I’m looking at buying the Cosco finale for my DD as her travel seat and I’m having second thoughts about whether to flip her yet. I really don’t want to lug her britax on the plane again. But I would rather wait until 4 to turn her. We have that seat for DS1 and it works well for travel. He is always FF but would you be comfortable doing FF just for trips and keep her RF when home? I know it’s not ideal but other seats are so damn heavy. And funny enough, you traveling was why I came in here. I don’t think I ever saw when you guys were coming back. I saw that June 9th is IPTV Kids Clubhouse day at the ballpark. It’s a day game and we were going to bring be kids. I wasn’t sure if that was during your trip or not. I see this has been covered lol.

Good morning! Our house sold this week. We have like a three week gap between closings which stinks, but we'll figure it out. C is running a fever this morning and is very grumpy. Poor kiddo. Going to dose her up with Motrin because we're planning to do the last of our vendor meetings today for our new house so I need her to not be a monster. Congrats! Can you rent back from the new buyers? We did that for a month while we transitioned and it worked well.

But I would rather wait until 4 to turn her. On the plane? There is zero room for rear facing in the Cosco (ETA: we have a scenera, not sure they even make that anymore, and oops I think it may be expired actually). I front faced DD2 on the plane and she is only 18 months. 🤷♀️ We still RF in the car. You could always forward face for travel and then continue to RF everywhere else. DD1 stopped using a car seat on a plane at like 2, or whenever I could be confident she would stay in her seat. I’ve never used a car seat on the plane. 🤷🏼♀️ No for traveling. I’m just worried my stubborn ass daughter will get a taste of FF on the trip and fight RF forever at home. The scerena we have I use for DS now for travel; I’m pretty sure DD has outgrown the RF specs.

All 4 of E’s canines have been coming in for a few weeks now, and this morning I noticed she’s also got one of her second molars (2 year molars) coming in on the bottom. So crazy. My kid still only has 8 teeth. She's going to be teething forever. E had all of her teeth by 15 months and all four 2 year molars by her second birthday. This month long crankiness to cut a single tooth is going to kill me with this kid.

Still only two bottom, which is pretty cute, but I'm starting to wonder about 3 and 4! She is an awful teether though. She doesn't have her mom's pain threshold haha.

His top two canines are through so he has all of his top teeth except two year molars. On the bottom he has his molars but only the front 2 otherwise. It’s strange how different siblings can be.

I’ll let you know if we end up going to the zoo or something one of the days. Understandable! We met cnf at the zoo when she was here. So you know I at least didn’t murder one person 😜

Good morning! We had a great weekend. The weather was finally nice and we played outside a lot. We did go to the flower show and it was pretty crowded. We didn't buy anything but food. LOL. N had a monster ice cream and he ate every last bite. He's his mother's child alright.
I got a small milkshake for E and he kept drinking and then going mmmmmm.... It was so cute. But later that night he had a terrible night sleep due to gas. I guess dairy still affects him.
As for teeth, E has 8 teeth but his top molars have broken through the skin . He definitely is more affected by teething than N was. They seem to take forever to come in.

Congrats, cnf !!! So glad to hear your sister is out of the hospital, thatgolfb ! Well, we did it - now the proud owner of a 2017 CRV. Payments are within what we can handle, and the safety features are amazing. Bit in shock about it Saturday night so I had a tiny meltdown when N wouldn't go to sleep - between the new car stuff, H's schedule, N being a toddler, and CD1, I was just kind of at the end of my mental and physical rope, you know? Luckily N slept in yesterday so we all got some needed rest. Still wound up with a migraine last night, and I'm stuffy/coughing again. I don't know what I did to the universe to have a cough on my heavy days two cycles in a row, but OMG I AM SORRY UNIVERSE PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. (Seriously the pollen this season is awful.) Feeling very meh about last night's Game of Thrones. N has 12 teeth, and we think he's teething again because he's drooling up a storm, chewing on his fingers, and going from zero to "throwing himself down on the floor"-tantrum level in about 30 seconds.

Hello. I’m soo tired. C started squawking at 4am this morning. I tried to hold out hoping he’d go back to sleep, but he started crying around 4:30 so we got up. He was super sweet and cute all morning though. I’m dragging at work. Looking forward to next weekend already!

MIL brought a ton home for us too. When you were first talking about Dutch letters I thought you meant the chocolate letters you get at Christmas time! My mom is Dutch, but I'd never heard of your version. grumpycat, I'm so sorry 😫 cakewench, congrats on the new ride! Fancy! It's a holiday up here so we went to watch the parade this morning, Jojo's first one. It was the worst weather day we've had all weekend, but it ended up only raining for a few minutes and a bit of sprinkling at other times. She loved it though and it was good to get her together with her cousins! Now she's napping and I'm considering doing the same 😊

Happy Tuesday, all! Would be happier if I wasn’t at work, of course. But I had an unexpected 4 day weekend since DCP called out sick on Friday. So at least I feel somewhat rested.
Tomorrow is C’s 18 month appt. I know DD1 will want to come, too. Which is fine as long as she is in a good mood.
I have all early days at work this week, and I’m working Saturday. Which is fine, we have nothing planned.

Morning!
I went to bed too late as usual and forgot to make the guacamole for work today. I had bought all the stuff on Sunday so I whipped it up quick this morning- hopefully it's good.
I took off Friday, Monday is the holiday and took off Tuesday for my birthday so I have a nice looooooong weekend coming up! Too bad my H literally works everyday except Monday 😒

My parents and ILs have decided on a time frame to take the girls this summer. My parents will be coming down on 4th of July, and then taking them up to nor Cal on the 6th. Then the ILs will pick them up mid week the following week (they live an hour from each other up there), and then drive down the following weekend to drop them back off. We never get extended time alone at our house, so I am excited!
I already booked us a cabana at a resort pool for that Sunday. It was the last one available on Resort Pass. I am so stoked.

A week of no kids sounds amazing thatgolfb. I have no daycare for the summer and N's school isn't doing summer camp this year due to lack of interest for 9 long weeks. That means I will have both boys all day long, which sounds like hell for me right now. I mean, I love my boys, but I am not looking forward to having be a referee between the two all day and attempting to keep E out of the road, or off the stairs, or out of any other dangerous situation. Good lord I'm exhausted just thinking about it. I'm 40 years old. I'm too old for this. LOL.

When I picked up N the other night, he was at the tail end of a nasty coughing fit and apparently had trouble catching his breath. Called the pedi, said to keep an eye on him during the night and bring him in to get checked out in the AM. He's fine, nothing in his lungs and apparently just has a perfect storm of gunk in his upper respiratory tract (cold, allergies, and drool from teething). Pedi said he was big enough to use children's Zyrtec for the allergies, so we are giving that a shot to see if it helps. I on the other hand did not plan on this happening and left my Claritin at the office, so I'm a bit of a mess this morning but N's doing great. So glad you are going to get some alone time, thatgolfb! H has suggested doing something similar, and my parents are willing, we just need to decide what to do.
