How old is baby: 3 weeks today! Baby weight/length if you know: just had a dr visit today 8.1 back to exact birth weight. 21.5 grew an inch... Baby milestones: starting to stay awake more. Seems to possibly look at me more. And I’m getting those silly smiles Appointments: 2 months Symptoms: Rants/Raves/Vents: I just told MH I would be fine TTC again... 😬 babies man. I hated being pregnant with my first. Bad. This time I was a little more thankful after my losses I think I just had a different perspective and now I miss my belly and the movements already. I’m not even sure who I am right now lol. And he wants as far away from me as possible I think. Any summer vacation plans? I would like to get down south to visit my H granny but not sure we’ll make it happen Share any BABY pics if you'd like: Read more: howeverithappened.proboards.com/thread/25946/mid-check?page=1#ixzz5nq36Qzel

How old is baby: almost 6 weeks Baby weight/length if you know: at her 1 month well check last week she was 10 pounds 2 ounces. 21.25 inches long. I am guessing she is 10 and half pounds today. Baby milestones: She is starting to smile more. She has rolled over during tummy time like 3 times 😬 Appointments: My six week check up appt is next week. Symptoms: Not really any pregnancy symptoms left my hips still pop more than they used to. i am ready to start working out. Rants/Raves/Vents: nmom I feel the exact opposite of you. I definately do not want to be pregnant again ever. I am getting too old for pregnancy. Any summer vacation plans? We are going to a beach house in maryland the last week of my maternity leave. Should be good. Otherwise no vaction plans once I am back at work.

How old is baby: 4.5 weeks
Baby weight/length if you know: Yesterday at his one month check up he was 6 lbs, 13.5 oz and 20.25 inches. That still sounds so tiny but he’s gained over a full pound since birth.
Baby milestones: He is starting to make eye contact/focus on faces.
Appointments: My 6 week check up is next Thursday.
Rants/Raves/Vents: We may have accidentally transitioned him to the crib last night. He’d been sleeping well in a vibrating angled bassinet and then the vibration broke, and it seemed like he was uncomfortable, constantly squirming, etc. In a fit of desperation I put him down in his crib and he slept! I’m going to try it again tonight.
Any summer vacation plans? Hahaha no. DD wants to go to the beach again this year but we aren’t up for it. Maybe next year, kid.

How old is baby: 8 weeks
Baby weight/length if you know: She weighed 11lbs 3oz yesterday with clothes and diaper on
Baby milestones: She is smiling a lot and trying to giggle
Appointments: A week from Thursday for her 2 month visit with shots
Symptoms: Still sore nipples from breastfeeding. A few cracks too. No bleeding though! Nipples burn after nursing.
Rants/Raves/Vents: We saw a lactation consultant yesterday, and she said DD isn’t lip or tongue tied, and her latch is good. I haven’t been positioning her properly for nursing, and she has been swallowing a lot of air. That makes her very gassy and fussy, and she has been spitting up from the air bubbles. The session was very helpful, and I’m now nursing in the cradle hold and a lateral football-ish hold. DD hasn’t had gas drops in 24 hours, and she’s hardly had any gas! She has also had only one small episode of spitting up.
LC said the new positions should relieve the burning sensation (no thrush), and that the burning is caused by trauma from DD’s strong suck.
Any summer vacation plans? Just local outings within a couple hours.

How old is baby: two months and 3 days old!
Baby weight/length if you know: 12lbs15oz and I think 23 or 24 inches. I forget.
Baby milestones: she is smiling so much now and just starting to have a personality.
Appointments: we had one Friday and not again until July!
Symptoms:
Rants/Raves/Vents: we are just all in love with her. I need to work on nap times but meh. She’s happy for the most part and I have a feeling there will be a lot of stroller naps this summer. Part of being the third kid I think!
Any summer vacation plans? We are going to the outerbanks at the end of July! Other than that I am hoping to do a lot locally.

