DS and I have had a busy day. Took him in this morning for a hair cut, which went really well and looks super adorable, then we made a few stops around town to pick up supplies for his birthday party this weekend. We made it home way past nap time, but he still managed to settle down and is still sleeping. I should really go wake him up so he'll sleep tonight, but I'm really enjoying my quite time...I'll wait just a while longer.

Thanks! Yes. Thanks to lots of youtube videos and DIY forums! what a wealth of information so we're confident it can be done and fortunately we didn't have to involve a structural engineer. I wanted to cry yesterday when we thought it could be a huge foundation issue and that would've put a big monkey wrench into our budget if that was the case. After figuring all that out last night, we concluded also as to why we're having major settling/heaving issues on our front porch. Another thing we'd have to fix down the road soon.   It really really pisses me off when contractors/builders use short cuts to do work.SaveSave

duskymonkey Thank you! He turns 2 on Wednesday, but we're having his party Sunday. I'm really looking forward to some cake.
Thank goodness for the internet! Bummer you discovered more things that need fixing though. At least you know now, rather than finding out later!

The last few days have been busy at work. There will only be 3 of us on the team coming in on Monday and there's still so much to do on this one task. Of course it's the developer with the least experience in the product. I really don't want to roll this task into our next two week sprint. It was already rolled over from our past sprint!

duskymonkey I am so impressed with your craftiness and your DH's handiness skills! No way could we deal with foundation issues, and I wish I could make ornaments/stockings/sew. Neither DH nor I are very good at that stuff, but I admire people who are.

Taitai , When there's a will there's a way! especially if it involves saving money. Don't even get me started on some of hubs projects or even mine for that matter..le sigh! sometimes it's a curse to know to do stuff and sometimes we utterly miserably fail! oh and there's youtube these days LOL!
