Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 32 weeks/Oct 14
FTM, Etc: TTM
Appointments: Wednesday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones: I stopped tracking after viability tbh, I have no idea what she’s doing in there
Symptoms: pressure, BH contractions, still taking unisom and B6
Rants: I had some mild spotting Friday and over the weekend, baby’s been very active, as have I, but I’m freaking out that it means I won’t go to my EDD. Looking forward to getting some reassurance that everything is okay on Wednesday
Raves: My work did demand I take Saturday off, it was nice to have a full weekend to “rest”
GTKY: What are some baby names you’d love to use but can’t? It would appear I like a lot of name. DH does not. Some of my dream girl names include Forsythia, Aurelia, and Valencia. We’ll probably go with something slightly more practical.

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 33+4/ Oct 3/ induction 9/26
FTM, Etc: TTM
Appointments: MW plus MFM thursday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones: 🤷🏼♀️
Symptoms: all of them. Swelling and sciatica is the most noticeable

Raves:
GTKY: What are some baby names you’d love to use but can’t?
I had a whole list back when DS1 was born, and now I can’t remember any of them...
I really wanted to give DD the middle name of Vanessa or Elizabeth, but with a 10 letter 1st name and a 9 letter last name, I think that’s too long 😪

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 34w3d / an Eggo waffle box / 9.27
FTM, Etc: #4
Appointments: Today! In like an hour and a half. I better start getting ready for it ha.
ETA: DS is running a fever so I went to call to reschedule but they ended up calling me to reschedule so that worked out. Now my appt is Wednesday.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink
Milestones: Less than 40 days to the due date.
Symptoms: Sore back, PUPPS, SPD (though it gets worse if she's breech), heartburn, tired, moody, etc etc.
Rants: It's not ridiculously uncomfortable unless she flips. Then her head is lodged in my ribs and her bum puts a ton of pressure on my pelvic floor and my umbilical hernia (third tei is so fun haha). As of now, she seems to be head down but she spent a good bit of the day breech yesterday. This stinker.
Raves: I'm excited August is going by so fast. We have a ton of stuff coming up before the due date so I'm sure that will help next month, too. Not to wish time away but I'm just excited to make it to the end.
GTKY: What are some baby names you’d love to use but can’t? Cecily, Carys, Aaron, Adam... I'm so disappointed we never got to use Aaron! Turns out, it's my BIL's name and he's kind of a dick so we couldn't use it either way but it was one of those names I always wanted to use, even before having kids. Oh well 🤷🏼♀️

Week/Fruit/EDD/baby age: 32w / Florida pomelo / Oct 14
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: 4D u/s on Wed...I'm looking forward to comparing it with our other little guy's 4D pic
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue
Milestones: Not a pregnancy milestone, but school starts this week, so I'm back at work for the final stretch.
Symptoms: Lots of pelvic pressure and I'm definitely starting to waddle
Rants: This pregnancy has been pretty chill and I haven't had many issues, so I haven't had much to complain about at all. But I did reach the point this past week when I'm just kinda done being pregnant. I want a beer. Or a mimosa. Or a big energy drink. I miss my waist. I've had losses and feel so thankful every day for this baby/pregnancy, but I really struggle with losing my body autonomy during pregnancy/newborn stage. I did ok for a long time, but I kinda hit the wall this weekend. Luckily I don't have too much longer to go! Someone please bring me a bottle of champagne to the hospital. LOL
Raves: My kid was asking several months ago when the baby would be here. I was trying to explain it to him in a way he could make sense of, so I said it would be when it starts to look like Halloween outside. Well, we went out and about this weekend and saw...Halloween stuff. Out. Already. So, yeah. We're getting close. I can't believe it.
GTKY: What are some baby names you’d love to use but can’t? I love the name Sasha for a girl and the only reason I wanted this kid to be a girl was so I could use it. I also really wanted to pass either my maiden name or my middle name down as a girl middle name (my maiden name is unique and very girlie and my middle name is the first name of both of my grandmothers), so I'm sad I can't do that.

Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): green

Raves: 3ish weeks left!!!! Ah!
GTKY: What are some baby names you’d love to use but can’t? I like Liam, but one of my brothers used it. Not sure if we would actually use it though even if they didn’t.

