School’s out for summer! But it’s 54 degrees and raining, so it definitely doesn’t feel like summer break. I got stuck outside in the rain for 45 minutes during school dismissal, so I was soaked and skipped our last day celebration at a restaurant. I had E anyway, so it probably wasn’t a bad thing to just come home. Now I’m drinking coffee while she watches Puppy Dog Pals. 1.5 days for me! And tomorrow is our field day and of course it looks cool, cloudy, with a chance on rain. I actually had to turn on the heat AGAIN tonight. This is not right in June! 🤬

thatgolfb Did she love it?! I’m trying to decide which package and figure out what’s worth it. & Thank you for the ideas! I wish I could trust Gianna to entertain the babes without my supervision. My kids are SO crazy. Siena ended up with a black eye yesterday brawling with Gianna in their car seats!!! I need to put a wall between them.

We were given reservations since we’re staying at the Grand Californian, it opens to all park guests like the day after we leave. I imagine it’s really going to be a shit show that day!

N's newest things: 1. Saying "Ew". Not sure he knows what it means, though 2. When you ask him what a doggie says, he does not say "Woof" like we've been trying to teach him. He sticks his tongue out and starts panting. Nobody taught him this (pretty sure not at DC either), he just picked it up from when I point out dogs at the park. 3. Not letting me brush his hair in the morning. Some of H's not insane coworkers gave him tickets to the Nats game on Sunday, so we have plans for Father's Day now lol. It will be N's first game (on the outside). H is disappointed he's too young to do "Kids Run the Bases" after the game - they have to be 4-12 to participate. Oh well. We're supposed to go to a party on Saturday, but H has already offered to keep N at home so I can have a break and go myself, since I've been on N duty alone all week. I am VERY tempted to take him up on it. Have to make cookies for my dad's retirement surprise party next weekend. Can't wait to go home, my dad is going to be floored!

Hello! It’s my day off, it’s raining outside, and the boys are already going crazy. We made a pan of brownies for a fathers day picnic tomorrow. Also made 3 different types of roasted nuts. We’re giving them to my dad with a card that says “we’re nuts about dad/grandpa!”. And finally, we re-did a grilling platter that we had made for DH last year. It’s got both of the boys handprints in yellow/red/orange so it looks like fire. I didn’t cure it correctly so all of the paint just washed off. Hoping it works this time since it took be a full year to getting around to doing it again! We’ll have to get him something else too since redoing his gift from last year is a bit lame, maybe some fancy beers.

Day off with the kids. Have DS’s 18 mo appt and DD’s swimming. Contractor should be here any minute.
I expected my period when we were on our trip. Then FF moved my CHs and I agreed with it more. This AM it took them away completely. Sorry, I’ve never O’d as late as CD 35 FF, you are drunk. It’s only my third cycle with temp drop, so the temp range is still a little different. Guess I should wear white pants and it will probably show up! 😝

We’ve had a busy first day of summer break so far. I ran 3 miles this morning, and then we met up with some friends at the zoo. E was much more into the animals than the last time we went last summer. She was not I to the carousel, though. She wouldn’t let me put her on any of the horses, and still wasn’t thrilled when we sat on the bench. Hopefully she likes it better next time.

Field day was a success. I'm exhausted. N had his preschool "graduation" today. He's officially a kindergartener.

Have a great time at Disneyland belle0720! I'd love to stay at the Grand Californian one day, but it is just so so expensive (for us). bethkate, congrats on being done! Sorry you got soaked What's puppy dog pals? I feel like Jojo would like it. Strange E didn't like the carousel, next time probably she will paperbagliz, have a great date night, what's the plan? cakewench, dd does number 2 as well, it's pretty cute. She sometimes says woof, but it usually sounds more like boo? Haha. Also, please report back about taking a toddler to a baseball game, we're considering it sometime this summer. pootsen, I remember you talking about that platter from last year! Sounds like a good fathers day for all. I guess I should think of something for DH? He's happy with the art DD made at daycare. It sounds like no one is working today except for me!!! Enjoy your days off all. Rain or otherwise. ldubhawksfan, hopefully your period shows up at a reasonable time... you're not TTC are you? sarahandben108, congrats on having a kindergartener! It's Friday, hurray. Going to the consignment store to drop off a few things and see if they happen to have any shorts for dd. It's right next to an amazing bakery so I'll pick up some bread and a treat for this afternoon too. I'm looking forward to a family bbq on Sunday for Father's Day. DD loves her cousins and uncles/aunts.

blabbermouth, it’s on Disney. E specifically asks me to put it in tv by handing me the remote and saying “puppy.” I was surprised by her hesitation with the carousel. She even pouted and said “no” in a really sad way once it started moving.

Ugh, DC just called. N bit someone today. The other kid wasn't hurt and the providers dealt with it right away, and I know it's totally normal for this age, but I still feel terrible.

