Half way through May and catching up. Sorry for sick kiddos all around, and I hope your sister gets well thatgolfb! I only used dreft for one bottle with each kid before switching to the free and clear we use for the rest of the fam. Happy Mother’s day to all. I’ve been busy trying to choose a contractor for a bathroom remodel, grappling with how much simply redoing the tub and shower only is going to cost, and choosing all of the materials as of lately. We won’t start until after our trip, but I feel anxiety about choosing something I won’t end up liking and $$. Also ILs want to continue to watch ds once a week, so now dh (I’m making him deal with it) needs to coordinate with dc about when we will move him to 4 d/wk instead of when he moves to the toddler room in a month.

Monday morning came way too early. E slept like shit and so basically I slept from 1-5. Not a great way to start the week. He had been doing better although he has slept through the night exactly one time.
5 weeks of school left and I am starting to feel the end of the year rush to get everything in.

When we were remodeling our master bath it was pertinent that I trusted our contractor. I am very indecisive and he told me what would work and what would look good. I love the way our bathroom turned out. It's stressful, but as long as you trust the people you're working with you'll be fine. I didn't trust our kitchen guy, and I still have regrets about it.

Guys... AJ climbed out of his crib this morning 😮 It's at the lowest level. I guess that's what happens when you get a kid (ds3) who never climbed out at all.

Thank you! That is one reason I selected the contractor my friend recommended even though he’s been a little less official to this point. I think I’ll be able to communicate better with him. He’s drafting a contract right now. My last week of “decisions” I’m debating was the tub (I went and sat in tubs in a showroom Thursday at lunch), the tile trim since bullnose isn’t an option with the tiles I’m choosing, and whether to do oil rubbed bronze vs brushed nickel. I’m leaning toward bronze because I like that look, damn faucets are expensive though! Lol. Also the tub I want has a 3 week lead time from most big box stores, so I’m trying to time it to either be delivered before we leave, or the day after we get back so we have time to replace in case it comes broken. Am I just stressing myself out about things I don’t need to?! Lol

quinn ldubhawksfan, I do think brushed nickel would be more timeless, but bronze is more of a statement Good luck with the reno, I think it's a bit stressful no matter what!

I don’t think we plan on selling for a long time, but it is a factor that most people would probably rather have Nickel than the bronze. I don’t want to spend 2 grand of stupid faucets that someone would just toss out down the line anyway! Ha Of course my dh got 2 bronze faucets for our sinks last year on craigslist but apparently it isn’t a color that is offered anymore because it’s so much lighter than what is out there now.

But we do have hard water and it leaves a white film on the inside of the faucets and I have to clean it constantly. Something to think about. It may all be stressful now but will be so worth it. Please post pics when it's done!

Thanks quinn and blabbermouth. I will def share before and afters.

Literally take the adjustable bottom piece out and plop the mattress on the floor within the four walls of the crib.

Happy to announce no snow when I woke up this morning. Although, there was snow mixed in with the rain on my way in. I'm really hoping we are just a little too far south of the mountains to get anything during the day. We got our first snowfall in October so I am just over it. However, it's only in the 30's here.

Glad it wasn't too bad this morning, sarahandben108 . I've got friends in western MA posting pics of snow and I can't believe it. N hasn't tried to climb out of the crib yet, probably because he's still in a sleep sack. FX it stays that way, lol Any escape attempts last night, quinn ? Fixing H's car was over our pain point, so it looks like we're searching for something. H tried to pull some "well maybe we should fix it so I have a car while we look for one"... I told him if it was going to take a long time to find a car, fine. But if he can find a car on Saturday, then it's not worth it. Then the mechanic offered to buy it as-is. I dropped H there on our way to DC this morning, so I think H is going to take him up on it but ask to wait until Saturday. I've already found six cars on Carfax (three sedans and three SUVs) within 10 miles of our zip. Finding something used/not special for him to commute in won't be hard. I hope.

Morning!
H took ds1 up north this morning for a few days. It's the first time just him and H and he was SO excited to go!
Nothing super exciting over here otherwise, ds2 started to say "hi" and it is super cute!
