I have my first full week of work coming up. I was exhausted doing a half week last week. So hoping I can power though somehow. Good luck Ges! Good luck! I was definitely not prepared for how exhausted I felt. I hope you have an easy week!

I have now been here for 2 hours and still don't have access to any emails or my system. It's hilarious. I work at a large company and because of clearance issues, they disabled my entire account while I was on leave.
I should just go home to snuggle my baby and come back tomorrow when it's fixed.

I go back to work tomorrow waaaaaah. I’m terrified to see my email inbox. I am doing like, 8 loads of laundry today so absolutely everything is clean. Good luck today!

M started at the daycare’s closer temporary location today. I definitely don’t love the setup, it’s just one open room, the infants are sectioned off by a small wall thing but other than that pretty much kids everywhere.

That happened to me with my first. Talk about making me feel like why do I even need to be here. Last time I came in and logged a couple times so I wasnt deactivated and this time I brought my computer home and logged in to keep my account active. It was a pain but somewhat worth it to not have to sit around the first day waiting to be able to do anything.

I keep reading another forum’s currently pregnant board and I’m longing to be pregnant again. Someone needs to punch me directly in the face. No, I do not need to be knocked up again right now. My baby doesn’t even sleep through the night! The fuck, hormones. My pregnancy sucked. Labor sucked. I need a good 2 years before I jump on that rodeo again.

I am absolutely content with 2 girls. But as I’m snuggling my sweet baby today as she fell asleep, I thought to myself... yeah, maybe I should have a third so I can do this again. I need my kids to meltdown simultaneously so I can have a reality check 😂

Hoping everyone is having a good transition back to work.
I have a bit longer, but I’m already freaking out. I hate having to go back. Some days I like my job, but those days have become further and further apart as my job responsibilities change. This baby is such a dream that I just want to spend every second with her. Not saying my first wasn’t a dream baby, it’s just that now I know how fast it goes by. Please don’t make me go back.
Would it be wrong to negotiate a third child with H based on my employment plans??

My daughter turns 5 on Sunday. My son was born in July so this week I had to get 3 to 6 month clothes out for N. She is getting so big. It is weird to have baby that isn't a newborn in the summer. Work is ok...brightside I dont need to come up with crafts to do with oldest... the amount projects she could make in a day and the mess was constant. I miss maternity leave but not that. haha.

I go back July 1 and I alternate being excited and dreading it. It's funny because with my DD, I was already thinking about baby 2 but this time around, we are so SO done, haha.
We toured a new daycare this morning even though they don't take kids until age 15 months, so we got on the list for 2020. It's a really beautiful new place with lots of natural light, etc. So they would start like a year from now!
Best part is, they pickup from the elementary school for aftercare, so DD could go to since she will be in kindergarten next year! One pickup location, the best!

Eames, that's so great about the daycare! We had a spot for DS reserved at a home daycare that DD went to until she turned 2, and then our current daycare approached MH and offered to work with us on tuition for him and we were like, yep! The price difference was so minimal and it's going to be so much better to just have one pickup! Oh and +1 for being SO done having babies, but it's funny how postpartum hormones and adorable baby snuggles make us forget the worst parts of pregnancy. I know my pregnancy with DS sucked so much, but I'm remembering less and less of the sickness as the weeks pass. Ha!

We’re slowly putting away the 0-3 stuff and pulling out the 3 and 6 month stuff. I’m slightly irritated though, we have so many Carter’s 3 month onesies that are already tight.

Good luck to everyone going back to work. I won’t be going back for a few months as we are moving so I decided not to go back for the month after my maternity leave before we move. But I will have to find a new job once we move and am so stressed about finding something that will be a good fit with the kids. My field often requires late nights or weekends or the trade of is bad pay and I am not sure what to do. I also just don’t want to job search and interview.
We are already moving to 3-6 month clothes and he is only 2.5 months. He is growing so fast. DD was the opposite and would stay in a size longer. I’m so bummed cuz he only wore a lot of his 0-3 month clothes (not sleepers) once if at all. It makes me feel guilty so I try to stuff him in them an extra time my H thinks I’m nuts. But my mom buys a lot of his clothes so I feel bad wasting her money.

