It's so crazy how fast time is going.
I ordered my first thing for new baby. A new mattress for the PNP since ours has gone through 2 kids and the mattress was no longer completely flat. We don't need to get much for this one since this is baby #3. I do plan on getting a baby swing when our registry completion code is here. I know I could change the date to make it sooner, but we are in no rush.

July! good grief. I think I want to get a carrier again. My first hated being worn, but maybe this babe will like it? ha! I don't even know where to start. Seven years ago people were all about Ergo and K'tan. Are those still considered good?

Ken Adams, I obviously haven’t got too much experience but friends have all highly recommended the Moby wrap so I’ve got high hopes LO likes being attached to me so I can get things done!

I’m curious, when did you guys start to be able to feel head, feet, elbow, etc through your belly in your previous pregnancies? I’m feeling lots of movement, I see my belly squash and stretch as he moves, but I can’t feel him when I press on my belly. Just curious for some anecdotes!

Ken Adams yes! When I had my youngest almost 4 years ago, I had both and loved them both. I sold my Ergo because I figured we were done but kept the K'tan, thankfully, at least. They're both great carriers!

peggyhill, I feel like you can't really make out what is what until you're at the end. Even then you'll have a pointy part and it will be a "is this a knee? a head?" randomosity, that's good to know! I may go for an Ergo this time. I see there's tons of new things I've never heard of and they're super expensive. haha

Seven years ago people were all about Ergo and K'tan. Are those still considered good? I think those are both considered good brands. I have a lillebaby carrier and boba wrap. The lillebaby is my fav though and so easy. I have the airflow which is what was recommended to me for living in a hot climate and I liked that they had the forward facing position. I’d love to get a solly baby wrap because I hear those are light and somewhat affordable, but we shall see. I also want a ring sling but I doubt it’ll happen. Sad face.

It had too much fabric and I felt like I spent way too much time wrapping it.

And, yeah, I can't tell body parts very easily, either. This baby is flipping all over the place so I think I keep feeling her knee under my rib cage but it might also be a heel or an elbow?? They have so many pointy parts 😂

peggyhill at 26.5 weeks I can occasionally feel baby limbs that are definitely not a head but I don't know beyond that. I like the ktan for the newborn stage and the ergo 360 afterwards especially since you can forward face with the 360. My second loved facing out. I tried the Moby, but I'm really not coordinated enough to get it wrapped right. It provides a similar end result as the Ktan, but I thought the Ktan was alot less work.

Well, I failed my one hour glucose test. I got 174, the high end of the reference range is 139. My doctor isn’t in until Monday I’m sure, so I guess I just get to freak out for the next few days. 🤦🏼♀️

Well, I failed my one hour glucose test. I got 174, the high end of the reference range is 139. My doctor isn’t in until Monday I’m sure, so I guess I just get to freak out for the next few days. 🤦🏼♀️ Try not to freak out too much. The idea is that a lot of women will fail the first test (in an attempt to catch as many GD women as possible). They then go on to pass the 3 hour as it is a more controlled test over a longer period of time. If you do end up with GD, try not to to worry. It isn’t the most fun thing in the world but it is mainly just about diet changes and eating on a regular basis. We are here for you!

peggyhill If it makes you feel better, I failed the 1-hr but passed the 3-hr with my son. Like cateyes said, a LOT of women fail the 1-hour, so don't fret!

Thank you for the reminder that I need to book my GD test 😬 I need to do it next week but kept forgetting to book so now I’m going to be stuck with whatever times are left! Hopefully I can at least leave my kids with my mom because bringing DS along would suck

I am off for the summer now and focused on packing! We will be fully moved 3 weeks from yesterday (we will start moving stuff the evenings of that previous week but official moving day is the 27th), so exciting but also yikes 😬 I want to take the time to go through and purge stuff not just pack which is why I started already. My mom is coming over 2 days this week and 2 next week to help me. We are going to do all the bathroom cupboards and everyone’s closets and stuff. Hopefully the weather improves so we can throw the kids in the backyard for some exercise each day, it is currently pouring. Again.

peggyhill. Same as others have said, last pregnancy I failed the 1 hr and passed the 3 hour. I felt icky maybe two hours into the 3 hr but what saved me was eating a protein bar as soon as I got out to the car after. I would definitely have a filling snack with you that you can eat as soon as you finish and water to hydrate. I was tired the rest of the day but nothing major.

I think that last hour I kinda felt a little gross but it wasn’t a big deal and then right after I had a peanut butter sandwich waiting for me in the car.
