Happy Tuesday all! It was so nice having an extra day off, especially because we had a really chill weekend, I actually feel relaxed and rested. Despite the potty training stress. However, Jojo is showing progress! Last night she was sitting on my lap colouring, stands up abruptly, walks over to the potty, sits, poops, gets up and tries to come back to my lap while I'm yelling "WIPE!" And she acts like it ain't no thang. This morning she started to pee a bit on the floor, stopped and went to the potty to finish. So it's a work in progress and I need to find some pants/shorts that she is capable of pulling down over her chunky butt and thighs, but we're actually getting somewhere And yes, it's consuming a lot of my thoughts right now, haha.

blabbermouth, I am super impressed. We didn't even think about PT with DD1 until 3, and she wasn't ready until closer to to 3.5. My friend's kid the same age was PT by 2. It varies so much! I think DD2 shows more signs of readiness than DD1 ever did. It still isn't on my radar, but she at least seems bothered when she poops her diaper, and she is aware of it. DD1 was never fazed and was therefore very unmotivated to use the toilet. LOL yesterday DD2 yelled at me: "MOMMY! CHEET!" Me: wut C: "MOMMY! STINK!" *grunts* Me: Oh. Stink. (She was about to poop.)

I hate the lawyer we're using for the new house. HATE.
We should be closing tomorrow evening though and even though I accepted a teaching position, I got ropadoped and I'm feeling very extra in a lot of ways about it. I just scooped up another interview elsewhere because I'm an asshole or something.
It's 2pm and I have yet to eat today and I'm fighting the urge to drink lots of wine right now.

Once we're settled in the new house though it'll be game on.

I don't know how you haven't eaten by 2 pm, I would be hangry.

After I was hired they handed me 30 robots and told me I was teaching coding and robotics. I'm... not happy about it.

I think DS1 was almost 3 when he got trained. I let daycare do most of the work, honestly. Once they had him going regularly I took a weekend and finished up. But I will take the victory. I assume we will do about the same for N, so another year. I DNW another year in diapers but I am definitely going to wait until I know for sure he is ready. However, (hopefully!) it might be sooner since he is already telling me when he has to poop or when he has pooped. He grabs his butt and says "poooop". Kid barely talks but knows poop. Awesome.

Once we're settled in the new house though it'll be game on. She was showing signs of being ready so I thought I'd just try it while I had a window where she might be interested before she learns to be too bratty She was hiding to poop, staying dry for naps, one morning woke up and said 'daddy! pee! potty!' and he put her on it and she peed (probably coincidence) etc. She stayed dry (even though I put her in a pull up) for all of our short outings this weekend too! It'll probably take a little bit longer than if she was older, but we'll keep working on it and be happy to save the money and avoid the grossness of diapers. My daycare is pretty easy going so they seemed on board enough for me.

That is pretty impressive! DD didn't really seem to care when she pooped in her diaper, but she is happily pooping on the potty and that can be the harder one I've heard. I think she just gets more warning than with pee.

(by the way, how are you???) Dh is the computer guy I'm good! Having the two kids home, actually taking care of myself, and doing book sales has taken up all of my fart around on the internet time 😂 I finally went to a primary care doc and am on medicine for my high BP. It's back to 110-120/70-80 with the help of the medicine. I have been doing 20 minutes on the elliptical for the past two weeks to help my heart. I'm finally in a routine and am feeling good about it. Ds1 has been doing well with therapy and is starting Pre-K in a couple weeks. He's been reading for a couple months and has been more open to writing/drawing. I think he is going to love school. It's a small private school that actually goes up to high school. He won't have more than 10 kids in his class. He still has challenging moments but life is so much better than it was. Ds2 is still a monster. He is a huge snuggly lovebug but he runs faster than several of our neighborhood preschoolers. No where near potty training ready. I'm hoping to start him for a couple mornings a week at a daycare once ds1 gets used to school. He's a chatterbox just like his brother. It is never quiet in my house. I try to pop in every so often. Hope everyone is doing well ❤️ I cannot believe these kids are going to be two soon!! 😭

Well I'm glad I called you out anyway grumpycat! Sounds like your DS1 is doing great! Two kids all day takes up a lot of time I'm sure. I think I'm thinking of the teacher from Canada, totally drawing a blank on her name, anyone?

We were camping Sat-Tues, and it went really well. We rented a trailer/cabin thing, so that made it way easier than “real” camping. E slept great in the pack n play which was my biggest worry about going away. My H is home the whole week, so we’re jusf hanging out and staying local today and tomorrow. Then, Friday E is going to my friend’s house while H and I go to a winery we love down in CT. I’m so excited for a day date.

Ohhh I remember that now cnf, I think you may have mentioned it on GD. That is absolutely insane. Yes, I begged for help on GD and wrote every single suggestion into my planner. But I do have another interview Friday for an actual health job at a different district so if I get it I'll probably bail on the tech job district.

Potty training??!?!
I'm just working on DD1 and she turns 3 in October. DD2 says "pee" but when you stick her on the potty she demands a book and then does nothing.
