 Crockpot freezer meals put together this afternoon! My husband was awesome and bought the groceries and then I threw them together this afternoon. It didn't take very long at all, either, thank goodness. This is the first time in 4 pregnancies that I've actually made more than 1 or 2 freezer meals!
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy?
Favorite: Anticipating what l&d is going to be like, what she's going to look like, the kicks during second trimester, and having a cute little bump during that time period, too.
Least: the morning sickness, by far. Followed by the major discomforts of 3rd trimester and all of the "hmm how much longer..." waiting. It's crazy how it all seems to go by so fast in hindsight, though!

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: Oct 3/36+4
FTM, Etc: #3
Appointments: MW and MFM thursday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): girl
Milestones: almost early term. After thursday, I’m ready for whenever they say she needs to come out
Symptoms: all of them
Rants: I swear, it feels like this baby is head butting me in the butt sometimes
Raves: 17 days to go!
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy?
The only enjoyable part of this is I get a baby at the end. Pregnancy is a means to an end for me; I hate it so much.

Raves: I'm thankful that my babies like to cook for a good time
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy? favorite I guess is the 2nd tri when you start getting a little bump and still can feel cute. Least favorite is towards the end when you feel like everything hurts and you're dying and you struggle to find clothes that fit lol

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 37w 5d/ Winter Melon/ Sept 25
FTM, Etc: FTM
Appointments: Tomorrow!
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): 💙
Milestones: Nothing new that I know of
Symptoms: Pelvic pain, peeing a ton, exhausted
Rants: I’m so tired of stressing about what I’m eating and whether it’s going to effect my blood sugar. I can only eat a couple things with confidence and know they won’t make my sugar high. Can’t wait to be normal again...
Raves: Had a meeting with my doula, husband is completely on board and happy with her now that he’s met her and understands what she’s there to do. So glad he likes her and realizes how valuable she is!
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy? Favorite: Seeing the movement and feeling him rolling around in there! Least Favorite: The underlying hormonal anxiety that has come with pregnancy. Can’t wait to be normal-ish again. Also the diabetes.

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age:35+2/Spaghetti squash? I can't remember/10.7 RCS
FTM, Etc: #2
Appointments: Thursday
Team: Pink
Milestones: No clue. Getting fatter, hopefully.
Symptoms: Everything. Nausea has come back, not that it ever fully left. Tons of BH/pressure/lightning crotch. I do think she's moved a bit in the last few days since my heartburn hasn't been that bad. Constipation. Lord help me.
Rants: I'm just done.
Raves:Under 30 days left.
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy? Favorite has been feeling her in there and my son's excitement. Least has been everything else, which is so strange. I loved being pregnant with my son. This pregnancy has been way harder. I guess that's what happens when you're 7 years older.

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 36/Cabbage Patch Doll/Oct 7
FTM, Etc: 3
Appointments: today—had my last growth u/s showing baby is 6lbs 12oz (64%). HB was 140. Belly now measuring 35 weeks (it seems to have bounced around from a week or two ahead to right on to now a week behind?) Also had the super fun Group B Strep swab. Praying for a negative again.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): green (and theoretically today was my last scheduled u/s so there’s officially no way of knowing now.)
Milestones: Baby starting to develop sucking reflex?
Symptoms: BHs are increasing, some nights heartburn is out of this world but other nights, not a problem, peeing all.the.time.
Rants: Not really a rant but apparently baby’s abdomen is measuring at around 37-38 whereas the rest of baby is at 35-36. I asked if this could mean anything scary but she said baby was just chunky.
Raves: I got a few things done off my checklist for baby—trying to get my girls to sleep in their own beds, ordered a breast pump, etc. starting to feel so real.
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy? Least favorite has been the worry in the earlier days and the weight gain in the later days. Favorite has been feeling kicks, watching the belly grow, going to prenatal yoga and anticipating labor. It’s an experience unlike any other. And I do overall enjoy being team green this time around and people’s guesses lol

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 35w 1day / bunch of carrots/ Oct 14 (but I'll be induced at 39w, I guess)
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: Today
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue
Milestones: Yesterday was 35/35! And I have less than a month left at work, which is crazy.
Symptoms: Lots of annoying BH and painful pelvic pressure, especially if I've been sitting a lot. Pregsomnia is hitting, too, which is pissing me off.
Rants: MH sent me an article about a teacher who went into labor during class and delivered her baby in front of the school with the principal's help and OMG THIS IS MY WORST NIGHTMARE and now I can't stop thinking about it. DNW my boss or the entire student body to see my vag. I'm working up so close to my due date, I am just terrified of this or my water breaking in class or something similar and I can't stop thinking about it because anxiety.
Raves: Baby area is mostly good to go! Just need to start stocking up on diapers and wipes, but we are definitely ready for his arrival. Also R was out shopping with my mom yesterday and picked out an adorable soft sloth blanket for his brother. My heart melted. (My mom almost didn't buy it because she thought it didn't fit our theme?! WTF, Mom? The "nursery" is in the corner of our bedroom and the only "theme" is "let's try to make all this hodgepodge hand-me-down furniture look like it is supposed to go together" plus one framed dog print. Get the dang sloth blanket!)
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy?
Favorite: That it's been less miserable than my last pregnancy (I had a healthy pregnancy with no issues, but I gained a ton of weight, had a lot of side effects/symptoms, and had a bad attitude/did not enjoy any part of it at all), that my OB's office is across the street from my very favorite donut place, so I treat myself to donuts after every appt, and baby kicks. Also, my son is really excited, so that is cute.
Least favorite: I really don't enjoy pregnancy. I never realized what I huge issue I would have with losing my body autonomy - I struggle with it almost every day. Also, being pregnant after a loss this time around has been really difficult on me, mentally. My anxiety over a healthy is really amping up as I get closer, and I HATE not knowing how L&D is going to start/go for me. I like a rough plan, and it is really unsettling to me knowing I can't really make one. (See my rant above.)

