Sorry for your loss, Grover M is doing well! He’s basically insatiable when it comes to eating (11x a day 😭). We’re working on the formula/ BM ratio. Anyone have an H with PPD? My poor H is so sweet and he’s trying so hard, but my god, sometimes I want to strangle him. He’s got like, no inside voice, so I feel like I’m constantly shhhhing him. Max is great at sleeping with noise during the day, but at night, he’s a disaster. My H decides that that’s the time to watch the TV at full volume, have all the lights on, change him while talking to him, etc. Constructive criticism exacerbates his PPD so I’m biting my tongue. Also, thanks to all for your advice last month on the job search. I decided to forego the offer. Turned out my MIL was going to CA to visit my SIL/ nephew this month, so she wouldn’t have been able to come watch Max anyway. Plus I just wasn’t jazzed about getting back into the industry and I want to stay home with him for another few weeks, so... not the right place and time for me.

Heh heh. Yeah I'm pretty sure after E the hair loss lasted for the better part of the year. I just chopped a few inches off last weekend and so it kind of feels like I'm losing less now 😂 but I bought a tub shroom last month because it's ridiculous. I have to clean it after every shower or the water doesn't drain during the next 😐 The better part of a year?!?!? I really will be bald 😱. I will see my stylist soon I guess. I remember seriously not believing everyone who told me it was normal to lose that much after E, 😂 SO. MUCH. HAIR. My hair thinned out a bit but I never got any bald spots, lol. This time I was just expecting it I guess so it wasn't as shocking. I just haaaaate brushing off and pulling hairs away all. day. long. If it would contain itself to showers and brushing that would be okay. I feel so gross just shedding everywhere I am, haha.

My 4 year old just got diagnosed with mono😫😫😫 anyone have a baby sized bubble to put R in. Praying he doesn’t get it. But I guess it seems it’s not the end of the world if he does. Doctor said keep them speedster as much as I can... ya. N is a miss mama to R 🤦♀️

With DD, the hair loss lasted about 3 or 4 months for me. Hasn't started yet this time.

nmom, our doc said the twins wouldn't get strep when DD (2 yo) and H had it a month ago. They and I avoided it! Maybe your little one will be lucky as well!

Ugh I just got confirmation that the temporary daycare location which was supposed to open on Monday won’t be ready for another week. The one I would have to go to is 30 minutes away in the opposite direction of work. I’m really hoping they will let me work a shorter schedule next week like 9-4 so M doesn’t have to be there super long hours.

Has anyone stopped swaddling? I keep getting nervous that M is going to roll in his sleep so I’m starting with one arm out tonight. How did it go? I dread the day I have to stop swaddling The current recommendation is to stop swaddling fully at 8 weeks (switching from any swaddle with the velcro to keep their arms down-whether the arms are in or out). The idea being they could roll over for the first time in the night and not have the strength to get back over.

Last night it was soo hard to get M to sleep without his arms being swaddled, like it took almost an hour and he was getting super worked up. Once he fell asleep he slept the best he ever has 10-5. I have a zippadee zip that I’m debating trying tonight or I might just stick it out as we’ve been doing, has anyone used that?

This is what happened to us earlier in the week, I got up to shower and M was still sleeping and swaddled, when I came to check he was face down and hadn’t shown signs of trying to roll before that. It wasn’t for long thank god but very scary.

I wish there was a newborn version because my tiny peanut is still barely 8 pounds despite eating very well, so still too small for it!

And after reading that terrifying tidbit I'm going to go unswaddle my 3 month old. Hold me.

I knew it was getting close to time but since he has t rolled her I was trying to hold on a little longer. Maybe since he's already sleeping it won't be a huge issue.

Started using love to dream swaddle around 4 months. She rolled back to belly late and super needed her arms to roll. She was also a terrible sleeper and the idea of no swaddle terrifies me. We eventually did it but it was hard. I didn’t realize the guidelines were so early. Not sure what I’ll do with C he just turned 8 weeks. I wasn’t planning on weening him from swaddle so soon. 😮

My DH doesn't have PPD but he did have a case of the I don't know what I'm doing but when you tell me what to do with the baby I think you are criticizing me as a parent itis when I had my DD. I found the best way to get him to do things was to send him articles to read. That way I could get my point across but it was more indirectly. This is a great sleep website www.preciouslittlesleep.com Maybe you can find something there to help get him to work on a bedtime routine.

DD still has a fever so I’m still in mono hell over here. 🤦♀️ DS has been looking at us and smiling a lot more so that’s melting my heart! So sweet.
DD never wanted her arms in the swaddle too much. DS is about 50/50 but I didn’t think that using the swaddle Velcro’d with arms out would be an issue. So I guess we’ll be mindful of that and work towards a sleep sack soon!

We have 2 Graco PNPs. M hates them both but I think it’s because the mat is so thin and he’s bougie 🤷🏼♀️

Does anyone have a pack n play recommendation? Also, to fly do you just buy tickets like normal and call to add the baby on? We got a Graco pack n play with all the attachments and really just use the basic bassinet attachment that makes it shorter. So it’s just thinking about that you would use. If it’s for travel I would recommend basic as it would be bulky to travel with all the attachments. My H just called to add baby to flights in the past. So if they don’t have something you can add them online just buy normal and call. I wish the airline we used had an online selection!

Honestly I’m ready to try anything, this kid hates sleep.

We bought a pack and play mattress. It’s the “dream on me 3 in playard mattress”. It fits in our basic graco pnp. It seems a lot more comfy than the thin mat.