@crazy3dogmom I’m very strict on vaccines. No flu shot? See you in May. No DTaP/TDaP? You’ll meet baby when they’re 4 months (so they’ll have two rounds at that point).
I require 2 weeks minimum between vaccine and meeting baby. My MIL always tries to get me to relent, but she’s learned to just get her flu shot. I also took it one step further this year and everyone needs proof of measles immunity or new vaccine 2 weeks prior to first visit. Both DH and my grandmother had to be revaccinated due to no immunity.
Our daycare and pediatrician do not allow you to skip vaccines or do a delayed route, unless there is a medical exemption. My state just did away with all but medical exemptions, too, so there’s been a massive influx of people getting vaccinated. My friends’ kids go to daycares with similar rules, so I don’t worry too much there. If they don’t do the flu shot, though, we don’t risk seeing them during flu season
Do the chicken pox vaccine when it’s time. I was 7 when I got them, and it was extremely miserable. DNW my kid going through that if I can help it.

cmb the chicken pox one is the only one he is being hesitant on and he "wants to hear from a doctor" about how it works, and the effectiveness of it. He read something about how it doesnt actually prevent anyone from getting it, just lessens the symptoms. I think he is being a bit much about it, and the research I give him on it isn't enough. No doubt the doctor will tell him exactly the same as I did but whatever. He needs to get his own TDap booster anyway. The only one I am skeptical of is the HPV one. My aunt actually just finished her HPV vaccine to help her body finally fight it off. It was a hail mary solution, but it seems it got her body to recognize it as a virus and attack it (she’s dealt with it for at least a decade). My only complaint about the HPV one is it hurts like a mofo when you get it. DH even got it a few years ago. It’s been shown to be effective on the 4 most common strands

I got the HPV vax when I had precancer cells in my uterus and it seemed to give my body a boost to fight off symptoms (I did have a colposcopy but there were other issues from the virus). My kids will 100% get it, no hesitation.

Thanks for the replies ladies. I admit I haven't done a whole lot of reading on the HPV one since it is fairly new and I just kind of put it off since itll be a while until we get to that one. Pretty sure it's the only "recommended" vaccine I never did, because it was so new and then didnt have insurance. My husband was sneakyish and texted our friend so he talked to her about getting a Tdap booster, flu and measles booster/titer. She agreed to immediately and then called me asking why I would ever think she would say no. Glad she's on board! Makes it easy. We required all our family visitors to get TDaP for our first kid two years ago so they're all still fine there. Since this once is due in flu season we're asking they get that done as soon as it's available in their area. There haven't been any measles cases or outbreaks where we are so I'm not pushing people to check titers until there's a problem. Sucks we're at that stage though. I'm debating getting the HPV one myself after #2 gets here. My kids will get it. And the chicken pox one. Some chicken pox cases can be really bad.

@crazy3dogmom You should get TDaP as part of your standard prenatal care. They'll also recommend flu shot. You cannot get certain vaccinations while pregnant (MMR, for one) so likely not worth looking into until baby is here.
People who know more please feel free to correct me.

@crazy3dogmom Plan on flu shot and DTaP at least 2 weeks prior to delivery. As for checking for vaccines, you can have your titers drawn now, but you won’t be able to get the MMR or Chicken pox ones while pregnant. Your doctor may not even be able to give them to you, so you’ll need to check. DH’s PCP doesn’t give them and he had to go to the county health department for a MMR booster

@crazy3dogmom They’re already available here at the pharmacies. I got mine Wednesday. It’s earlier than I like, as I usually go at the end of Sept, but with the BPPs, I didn’t want to chance it being too late. Flu cases start popping up at the end of Sept so maybe that’s why it’s already here
The rest of my family gets them mid-October, daycare requires all teachers to get one, and work basically requires it, so I’m looking at herd immunity helping if flu season lasts forever again

We told my ILs that DH’s measles titers came back negative so we need his brother tested as well... MIL goes “well, maybe it’s because of your thyroid issues” 😒🙄 Lady, you have a PhD in Chemistry. You know vaccines don’t always take or can wear off. Fuck off with that nonsense. Just tell BIL to check and get it again if he needs to

@crazy3dogmom I asked family who will visit while baby is still new to get their flu shot as soon as it's available in their area. Hoping they stay on top of it. If the flu season is looking bad before they can get it, we might take some extra precautions if people fly to see us. H and I are debating.
