I Skyped with my grandmother today and she asked if I have a registry for Baby #2. I said we don't really need much. She pushed on it though so now I feel like I need to put some stuff on a list. Right now it's just big stuff we don't need for at least 6 months (double jogging stroller, double travel stroller). ILs are buying the video monitor. Eventually I'll stock up on pacifiers but not until I know which kind s/he will take. We cloth diaper and are all set there. So.... ideas?

We are having this same problem. The only thing we need is diapers and no one wants to accept that. We have started saying we could use gift cards, freezer meals, etc. it’s tough because we know we are having another boy and all clothing will be in the correct season, we have all the baby equipment like brand new, tons of blankets and burp clothes, etc so we like legit need nothing.

It's nice people are generous but really annoying when they don't want to give you what you actually *need*. Eye rolls to them. I might tell my grandmother gift cards to the stores I usually get clothes from since it's possible our stuff will be in the wrong seasons depending on how this kid grows. We need nothing big (swing, high chair, car seats, etc). Too many blankets the first time. I feel you.

I’ve got a bunch of breastfeeding supplies on my registry for the completion discount: storage bags, an adaptor that allows you to pump directly into storage bags, and one of those silicone manual pumps you can suction to the opposite breast while nursing. I also have a nursing tank, new bottle nipples/lids, and bottle labels for daycare.
Outside of feeding supplies I have a few bibs, a nice muslin swaddle for hospital pictures, baby socks, and monthly/milestone stickers. I might also add a baby Halloween costume.

Ugh yes, it's hard. Not many people have asked. Some of my friends had a sprinkle/dinner for me, but since we cloth diaper and don't need anything I just got the necessities: like Target gift cards, nursing pads, 1 pack newborn diapers (I like using disposable for the first week or two), a couple pairs of NB baby pants, pack of wipes. I would probably just say gift cards would help a lot. That way they don't have to know about the boring stuff you get with it....like post partum pads LOL

aeroplaneoverthesea - Don't know why I blanked on breastmilk storage bags! I have some from Mini which are about a year old and probably still fine, but I definitely need more. I do have replacement pump parts on there, haha.
