I report back to work for the new year tomorrow. All sorts of feels. I'm both looking forward to it, and dreading it.

Sooo cute Yogurt!!! I hope you have a great day tomorrow grover I go back Wednesday I’m dreading it 100% I think I’m just constantly stuck in a mom guilt cycle I’m trying not too. I’ve read a book... nothing’s allowing me to release my guilt lol I love staying home but I know I also go crazy sometimes and I’ve just been living in this *aw it’s only for three months* life. And I get so sad that kids grow so fast. Rambling sorry. I’m having the feels.

Hugs to everyone starting back to work today or soon. I've been back since mid-June, but while it was tough, it was easier knowing that DS was home with MH all day. DS starts daycare in 2 weeks and that is going to be hard. He's going to the same center where DD attends preschool, so it's easier in the sense that I know the directors and teachers and trust he will be well cared for, but it will still be hard. He's still so little!

In technically started back last Thursday, but I won’t be in the office until Monday and one or both of my kids will be at home with the nanny while I work.
N’s first full day at daycare was last week and she barely napped. I feel so bad, the girl loves her sleep. But her teacher is awesome, so I’m hoping she can help her nap longer. Her school actually had to evacuate last week and they pop 4 babies in a crib and roll them out. Her teacher managed to get all 4 to fall asleep for a nap outside while they waited for the all clear. I was amazed. I just tell myself how much she loves other babies and kids and is getting good social interaction. I miss her so much though. She’s so happy all the time.

So adorable Yogurt. Hugs to everyone going back to work. I've been back since July 1, but my H has been home so it's been easy. In Sept we start daycare and my early schedule (I'll work 7 to 4). I'm excited for more time in the evening, but getting up early is going to suuuuck.

So cute Yogurt! Good luck to everyone going back to work. I remember it being a hard transition with my first, but once we got used to it it went well. We are in the process of moving it has been crazy. We are out of our old house and living with my parents and moving into our new house next week. I will be looking for a new job when we get settled. I’m stressed about finding a job that is a good fit. My profession you don’t necessarily have to work 9-5 hours and my last job was super flexible. I was able to continue to breastfeed by setting up my schedule with breaks throughout the day. I’m worried I’ll have to pump this time and I don’t know how it will go. DD refuses bottles so much that I was worried something was wrong with my frozen milk.

DD is almost 5 months, and she hasn’t peed in 8 hours. She either is teething or had a cold (snotty and stuffy nose), but is otherwise fine. No fevers. She is eating normally.
Is this normal for her to go this long without urinating? If she still hasn’t peed by around 7am, I will call the Pedi. She’s never gone this long without peeing before, and I’m starting to worry.

Thank you bex15 and Eames! Everything is ok. DD had a wet diaper when she woke up at 6:30, so I didn’t call the Pedi. H just told me that he had gotten up with her at midnight and changed her, so she didn’t go that long without peeing!

Funny story not baby related other than N slept well last night. So I woke up at 3:30 because my boobs were full since she hasnt slept close to that long at night in 2 weeks. My son at some point got scared in his room. He must have quietly opened our door and climbed into our bed with a pillow and blanket and went to sleep in between my husband and I without waking us. I was very confused when I woke up I was trying to wake MH to see if He helped DS into our bed. I ended up carrying DS back to his room because my husband looked like he was about to fall off the bed. I asked DS this morning if he came into our room and went into our bed by himself. He said he did... My kids dont ever come into our bed at night, I am amazed I didn't wake up.

jewelsofthenile I can’t imagine the middle of the night confusion. My DD1 never gets out of bed, but for awhile was waking up about once a week crying. I’d go in, rub her back and sing a song and she’d go back to sleep. In the morning I’d ask how she slept, and she’d say good and go on as if nothing had happened at all.

Whyyyyyyy is daycare so expensive?! I decided to call around to see if we can save any $$ on daycare and my eyes are bugging out at these prices. $391/week for an infant?! I guess we are keeping the kids where they are. I know I live in a HCOLA area but my gosh.

Our daycare costs between the twins and DD will be $4,500 per month. It's insane. Thank god next fall we will get the "kindergarten raise" and the boys will get cheaper as they get older, too.

We pay $100/day at an in home. Soo $500/week = $2000 a month. A center would be close to 2.5x more.

We’ll get the kindergarten raise next year too. I keep telling myself that we will have more breathing room in a year and that we can make it.
