We are skipping rice cereal with DS. We're not anywhere near ready to try solids, but the rice cereal constipated DD. We then tried oatmeal, which was fine. Then we did veggies and fruits, but not in any particular sort of order. We'll probably start him on oatmeal first once we get there.

We won't do any rice cereals/etc and we didn't with E either. I never saw the value in it and our pedi says there's no reason to unless we just want to so we skip it. And we start with meats (also per our pedis suggestion) because he says they have a weirder taste and it's easier to start with the grosser stuff and then introduce the sweeter things like fruit last, so he eats it all, lol. Eames our pedi did say at our 4mo appt that we could introduce PB, by having him lick it, anytime now because they suggest you introduce earlier now. I haven't yet because I never think about it.

We will also wait until after 6 months and able to sit on her own. I have skipped cereals with all my girls and start with avocado, mushed and cut to see how they do with it at first. For meats etc like chicken I found shredding in the mixer works well and small cubes of tofu are nice and soft

We started DD on puréed food 6 days ago. She’s 4 months. Our Pedi said to start with orange/yellow foods, so we got some organic sweet potatoes. DD doesn’t seem interested in foods, and even after several days with the sweet potatoes still doesn’t really have any interest. H and I have decided to wait a couple weeks before we try another food.
We are skipping cereal. Our Pedi said we could do it or not, so we won’t. They said we can start green foods at 5 months and I think meats at 6/7 months.

DD's birthday party weekend is over. What a crazy day. We've had out of town family staying with us the past two weekends and it's draining. DD and I are home Thursday & Friday of this week and I'm looking forward to a nice, quiet 4-day weekend with just the 4 of us.

Does anyone have bottles that they really like? The ones I used with DD1 aren’t made anymore and I am thinking about switching to something different. Surely something better has come out in 4 years?

jacks, we are back to the Medela bottles. We tried both Phillips Avent and Tommee Tippee, but the nipples were too big for DS's mouth and he was taking in too much air.

jacks , we use Tommee Tippee. Just make sure the vent in the nipple is by their nose not chin when using. Poor little L. Had no outward signs of an ear infection, until he woke up screaming late late Sunday into Monday morning. Found out yesterday he had an ear infection that ruptured the drum. My poor babe (He's had 2 doses of antibiotics and every 4 hour tylenol and is pretty happy today despite).

Poor baby, grover! Glad he’s feeling better now. DD2 took her bottle today! I’m still not sure about the actual formula. She is spitting up a lot about 1 hour after eating.

Ds2 liked Tommee tippee. Dd will usually take one of those but sometimes she refuses. I got a Boob nursh bottle from amazon in the welcome box and she likes that one!

Holy postpartum hair loss, batman... anyone else? This sucks! Me too! My hair is everywhere! I need help! I'm not pretty sure if it's linked to hormonal changes coz I've already stopped even bf. But my hair situation is worse comparing the time when I was pregnant. What do you girls do? How you care about your hair? I found supplements for hair and nails on Canadian Pharmacy Online. What do you think about taking supps? Can they help with hair loss?
