Week/EDD/Baby's age: 35+4, due 6/6
Baby is the size of: butternut squash
FTM, Etc: FTM
Team: 💙
Appointments: counseling today, OB on Friday
Milestones: only about a month left!
Symptoms: I’m sleeping horribly. Back pain still (though it’s better when I remember to move all the time). Peeing all the time.
Rants: I’m so over people telling me I can’t do XYZ just because that’s common advice. Like with painting. I paint for work, I know how to read MSDS sheets, my OB and I have had discussions about which paints/chemicals are perfectly safe and which I should avoid. But when people hear that I did some of the painting in the nursery and our bedroom, they freak out. “Oh, you can’t do that!” Chill out, I bought zero-VOC paint, made sure to ventilate the room, and didn’t do ladder work myself. I know a lot more about paint safety than most people, you’d think that especially those who know what I teach would trust me to be safe.
Raves: only one week left in the semester! My finals will be over the 15th, then I just need to get grades in, finish the designs for Wizard of Oz this summer, and I’m done with work!

Good luck quinstar! Especially with this week’s weather forecast being all over the place, being here the night before sounds like a good idea.

Good luck tomorrow, quinstar! bonzo, I hear you on the whole what people say you should and should not do in pregnancy. Especially when something is your job, and you have done all the leg work to know what is safe or not it can be really annoying. Good for you for taking the time to find the safe way to do things.

courtniko, exactly! I wasn’t going to just quit my job, so I made sure I was familiar with everything we use in class. Of course, since I work with college students, I’ve had some funny conversations with them. “You’ll have to use the PVC cement on a day I’m not here, and make sure you ventilate the room and wear a mask.” “Wait, why can’t you be here?” “Because it says on the safety label here Not Safe for Pregnant or Breastfeeding Women” “Oooh”

I came to see if there are any outside babies yet... we're getting close!
I'm due tomorrow, went late with my other two, but I've been having contractions for a few weeks, which have really thrown me off since I never has them with my other two (these aren't Braxton Hicks, they're the real ones, just not consistent enough to be real labor.)
We live abroad and my sil is coming to help... of course we banked on baby 3 also coming late and scheduled her for the 14th. Now I'm anxious she'll come on time lol. At least we have some friends to help, just hate the idea of calling someone in the motn.

I just had to take of my wedding band. Surprised that my hands are swelling enough for this. My DD was a summer baby and I was able to keep my ring on the entire time. Less than 2 weeks of this I hope. Anyone else have to ditch the rings ? I had to with my previous 2 pretty early on because I get horrible dry spots under them. Surprisingly I have been able to keep them on the whole time this time. I also had foot and ankle swelling with my other 2, and none this time around. Pregnancy is weird.

I just put some Vaseline on it so far. Just vaseline, or other lotion. Nothing ever helped all that much.
