Got everyone loaded up in the van to go grocery shopping this nmorning, tonly to turn on the car and get a flat tire warning. Service dept is clossed til Tuesday morning. H's car can only fit 2 kids at a time. Tuesday's gonna be crazy for daycare dropoff and pickup. (Note: I do have a backup sitter who can come to my house, but I'd still be out the $100 I'd still owe daycare.)

Earlier today I put DS down for tummy time on his mat, then looked down at my phone to respond to a text, and when I looked up, DS was on his back. I MISSED IT. And of course, he wouldn’t do it again. I’m so mad at myself. This kid is going to be doing constant tummy time now.

grover I hope you managed to get everyone where they needed to go his morning! @ges072115 I feel like they always do that when you look away! N’s new trick is rolling from back to belly. But she seems to have forgotten how to roll back over and just gets mad and yells. But as soon as I roll her into her back, she does it again. Crazy babies. She was also up all night last night crying. I think I felt a second tooth trying to pop in, so hopefully she gets some relief as soon as it breaks through.

I haven’t been posting much bc it’s just been so crazy here with back to school for my oldest and now sickness is making its way around.
I’m trying to transition dd to her crib. It’s not going well. So we’re still in the snoo. She’s been waking up SO much lately and basically hasn’t slept much so far tonight. I think she’s either getting a tooth or the cold the boys have. Or both. Either way it’s no fun.
I’m going to try and be more active again.

haleyscott I hope you’re getting a little sleep by now. I can’t believe how fast time is flying by. I keep saying N is 4mos and then I looked at a calendar today and realized she is a few days short of 5mos. How did that happen? And we officially have 2 little teeth! Which also means she slept last night. And my DD1 also did, so I am feeling on top of the world today.

Thanks jacks! I ended up just having her completely swaddled in the snoo (still safe as long as she’s in the snoo) and she slept. I think a lot of the issue was a bad cold. She was so stuffy. She seems to be feeling a lot better. I think we are going to switch to the crib tonight. 😬 I’m glad you got sleep too! And two teeth! Oh my goodness!!

haleyscott, we have the sickness here too! Glad your baby is feeling better. I'm the only one not sick in my house, although DD and DS seem to be on the mend. DS STTN 3 days last week after starting daycare but now he's back to being up several times a night and with MH being sick it's all on me. Hoping for healthy kids soon! jacks, yay for sleep and teeth!

@ges I hope your baby starts sleeping again!
It started with my oldest who is in first grade getting a nasty cold. Then ds2 got it. He actually missed his first two days of pre-k this week. And then it trickled down to dd. I assume this will happen a lot but hopefully she won’t get as sick when she’s older in preschool.

Teeth already jacks how crazy. We have been busy. I have been sick since last week. Hopefully getting better. N is rolling a lot from back to belly. She is pretty content on her stomach so she is getting lots of tummy time. She isnt back to sleeping amazing but better than a few weeks ago so that's good at least.

The twins started daycare today! I left work early and am bringing my laptop home so I can get them at 3. DCP just texted me that they went down for afternoon nap at 1:30 but didn't fall asleep until 2:05. So to come at 3:30. I hope that means they were too interested looking around and not that they cried a lot. She sent some pictures and it looks like they were having fun, though.
It's a new transition! I've been up since 4:30 and I'm dying. I was up with them at that time but my alarm goes off at 5:30 and I couldn't fallback asleep in between. First day jitters I guess!

Well one twin napped well and the other not so much. Exactly like normal. 😂😂😂 They were sooo happy to get home, it was really cute. Like I could see the wheels turning like, oh yeah! This place again! Yay! I think they will have a lot of fun there but I know it will take some time to get used to.
They passed out a half hour earlier than normal at bedtime. I wanted to try for a little catch up rest. Fingers crossed they sleep well!

DD was super tired after starting daycare Eames! It took her a couple of weeks to get used to it. There are some days though where she naps for a long time after daycare.

Well one twin slept like a rock and wasn't up at all except for a dream feed when brother woke up. The other guy made intermittent cries throughout out the night. Just like vocalizing in his sleep. He was also up an hour early. That's my poor napper. I hope he gets it together soon, I feel like we are turning the corner with the other guy!

What time does your DD go to bed at night? The twins woke up from last nap at 3:30 ish yesterday. I brought them up for bed at 6:30 and they were out by 7. It was early but I don't know how I could fit a nap in there!

He seems to be waking up around 3/3:30 and I can usually get him to go back down from 5:30-6:00 at home, but sometimes he won't and then it's 7:00 bedtime. He usually goes to bed at 7:30 but he just isn't quite ready to go that last 4 hours with no nap yet.

Not to sound like a completely broken record but... sleep is still challenging over here. Labor day weekend Max had three AMAZING nights. Like, 5-6-7 hours of sleep in a row. This was AMAZING. Then he decided he was all caught up and would sleep from 7:30 to 11:30, and be up every hour after that Last night wasn't terrible, he was up at 11:30 but H walked around with him for 20 minutes and he fell back asleep until 3 when he wanted to eat. I see a light, but goddamn, this is brutal. I also think he may have teeth coming in, he constantly has his fist in his mouth. But his gums don't look swollen? I dunno, I'm rubbing baby orajel on them like 4x a day.

lemondrop sending sleepy thoughts your way! You must be exhausted, I’m sure that’s hard. M is also constantly chewing on his hand/everything but doesn’t seem swollen to me.

bex15 and lemondrop both my older 2 didnt get a tooth until almost a year. So I am not really looking for teeth yet for N. She is a super drooly chewy mess though. In my experience that means nothing yet. if you start seeing a bump or and white on the front of the bottom gum Its probably a tooth on the way.

That’s when we changed her bedtime to 7. She has done better with this, and I get more time in the evening to get stuff done before work the next day. She has had a few days where she went to bed at 6:30pm when she was super tired after daycare. Mostly we aim to get her in bed around 7/7:30pm, and she usually only gets up 1-2 times a night.

lemondrop I'm sorry he is still being so tricky with sleep, I know how rough it is! We are still so sleep deprived. Today my DD said, "mama, under your eyes looks so tired!" 😭😭😭 We are hoping they will both turn the corner soon too. It will happen, hang in there. How is the swaddle transition going?

Anyone else introducing solids? Over here they've tried sweet potato, butternut squash, apples, green beans, avocado, baby rice, and baby oatmeal.
Our pediatrician said to go ahead and give peanut butter too, so they've had that blended with rice or oatmeal and breastmilk. She said to give it 3x per week from now on. Different from my DD when we were told to hold off until age 1.

lemondrop, I'm sorry for the sleep troubles! Hopefully the recent longer stretches mean he will consistently sleep longer very soon. DS constantly has his hands in his mouth too (and his feet, and basically anything he can grab.) MH thinks he can feel a lump on his gums for a tooth but I don't feel it.

N had her first bite of paper 😳last night thanks to my 3 year old putting it in her mouth pre chewed based on the way it looked and the small amount of time he had to do this. I tried to get it out but only got part of it. Poor 3rd child. Otherwise I will wait until October to start food. We will be doing peanut butter right away too. The pedi recommended it last time starting at 6 months.

Eames we’ve started and have tried the same fruits/veggies as you. I can’t say that M particularly loves eating but he tolerates a bit each night. We have his 6 month appointment next week and I think will talk about adding pb and eggs.

No solids yet here, I think we're still going to wait at least a few more weeks. He almost got a bite of orange last night though, DD handed him one of her orange slices and if I hadn't been holding him I'm sure he would've put it in his mouth. Had to re-explain to DD to please not give DS anything because he will absolutely try to eat it.