How old is baby: 1 month Baby weight/length if you know: my non-scientific method of holding her on the scale says 11.4 lbs, which is in line with her growth curve. Baby milestones: She is starting to focus on my face. I think I’ve even gotten a couple smiles. Appointments: I have my 6 week check next week. Her next appointment is 2 month appt. Symptoms: Her- baby acne like crazy, grunty, indecisive about whether to sleep or not. Me- still bleeding, back/abs hurt, hips still don’t fit in my pants. Tired? And I have a cold (yay) Rants/Raves/Vents: Rave- H has been great with DD1. I let him sleep at night because she honestly takes more energy than the baby. Rant- I did ask him to hold DD2 this morning so I could sleep for an hour. Instead he kept putting her in the bassinet where she would start crying. He was *shocked* that her crying kept waking me up. Not sure how he thinks I wake up at night. Any summer vacation plans? No big plans. H doesn’t have any more time off for the year. He will be taking DD1 to his cousin’s wedding in July. We were planning to all go until we got in the car one day with all 4 of us and were like...maybe not. He can flip himself with his persistence though from belly to back. Appointments: today for followup from ER, next Monday for official 2 month appointment Rants/Raves/Vents: The boys both CAN sttn, but never on the same night. Any summer vacation plans? Not working LOL Share any BABY pics if you'd like: my photog's pics are too big of a file size to post But they are on FB if anyone wants to see them. @emes can verify they are cuties! How old is baby: 10 weeks tomorrow
Baby weight/length if you know: At his 2 month appointment last week he was 11lbs (and something oz) and 23.5 inches!
Baby milestones: Lots of smiles and cooing. We even had a whole interactive coo season today.
Appointments: Not until 4 months
Symptoms: I'm pretty much back to normal. I need to get exercise built into my routine again. Right now the best is a walk with the dog and the stroller.
Rants/Raves/Vents: This baby has been very needy. He likes to be touching me and only me. His naps have been crap but his night sleep is getting better. Most nights I get one 6-7 hour stretch.
Any summer vacation plans? We will be going to the beach with family in Aug. I'm not sure of any other trips since DH will have to go to South Dakota to defend his PHD thesis proposal and take his comp exams.

How old is baby: 5.5 weeks
Baby weight/length if you know: he was 22in and 10 lb 11.5oz at one month appointment last week so with how fast he is gaining probably over 11 now. My first was tiny so a big baby is crazy for me.
Baby milestones: he is sleeping 5-6 hours at night which is amazing. I think he is starting to smile when awake and coo. He is awake a lot more.
Appointments: my 6 week appointment is next week I have to schedule his next one for two months.
Symptoms: I have had a rough time. I had an episiotomy and then tore more. The episiotomy cut through nerves so it has been painful. I couldn’t sit at all for a few weeks. It is gettin better but still uncomfortable. It has been hard not to be able to do normal thing especially keeping up with my DD. Anyone else tear or have episiotomy? How has your recovery been?
Rants/Raves/Vents: C hates the car seat and often screams bloody murder. He never does this at home. This has made it hard to get out of the house as much as I want because I’m always weighing if it’s worth upsetting him.
Any summer vacation plans? Hopefully trip to Michigan with my family, but my parents haven’t booked place and I’m worried nothin will be available. We went a few years ago when DD was little and it was fun and easy with a baby.

snickerdoodle I've got a fellow car seat hater. It's been getting better for short trips but this weekend traveling for my brothers wedding was...special. I'm glad we got a hotel and didn't have to do the rice 3 days in a row. Some friends recommended switching to the convertible car seat. We may try it in DH's car. Since he hates it so much he won't fall asleep in it and so I end up pulling him out of the bucket wherever we go and putting him in the wrap anyway. The strange thing is he doesn't mind being in it when it's clicked to the stroller and we go for a walk.

snickerdoodle, tapdancer, Originally we had one convertible seat and one bucket seat, and H did not like the convertible seat as much so when he finally fit the second bucket seat we had we switched him to that and he likes it much more. And I recently got a new car and the first few trips he cried the whole time until I adjusted the angle of the base and now he's happy as can be again. I think the angle of the convertible and how I put the seat in my new car originally were too reclined and he didn't like it, so it might be worth seeing if a different recline helps! Obviously they shouldn't sit too upright yet and need to stay within the allowed recline of the seat, but mine had just enough wiggle room it seemed. I get it though, E haaated the car seat for the first few months of her life and it was miserable.

