Ok. I'll come up with something tonight and start posting it tomorrow. I'll try not to be super awkward about it. lol.
If anyone participates in a BMB and wants to post, please do. It will probably come off better coming from someone they know.

TTMA road trips with newly PTed kiddos. We were going to take 4th of July and make a nice long weekend to start the Oh Crap method with DS. I know he’s capable of it at this point. But DH wants to take him on a 4 hr trip to go hiking with BIL a week or two later. Terrible idea?

How does one know if your kid is ready to be potty trained?

If you want him to still get the feel of peeing himself while wearing a pull up (so he recognizes it), we did underwear under a pull up for a while in the car/on the bus

How does one know if your kid is ready to be potty trained? They stop fighting the toilet, want to use it, and are able to tell you as they were going. We tried a few times with DS1, always failed. Finally, one day, he went “I want to wear underwear” and he trained that weekend. He night trained himself about 4-5 weeks ago 🤷🏼♀️

Maybe nature and being with the "big boys" will help.

Do your kids poop on a regular-ish schedule? My kid is so sporadic with his pooping. Sometimes he'll go two days without pooping and sometimes he'll poop 2+ times in a day.

Mine likes to poop at the most inconvenient times so I guess that's a schedule of sorts. There was a period of time recently where he would poop every single time we went out to this restaurant near us and not just a little poop but like massive, needing a million wipes and a full outfit change amount of poop, and I was so traumatized that I refused to go to that restaurant for a while.

Thanks for the encouragement! He loves being nude, so he'll enjoy that part of PT. He loves his potty. He always tells us when he has to poop and has started going to the corner to do it. He will usually tell us when he pees/has peed and is ready to get out of the pee diaper. If it goes horribly, we'll probably wait a few months to try again. He transitions to the Twos classroom soon, and I don't want to throw too much at him at once.

Not for us. Nap/bedtime training was left out. We focused on awake time training. He now wakes himself when he needs to pee. Perks of him failing to pull up his pull up after masturbating, I guess 🤷🏼♀️ (he doesn’t like being wet and got very upset he wet the bed so somehow figured out how to train himself)

Hi! I lurk but only rarely post. I’m awful at time management skills for message boards.
I have no suggestions for PT training or sleep (the bane of my existence) but funny story. My nanny is trying to potty train DS (21mo) and he does it really well some days, other days he’s like nope not interested. We don’t push it. Whatever. Tonight I’m at work and DH told me that DS made him go to his potty four times so he could sit on it and fart LOL. he pooped in the tub yesterday and was like OH NO / UHOH! so dh said during the bath today he made him take him out to go to the potty... just for farts. LOL. I think he didn’t trust his farts 🤣

But it was gamble because sometimes it was really poop. The best was when she sat there farting and kept saying excuse me over and over. I had to explain to her while trying not to laugh, that you don't need to say excuse me when you are in the bathroom as it's a safe zone for farts.

Hi Ladies, I’ll join you if you don’t mind! I have two DDs, 4, (S14) and 1 (A17)( heeeyyyyy @starzia and addymac) My job has been in limbo like a year and we finally got notice last week of the layoff so I need to figure out what’s next. Childcare is an issue and I had amazing flexibility in this job (32 hours and 1 work from home day) that I know won’t be easy to find and daycare is not an option due to cost so I’m stressed but it will all be fine right??!! 😬 I go back and forth of yay being home this summer and yikes I’m already exhausted at the thought. Kids are busy....

jt2378 welcome! Man that sucks about the job. Were they able to give you a time window when the layoff goes into effect? Can you find a work from home situation? Man I'd be stressed to. Even if you could swing daycare everything is probably filling up for the fall anyways. I hope it all works out. These things tend to, but it's no fun going through them at the time.

Thanks, yes we have 30 days notice and then vacation payout and 8 weeks severance so not terrible but we are just getting by financially with me working so I’ll have to be working sooner than later. I’m sure it will all work out like you said but stressful AF when you are in it.

Is there a 2 year old annual doctor’s visit? I didn’t get a reminder from DD’s pediatrician.

Is there a 2 year old annual doctor’s visit? I didn’t get a reminder from DD’s pediatrician. We started annuals then so 2 and then not again until 3. We had a brief visit at 2.5 for flu shots because of how the school year fell. I'd call. I had to call for her 3 year appointment.