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 35w/Oct 14
FTM, Etc: TTM
Appointments: growth/position scan Monday at 36w. We thought she was head down, but now not so sure
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones:
Symptoms: all.
Rants: so close, but feels so far...I don’t wanna work for 4-5 more weeks.
Raves: We’ve checked a lot off the to do list. Waiting on some furniture to be delivered this week, and then we should be “ready”
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy?
Favorite: I dunno, I like wearing elastic pants? Also DD is so excited which is something we definitely didn’t experience with DS.
Least favorite: This whole pregnancy has been a little odd, losing a twin that is still visible on ultrasound has been a little bit of a mindfuck. I’ve also had morning sickness since the first trimester, and can’t live without unisom, so I’ll be happy to be done with that!

Got a surprise GBS swab at my appt today, and my dr decided to do a little exam while she was down there. She straightened herself up and says, "Yeah, you're not going to make it to your due date." I guess baby is head down, in position, and low. Thanks, dr! Now I'll REALLY have anxiety for the next 4-5 weeks! But that obviously explains the painful pressure I'm having...homie is RIGHT there. cmb I feel you so hard on pregnancy just being a means to an end. I have friends who talk about how much they loved being pregnant and I just can't relate to that in any way, shape, or form.

stayingblonde That worry is exactly why I am NOT doing cervix checks until the day before my induction. I walked around for 3 weeks at a 2-3cm with DS2 worrying that my prodromal labor would turn into active. DNW or need that stress and anxiety

I don't need to know that at all. But just the "yikes" face she made was enough to kick the anxiety into high gear.

I’ve been having nuisance contractions all day, and I am so over it. This is how my prodromal with DS2 was and lasted for WEEKS. I’m over it I know I’m not in labor, but gd these contractions. I’ll have them for hours, ranging from like every 12-20 minutes. My body is old and I’m done.

Add me to the constant contractions. Some are crampy, some are just very strong tightening, but they are getting to be so freaking frequent. I don't even feel like I should be able to complain about wanting to be done but shoot, pregnancy felt so much different in my 20s!

This child weighs 6lbs 15oz at exactly 37w. DS2 was 7lbs 0.8oz at birth at 39w2 😳😳 She wants to follow her oldest brother and be over 8lbs at birth lol

Oh good I’m glad I’m not the only one with ramping up Braxton Hicks—they actually kept me up the other night for a couple hours and kinda freaked me out. But I tend to forget that this same thing happened for weeks with my other two. I do think it’s doing something though because with both kids I would be between a 2-3 at cervical checks for weeks. This time I declined the check altogether. It really seems to be a pointless measurement for me.

DS1 was 8lbs6oz at 40w4, so I’m not completely unsurprised, but man. I was hoping not to top the 8lb mark at birth considering she’ll put on roughly another pound in the next two weeks 🙈

Don't they put on half a pound a week for the last month or so?? If so, we've got some good-sized babies cooking in this group!

Week/Fruit/EDD: 36w5d / Foot-long Sub / Oct 5
FTM, Etc: 2TM
Appointments: Tomorrow for 36-week and also apparently they do a growth ultrasound during it
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Green
Milestones: Almost early term, finishing H's first week of call on Saturday so as long as baby doesn't come in the next two days, we're in the clear
Symptoms: Gag reflex is insane. All kinds of cravings and food aversions. My daily Colace + probiotic isn't working. So basically it's first tri again (without the nausea, thankfully). So much pelvic pressure. BH can get painful. Cramps.
Rants: The pelvic pressure and cramps are slowing me down. But hopefully they're doing something.
Raves: Had a prenatal with a lactation consultant to hopefully head off any issues breastfeeding this kid (had many with #1). Went well. Also had our second prenatal with our doula and talked through relaxation techniques, which I desperately need to practice.
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy? Favorite - Most of it, honestly. The movement is awesome. This pregnancy it's been so sweet to have the toddler talking about the baby in Mama's belly and wanting to give him/her a hug and asking when they can come out and play toys. Least Favorite - Both pregnancies the gag reflex is obnoxious. And no one likes being nauseous but it only lasted a few weeks for me, luckily. This pregnancy the pelvic pressure and cramps and painful BH are super annoying.

OMG I want a drink so bad today. Work has been...something this week. On a normal day I would go home and polish off a bottle of wine. I guess I'll just sit here and stew in my anxiety instead.
And my contractions have been OOC. Yesterday I don't think there was a single minute in the day I wasn't having some painful or uncomfortable contraction OR baby wasn't karate chopping me.
I'm a treat to be around lately.

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 34+2, basketball hoop, oct 22
FTM, Etc: TTM
Appointments: today
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): green
Milestones: 🤷🏽♀️
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, baby headbutting my cervix
Rants: none at the moment
Raves: finally actually registered at the birth Center! It’s getting real!
GTKY: What have been your favorite and least favorite parts of pregnancy? I have been lucky to have really easy pregnancies. I love the baby movements and all the parts of picking names and getting ready. Least favourite...watching my caffeine intake and no fun summer beers or mojitos on patios

DS was 9lbs 1oz and 23 inches long at 40+5. His birth was a million times better than with his sister (7lbs 10oz and 21.5 inches at 41+2). I had no stitches and the birth was quick and easy and my body bounced back way better and way quicker. People keep asking me if I’m worried about another big baby and honestly the thought never even crossed my mind since it was a better experience all around. So you never know!