How old is baby: 11 weeks
Baby weight/length if you know: I think he was 22" at his two month appt, and is around 10lbs now?
Baby milestones: Smiles all the time, and making all kinds of sounds. He's rolled over onto his side from his back a few times, but we apparently don't spend as much time on our tummies as we should because he's never tried to roll over from his tummy, haha. He scoots himself in a full circle though on his back, and is ALWAYS moving.
Appointments: End of June for 4 month.
Symptoms: I feel great. PP hair loss arrived a few weeks ago and UGH I forgot how gross it is, lol.
Rants/Raves/Vents: He sleeps from 8-4ish most nights, then up again around 7am and will usually go back down until 8:30 or so. I'd really like to cut out the 7am wakeup but so far I just want to go back to sleep myself so I feed him real quick and put him back down. I'm betting if I just gave him the pacifier though it would appease him, because he only nurses for 2-4 minutes at that wake up.
Any summer vacation plans? Nothing planned. We'll go to my parent's lake house a few times, I'm sure, but I don't anticipate anything more than that. My grandma lives in FL and I'd love to go visit her and show off H, but I don't think we'll swing it this year.

How old is baby: 8 weeks friday
Baby weight/length if you know: approx. 11 lbs, 22.5 inch
Baby milestones: rolling tummy to back, more "talking" and not a full giggle but little breathy cooing giggles if that makes sense
Appointments: 2 mth dr appt next week for immunizations
Symptoms: she has been consistently sleeping 4 1/2 to 5 hr stretches at night and I think my period may be returning which would be super early for me.
Rants/Raves/Vents: today was just a busy, blah day. Both dds were cranky and fighting and not wanting to go to sleep but definitely need it. We also have a groundhog that has moved in under our shed so not sure what to do with that. My daughter named it Suzie Dan as it can be for a boy or a girl haha
Any summer vacation plans? Right now we just have a plan to visit with all of our family and for dd1's bday in July

DD was very gassy and fussy (would scream during feedings and after) for the last couple of weeks. I actually started feeding her in an almost sitting position because I thought she had reflux. We went to see a lactation consultant this past Monday who helped me properly position DD in the cradle hold and a modified football (but she’s out to the side instead of right next to me - like her body is almost perpendicular to mine), and she hasn’t had any gas hardly. She also burps so much easier. DD hasn’t needed gas drops since Monday. It’s been a huge improvement. I never knew positioning could make that much difference in how gassy a baby is/isn’t.

Hey y’all! How old is baby: one month, 3 days Baby weight/length if you know: 10lbs 13oz (73rd %), 22 inches long (77th %) on Monday. His head circumference is in the 93rd %, so my vagina is kind of thankful for the emergency csection. Baby milestones: he’s all about side sleeping. He also grew out of his little newborn clothes 😭 Appointments: we had his one month appt on Monday. Next is 6/14. I have my 6 week appt the first week of June, and H is seeing a therapist for PPD/ PTSD weekly. Symptoms: poor kid is so gassy. No reflux that we can see, but we’ve tried everything. Looks like he just needs to grow out of it we have started combo feeding with some gentlease formula and I’m weaning off dairy since I think he may have a slight intolerance. I’ve still got some residual lochia, but nothing awful. Rants/Raves/Vents: I got to celebrate Mother’s Day 💙 Last year we didn’t know if we’d ever get to be parents, and this year I was up at midnight, 3 and 6am feeding my baby. Any summer vacation plans? We’ll head to H’s grandparents place (our future beach house) in the outer banks a few times, but summer is H’s busy season, so no long vacations. We did schedule a week in the NC mountains for October though, since H’s parents are considering a move to Asheville (SQUEEEEE!) Share any BABY pics if you'd like: poof

How old is baby: 11 weeks on Monday
Baby weight/length if you know: they were 12lb7.5 and 12lb9.5 at their 2 month appt, 23 inches long. Growing out of the 3 month size, or maybe I shrunk stuff in the wash
Baby milestones: Rolling tummy to back, so many smiles, reaching out for toys
Appointments: 4 month in July
Symptoms: Nothing really, I feel pretty good! My stomach is still really stretched, I was trying on my work pants and nothing fits yet.
Rants/Raves/Vents: my ILs are coming back end of May and I'm excited! They are only staying for a week this time and I feel so much more confident now. Plus maybe my H and I can sneak away to see the Avengers movie!
Any summer vacation plans? Nothing really, I'd like to take a long weekend to southwest Michigan maybe, and rent a condo/house for ease of travel with kids. DD loves the beach.