Anyone giving your baby Zantac? DS’s spit up is getting progressively worse so the pedi is calling in a prescription for him and I’m wondering how it has worked for others?

I don’t think it’s working, but I also don’t know if he truly has reflux. M is a loud ass sleeper who hates being laid flat and he does spit up after each feeding so the pedi suggested it. But he’s also super gassy (even with pace feeding and giving up dairy) and takes days to poop so who the hell knows at this point. M does like the medicine though, it’s minty and he smacks his lips happily after.

Does anyone use a soy based or non dairy formula? M is still struggling with tons of gas and he just went 72 hours without pooping. My supply is dwindling (I used to pump 35-37 ounces a day - I’m down to like, 12-15 ounces 😭) so I’m breaking into my freezer stash and looking into a different formula. We were supplementing with Enfamil Gentlease but the iron in it also made his poop dark green and (tmi) super thick. My poor baby is just constantly struggling and his belly is so distended that his belly button sticks straight out. No amount of bicycle legs or warm baths help. He’s definitely trying to poop it out too, he strains like crazy and turns all red.

IDK if DS actually has reflux either, but he's still only barely on the growth chart and is sometimes spitting up 1-2 hours after his feedings end. Yesterday MH said he didn't spit up at all for the first few bottles after getting the medicine in the morning, but started spitting up later in the day. Then last night I gave him his dosage 20 min before his bottle, he ate half, then burped and spit up all over himself and then proceeded to scream bloody murder for at least 5 minutes straight. But, after he calmed back down, he ate the rest of his bottle, burped without spitting up, and fell asleep. So, I don't know if things will improve. Our boys may just have to grow out of it.

The doctor put C on reflux medication. It was a generic name so not sure if it’s the same one. The doctor said to make sure he takes it at least 30 min before a feeding for it to be effective for that feeding, so may help to do medication a little earlier. C hates taking it so we have been bad about it giving it so hard to tell if it works.

lemondrop With DD1, I used Nutramigan. It smelled terrible, but she did well with it. I eventually switched to Baby’s Only formula.

My milk supply continues to drop and drop so unfortunately I think I’m ready to move to all formula. Since I do barely have anything, can I just stop nursing and let my supply dry up on its own or do I still need to do cabbage or something to help with that?

bex15, with DD I was barely getting any, and started only pumping 2x a day for like 5-10 mins. Did that for 2 or 3 days. Then I tried to do it only 1x a day for a few days, but the first day I tried I got nothing, so I just stopped at that point. No issues boob wise. (That said, I didn't nurse directly, was only pumping.)

When I stopped with DD1, I didn’t need to do anything. I was barely getting an ounce when I pumped. I’d say just stop, check for clots a couple times a day, and only pump for relief if you need it.

Since I do barely have anything, can I just stop nursing and let my supply dry up on its own or do I still need to do cabbage or something to help with that? I’m in the same boat - I’m barely getting 7-10oz a day, down from 35-40oz. I started skipping every other pump session, and now do one every 10-12 hours or so. I’ll start trying once every 18 hours in a day or two, and then hopefully a day or two of 24 hours and I’ll be done. I’m also using my pump stash before moving to formula (I have some 300oz saved). I talked to my pedi and he said that it might be better to stop doing every other bottle BM then formula, because it’s not letting Max’s stomach get used to the food he’s consuming. So I’ll use up the rest of the BM first and then I bought the nutramigen jacks suggested.

Wow @lemomdrop, that’s amazing that you have so much milk stored, I’m jealous!! I’m really wishing I would have pumped more early on when I had a good supply.
