I had an appt this morning and she offered an induction at 39 weeks. I declined and am a little annoyed that they would induce for no real reason, am I missing something? I was induced at 41 weeks with DS... but I feel like those 2 weeks make a huge difference. Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally ready to be done and would love to just have things scheduled...

It's kind of weird to induce at 39 weeks for no medical reason.

I have 11 days left until my csection and I'm so done. The nerve pain in my leg is so bad it's to the point I can't stand more than 5 minutes. And my carpal tunnel is getting bad enough I can't hold a pen half the time.
And yet, I'm trying to savor my last week and a half of not having a newborn yet lol.

I would rather deal with the newborn stage than the last few weeks of pregnancy! Yes it sucks getting no sleep but at least I'm not peeing constantly and in constant pain and I have my body back. You're so close to the end! I hope it goes by quickly for you. I know nerve pain and carpal tunnel are no joke.

The doctor that all the local women go to out here induces at 38 weeks. All the time.
That's one of the many reasons we doctor in the city. He also gets about 90% of their due dates wrong. Up to 6 weeks off.
People wonder why on earth we drive all that way...

I'm just getting over my feels about 'cheating' the end of pregnancy this time. I'd much rather have kept him in a few more weeks. But DHs cousin who was due the day before me just had her baby, at 41 +1 And im over here like... Yeah I'm kinda glad I got to skip over the last bit. But then I feel guilty.
Newborn > million weeks pregnant.

This morning my mother asked if I had a wheelbarrow to haul my belly around in and a coworker said she wishes she could just carry me around because I look so uncomfortable. I feel like I'm too huge to be allowed in public and am wondering if that's a good excuse to just work from home for the rest of my pregnancy.

I would hope that he does 36 week scans and would catch that, but in the situation I know of she went into labor at 37 weeks, thinking she was 32 or so. So it was a surprise. I have no idea how they were so incredibly off, I believe there was a LMP confusion, but you would think an ultrasound would correct that. They just kept telling her she had a giant baby.

Thanks for asking:)I lurk your board constantly. I'm good! 16 days to go. It can't really go by fast enough. I don't think I'll relax until baby is actually here safely but things are good so far. How are you all doing? How has your DD adjusted to having a baby brother?

My shoe options are pretty limited so I decided to get a pedicure over my lunch hour so at least my toes can look pretty in sandals and hopefully distract from the giant ankles. I'd been avoiding them for fear it would trigger labor - but considering the baby is already measuring over 7 lbs, I think that confirms that my due date is sooner rather than later, as I suspected, and since I've already been having random contractions...why not make sure my toes look good for delivery?

Girl I got a pedicure last week and I'm going this week again before delivery lol. I think I read they have to actually be educated on a certain point to massage and it has to be deep for it to maybe do anything. I sit on your bench with the ankle thing. Good lord it's shocking to look down sometimes lol.

Well, I tried to avoid the induction thing but my blood pressure today had different plans and I’m currently sitting in the hospital in labor.

We’re still in the hospital because of jaundice. His levels are good now though so we’re just waiting on the pediatrician to make their rounds. I’m amazed at how well he did on the lights last night compared to when DS was on them. He slept really well and gave us some good stretches so I’m hopeful that maybe he shares my love of sleep.

That beautiful baby will be in your arms before you know it. ❤❤ That was the one good thing about preemies, I guess-my waiting time at the end was shortened. Big sister is great, she loves little brother so much. Almost 4 is a hard ahe though. She's a nut. Little boy is 3 months old and all chubby and delicious. I'll be stalking you!! 😘

I definitely blocked out the new newborn phase where they are either latched on ripping my nipples off or crying... no in between and no letting me put her down. How do you care for your other children??

Congratulations lolacachia! I still can't put DS2 down, but it is better than in the beginning. I make sure to still read to the kids every night (even while hold or nursing the baby), and get DH to hold the baby some so I can still give the other 2 my full attention some. It is still hard to give them as much attention, but it will get better.

Congrats lolacachia! Juggling 2 is hard! We have mil here to help for now but it is still hard to make sure I’m getting time with the big kid in between feeds. He has been great about it for the most part though.
