Oh man is the time ever flying by and this summer is going by so quickly! I cannot believe R will be 5 months this month. At her visit last week she was 26.4 inches and 14.7 lbs. She has been rolling both ways and pivots all around. She is very chatty and loves to nom on everything. She also loves grabbing and sucking her toes. She has so much drool. Anyone else?? I didn't remember my others being so drooly.

Wicket dd is drooling a ton too! Ds2 was like that as well. I canāt remember if ds1 did or not.

Dd turns 5 months on the 11th. Itās going so fast! Her little personality is coming out and itās so cute to watch. She can roll both ways but hasnāt rolled belly to back much. I want to transition her to the crib but I would feel more comfortable if she could roll off her belly easier.
Sheās also getting so good at grabbing what she wants. Of course it goes straight to her mouth so Iāve been constantly telling my boys that toys need to be picked up.

DS is one of the younger babies here and will only be 4 months on the 12th. He canāt roll, but heās interested in the hanging toys on his playmat and he can pick his head up and look around while on his tummy.
We are still trying to get to the root of his spit-up issues and have landed on a potential dairy intolerance, so heās now on soy formula for the time being. We plan to try regular formula again once heās about 6 months.
He also starts daycare this month, but not until the 26th. Three more weeks!
Oh, and yes to the drool. Heās been drooling for about a month. I remember DD drooling a lot around this time too and we thought it was teething (it was not.)

Wicket Very drooly baby here too. DD1 was not like that and I remember wondering why the drool bibs were so popular. And now Iām like āoooooh thatās why.ā @ges072115 Weāre also on a special formula - the alimentum or something. It smells horrible and costs SO much. Iām going to keep trying the milk-based one every so often so hopefully we can switch back. But, she doesnāt have huge spit ups anymore, so I guess the money flying out the window is worth it.

DD2 will be 4 months in a weekish and starts daycare this coming week. Iām sooo not ready to be away from her so long. She just started rolling from belly to back and is trying hard to roll back to belly. Sheās so happy and chatty and has been doing great with bottles. Sheās able to grab her hanging animals on her play mat.
Tonight will be my first attempt at having her upstairs in her crib overnight. I need her out of my closet so I can shower in the mornings before work without waking her up.
And for me, I started PT and am already seeing a little progress. Iām so glad I finally committed and am getting help.

M will be 5 months on the 14th, I really canāt believe how quickly itās going especially since going back to work. He can roll both ways but doesnāt do it as often as he was about a month ago. He loves to laugh and talk, grab everything in sight and is getting pretty good at sitting up with some assistance. Always has his hands in his mouth but wonāt use any teethers. Such a fun, sweet boy!

jacks we were on Alimentum too - so expensive! It really made a huge difference tho. But MH picked up some Soy Isomil (also Similac) to try. Itās much less expensive and so far seems to work at least as well as the Alimentum so weāre going to continue with it. Maybe thatās an option for your DD?

haleyscott ugh the toy pick up! It was easier when dd2 was born bc my first was younger and they only had toddler sized toys but now they have little toys for dolls or legos. I think I may need to have a little corner seperated off for just the baby

+ whatever to all the drool! No teeth yet. DD will be 4.5 months old tomorrow. I say this all the time, but time is flying by so fast. Sheās so happy and smiley, and her giggle is the cutest thing!
She has the physical ability to roll over, but she hasnāt yet...ever! She rolls onto her sides and just stays there and then back to her back. Iāve rolled her over from belly to back a couple times, and she just cries.
She basically has total control of her head. She has eaten sweet potatoes so far, and is not a fan. Weāre going to make applesauce tomorrow and try that. We had to start supplementing with formula a few days before she turned 4 months, and that is going well. Iām still pumping at work though. Some sessions I only get 2oz and done I get 4.5oz. I typically get 3-4oz. She is eating 5-5.5oz at each feeding every 4 hours.
Sheās sleeping in her cradle in our room. I want to wait until she can roll over both ways by herself before she sleeps in her crib in her nursery. At this point, I think Iāll be waiting forever LOL!

