Hi friends! I miss everyone! I know with summer the boards always seem to slow down some, so I thought I would start a new thread so more of us are likely to see it and do a quick check in.
How is everyone? How is your J/F18'er? Does anyone have any fun summer plans?

Work is just ridiculous for me so I’m exhausted lately.
Ds2 definitely keeps me on my toes. He climbs everything which is so different from DS1. He’s also starting to make faces when he’s angry/frustrated.
No big summer plans here. H is taking a fire course s d it’s hus busy time of year at work so no real time to go anywhere.

I just started classes this week for my BSN and they are kicking my ass. I'm also 31 weeks pregnant so basically every day I wonder WTF I was thinking going back to school in the middle of popping out my 4th kid 🤣 J is wonderful, she is becoming more verbal every day. She is so stinking mischievous I can't help but laugh at her. She was sick this weekend and was more snuggly than usual but now she is back to her normal lil stinker self!

peachesncream, I may have missed it but are you having a girl or boy? I am 17w with another girl and the exhaustion has not let up yet. DD2 is 17 months now and still not walking. She cruises and will walk holding a hand but is too scare to walk unassisted. Soon I think. She also is the boss of the house. She pretty much gets her way all the time so I think the new baby is going to be a rude awakening for her. Big sis is excited for the baby though. Let me find some pics to post from our trip to TN over Memorial Day weekend Terrified on the carousel at Dollywood last weekend Fun with big sis at the Dixie Stampede Exhausted

Hi! We have been so busy. The baby is so funny and cute. He says a few words but not many. He absolutely gets his point across though. He is a great eater and he is mostly a good sleeper. He loves books and blocks. New haircut Dinosaur romper Bonus school pic of G

Our J/F 18ers are getting so big. I feel like I'm drowning at work and I've almost rage quit on multiple occasions this week. So yay. DD is amazing though. She had a huge language explosion last week and is doing something new every day. We (I) finally moved her crib to her own room and *shocker* she's sleeping SO MUCH BETTER. Like, nearly through the night. I will eventually learn how to sleep through the night again. Anytime is churro time.

peachesncream, we have that Where the Wild Things Are hoodie and it is a favorite. I think it is a 2T but DS still squeezes into it sometimes. I'm sure we'll use it for V when she is big enough too. We are good here! I'll try to come back and post some pics if I can figure out how to do it. I only post from my laptop-anyone have tips? I used to use imgur I think but last time I tried it didn't work. School has been draining me but our seniors graduated and the year will be over soon. I'm doing the AP Reading remotely this year, so I will technically miss the last week and go in after I get done with AP to wrap up, so I expect to be done around 6/19. Looking forward to lazy summer days and the pool and the park and the beach and all sorts of stuff. In minor news, we just got a rug for our porch and it makes it so cozy so we're spending a lot of time out there. I love love love summer breakfast on the porch. I'm really back into running. I'm having some weird SI joint tightness (I think, I'm just self-diagnosing) but I'm trying to be gentle with it and stretch a lot and I've given up heels/wedges that seemed to be causing most of that. The kids are starting to be able to do more together it seems, so that is fun and cute! They do love each other.

easternshoregirl I have been getting back into running now that the weather is warmer and it feels so good to be feeling like my old self! Last summer I did run but between breastfeeding and sleeplessness I was pretty slow. It feels good to feel fast again! But if I remember correctly you run much farther than me and go you!

Running is definitely my "thing." It is a huge part of my identity (plus it is my mental health outlet) so it makes me super happy to do it more. I'm glad to hear you are also feeling more like the old you!

Are any of your JF18 kids sleeping in their crib with a blanket, lovey or stuffed animal? Henry does. He’s got a pbk stroller blanket and then 2 stuffed animals (dinosaur and baby). We have a whole routine with them and he won’t sleep without them if he’s at home.

Are any of your JF18 kids sleeping in their crib with a blanket, lovey or stuffed animal? My DS has slept with a lovey for several months now...actually two loveys. I know it was too early but it helped him sleep and he's very attached to both....oops!

Are any of your JF18 kids sleeping in their crib with a blanket, lovey or stuffed animal? Yes, she gets a blanket. Not necessarily the same one every night so it's not a specific object she's attached to but she loves tucking herself in and she hides under it in the morning and plays peekaboo when we go to get her from her crib 😂

yellow711 DS2 has a blanket (or 2 depending on his night), toddler pillow and his stuffed animal. He started the pillow about a month ago. He started with a blanket once he grew out of sleep sacks around a year. sarahh how in the world are you 17 weeks along already?!

I'll give an update on the kiddo later but I wanted to give a quick update on me. It's been a.... long week. After discussions with my doctor it turns out I may have PMDD and not just PMS. I was an absolute wreck a couple of days this week. I seriously felt bipolar and was having issues functioning on work and at home. I'm finally feeling normal today.
My dr doubled my zoloft and if that doesn't work I have to switch medications. I'm hoping to avoid that.

Are any of your JF18 kids sleeping in their crib with a blanket, lovey or stuffed animal? He has been sleeping with a lovey for months now. He is also has a little stuffed bunny in there now. We will give him a blanket in the fall when it gets cooler. It’s way too hot in his room now for that.

Hi!!!! We're keeping busy over here! DD1s dance recital was today and I'm traveling for work Tues-Wed out to Wisconsin. We're great. O is just turning out to be a peanut. We had our 15mo check and the ped is super thrilled w her gross and fine motor and her learning. She knows all her body parts, is starting to talk a little (mama, Dada, my milk, Emma or Memma, and she's starting to pick up words here and there like donut, bye bye, uh oh, tada), can do some signs to communicate, and responds really well to simple commands. She's just continued to drop in weight! We're weighing in at 20#, 9.6oz- a weight her older sister hit by like idk 6months. She's 31" so definitely on the taller side of average but just a peanut! We're under instruction to push healthy fats and try to butter her up a bit. We go back in 3 months. She moves to the toddler room on June 10 at school! One of Emmas friends sisters is about 4 months younger than Olivia so she won't move until probably Sept. It's nice to have two kids about the same age bc it's built in friends for the girls - and us! Work is busy but really good right now. MH just accepted a promotion with a 10% increase and a manager title which is really exciting. My house is a mess. I need like a week off work to clean. Some pics : From today's recital! Pool over last weekend.. O loves it and E did a happy dance!!

O has a lovey, blanket(had the blanket since 12mo), and a water bottle. At 18mo I'll introduce a pillow.

We put the baby down for his nap about 15 minutes earlier than usual in the hopes that he would wake up a little earlier. We had things we wanted to do in the afternoon. Nope. He decided to sleep until 3.

sunfrogger, V just barely was 20# at 15 months but didn't fall off the curve so we are OK. She is a little thing though, and I kind of love it! (since she's the last it makes me feel like she's more of a baby still I guess) I always wonder what they will be like when they are much much older too, like will E be taller than his dad and will V always be a little petite girl or will she get tall???

Yea, O has just dropped on the growth curves. She started out up in the 80s and now she's like idk 18%? But her ped isn't SO concerned that she's pushing a toddler formula so I'm taking her lead. We're going to offer WCM at meals and snacks to try to get 16oz of it in her a day to see if that helps. I was a skinny tiny kid too IRC so we'll see. What's funny is that I can actually get wear out of hand me downs from Ems first summer 🤣🤦🏼♀️