Happy Friday!
I’m at chemo with my mom right now. My SIL is babysitting S&P and my sister is babysitting G. It seems to be too much for anyone to handle all three at once so we split them up.
We have a busy weekend ahead. Retirement party tonight for my mom’s friend, tomorrow I’m setting up flowers for a wedding for my cousin’s company, and then H and I splitting up to take the girls to separate birthday parties.
For Father’s Day I think H might go to the movies with my dad and brother on Sunday while we prepare dinner. I haven’t even bought him a father’s day present yet but I’m thinking just a home depot gift card. What is everyone else doing?

We are going to the beach for father’s day. Nothing really for dh other than whatever cards they made at DC!
Earlier this week dh asked what he got me for mother’s day, “not even a massage?!” Ha, if you want me to get you something sweet, you have the opportunity to set the precedent!

I met with the director and nurse today as DS2's daycare. They had already put several measures in place and were receptive to my ideas. It was a good meeting so I'm feeling much more comfortable.
Eta- we were going to head up North but it's supposed to rain so we're staying home. I got H some bluetooth am/fm hearing protection ear phones for all the yard work he does.

Good morning! Tapatalk updated and now it wants me to give out "kins" Everytime I like a post- I have zero clue what a kin is-and they changed the order of like and quote so I keep Hitting the wrong one and it's making me angry! Also I need to vent. It's going to be to;dr. Ds2 moved up to a new classroom about a month ago. Since that time there has been 3 near-miss allergen exposures. The first one was a late snack granola bar. Typically the kitchen sends up a snack labeled for him if he can't have what everyone else had. The kitchen didn't realize he needed late snack since it was his first week in the new room and the old room didn't do late snacks. The teacher assumed since they didn't send a separate snack that he could have it, so she handed it to him, then realized it had dairy and took it away before he ate it. The solution, there is now a bunch of snacks labeled for him that stay in the classroom so they always give him one of those. The second, they handed him a cup of regular milk at drop off and thankfully I was there and questioned if it was soy and they grabbed it right away. The daycare has a nurse so I called her after the second incident and talked about how we could prevent this in the future, the teachers felt terrible and I know it was an honest mistake but it's also one that could have had serious consequences. I asked that he not get any milk at drop off since it's too chaotic but I know they do still give other kids milk right away when they come in, it's silly because breakfast is served 45 min later. Cut to today, I get a call that a float teacher was helping out, didn't know about his allergy and gave him a regular waffle. They don't know if he ate it because she can't remember if the one on his plate (that was untouched) was the first one or if she had given him a second one. I feel that unless they realized the mistake right away he probably ate one because he's not one to just sit and stare at food. The nurse came up to assess him (no reaction yet) and they called me to ask about what to watch for etc. I talked to the teacher and the nurse and basically said, something needs to change because this is 3 times in about 4 weeks. The good news is if he did eat it and had no reaction then maybe he will get cleared for "baked dairy." We follow up in July, but it would be really nice to know if he actually did eat it. In the meantime I am pissed. I told the nurse that obviously their policies and safeguards aren't being followed or aren't effective since literally 3 times in 4 weeks my kid has been almost exposed. The solution now is that on the table where he sits there will be a fixed place mat that says his name and see allergies. It's something, but I feel like my H and I need to go and sit down with the director, the nurse and his teachers- is that over the top? Nope. Unacceptable and I'd be going in to have words too. It's your child's life, it needs to be treated as such. It sounds like shear incompetence. Also, the tapa update killed me dead. Switching the quote and like button is killing me. I went into my settings and turned off the kin thing. I don't get it and it was super annoying.

Is the weekend over yet? tomorrow is my birthday and I get to spend it doing a 5 year old's birthday party. Sunday H is going golfing and then I'm working 3 nights in a row.
DD2 is so much fun right now. Her vocabulary is really taking off and (not to jinx it), she has slept through the night for 5 nights in a row. About time she got with the program.

It’s absolutely beautiful out this morning and I’m enjoying sitting on my screened in deck. I just cleaned a layer of green pollen off of everything and now relaxing. We don’t have too much planned today. I’m going to give N a haircut later and my H is going to look at portable fencing. We need to set something up so E stays in the backyard.

Happy birthday snuff9861Today we have a bday party to go to. Our house still smells like the hot mop tar put in our bathroom remodel yesterday. Unfortunately since he installed it Friday, it won’t be water tested until Monday and tiled until Tuesday. So dh and I slept in the spare room last night and probably until it’s tiled. I don’t know what’s up with my cycle and I’m like 10% nervous. TTA and last month was crazy before our trip, so I’m not even sure if there was even an “opportunity”. My chart is just confusing so I’m irritated at not knowing when to expect my period. CHs changed and then were removed.