H will be 6mo at the end of the month š² he's rolling and scooting all over the place, and is so drooly too!! E never was, it's so gross š We still have 1-2 wake ups but I won't start sleep training until 6 months. He's finally started napping better too, he'll take a 30 minute cat nap in the morning and a solid 1.5-2 hr afternoon nap. Haven't started solids yet either, probably will in a few weeks.

I rearranged our playroom/family room to have those toys away from where I have dd too. š¤¦š»āāļø

We have the boys in their own room. They just turned 5 months. No more swaddles or pacifiers at night. We sleep trained using graduated extinction and one didn't cry at all and the other only 22 minutes the first night. So they go down easy now, but they don't stay that way...
We still have 1-2 wakeups per baby at night where we feed. Maybe at the 6 month visit we'll ask about night weaning. They do fall back asleep quickly after a feed, but we are just so so tired. I've never felt exhaustion like this.
I felt like DD started sleeping better once she was eating foods with protein and fiber. We'll start foods at 6 months if not sooner. They are VERY interested in our plates and grab for stuff.
Mine are also super drooly, no teeth yet though. I keep thinking they must be right around the corner. DD got her bottom teeth at 4.5 months.
I am still EPing for them. I do one pump at night when they wake, then every 3 to 4 hours during the day. Usually about 6 pumps per day and I get about 8 to 11 oz per session. I feel like a damn dairy cow sometimes, but I'm cheap. š
My supply is hovering right at their needs. I have a pretty good freezer stash (300 oz or so) we've dipped into just a little bit. My next goal is 6 months, then I feel like over 6 to 12 months they start drinking less as they get more and more food. By age 1, DD was on 3 solid "meals" a day. At her first birthday, I remember she had bean dip, rice, soft cooked veg, shredded cheese, etc. (We had a taco themed party.)

So N just turned 4 months saturday. and she started really rolling both ways this weekend. She super smiley and content most of the time. She isnt super drooly yet but she on the younger side so there is time. It seems like when she isnt on her back drool is starting to happen.
She was sleeping ok 2 wake up a night at most sometimes sleeping through. Since friday night she has been up 4 or 5 times each night....I really have no idea what the issue is. She seems content to sleep on me but not in her crib. It so weird because she goes to sleep on her own at bedtime which my older kids never did at this age but some how by 2 am she wont sleep anywhere but on me. I hope sleep goes back to what it was soonš“š“š“
Time has been flying. I am working extra hours right now because we are behind and it has been very busy. N is getting only breastmilk still. She is definately interested in food and makes chewing movements with her mouth when she sits on me at the table. I will wait until six months for food just because just getting bottles ready is easier than bottles and babyfood every morning.

jewelsofthenile, I hope you get more sleep soon. Maybe 4 month sleep regression? Even if your older ones didn't have it, I think there's a lot of growth in mind and body happening now. (Plus it helps me to think of everything as just a phase or I wouldn't survive! š)

Does anyone know where Tlex is? I've not "seen" her around and wondering how she's doing with the new job, 3 kids, etc.

Iāve got a drooler over here, too. Max is rolling from back to front, but canāt get from front to back yet. Which is super fun bc he rolls and then flips his shit until someone rolls him back over. Ad nauseam.
I think heās teething, too - his hands are constantly in his mouth and it looks like there are 2 little dents in his gums on the bottom.
I bitched about his lack of sleep in the other thread, but when heās awake, heās generally super happy, smiley, giggling. Heās gigantic (90-95th percentile in everything) and weāre pulling out his 6 month clothing. Guess someone has to be the big kid in class š„“ Hopefully he chills out though, I bought a bunch of fall stuff that heās not going to fit into if he keeps this up.

guys, there are people posting in the 2020 March/April board! can't believe how fast time goes after babies are born!! I thought about this the other day. Aug 1 was my one year āanniversaryā with my baby since that was embryo implant day. Then we went to the beach and on day 2 at the beach the sickness hit. And didnāt ease up until March. Good times. Today was Nās first full day at school. She barely napped and came home and took 2 long naps. I had to wake her from a dead sleep to get her ready for bed and eat. Poor girl loves her sleep....in a dark, quiet room.

I definitely knew before school started, because I told my principals a week or so before the school year when I went in to set up my room.
